Hi Jason. Can you map a video configuration directly to the record button so that when I am in photo manual mode by pressing record it starts recording with that video configuration set before?
Is it possible to preserve camera settings in the Sony ZV-E1 in S&Q? For example I’d like to keep my shutter settings saved when I switch to S&Q but it mirrors what I have in video mode.
at 10:15 what is meant by push colour too hard ? is it some editing stuff ? wont it record like that in good colour simply ? , also you kept saying 10bit, all those options are 10bit, !
Hi Jason, I did the settings same as you. I got an issue with it though. After I’ve changed the settings, my videos now can’t be viewed on my macbook, everything is black. The audio can be heard though and the videos can be viewed through the camera as well. Hope you can help out. Thanks.
@Jason, you talked about S.Cinetone (PP11) and how it is the same as Cine Vlog mode but without the black bars. The two have subtle differences but I could never work out what the difference is. I've played with PP11 settings but I could never get the exact look of Cine Vlog which captures the bright areas slightly differently. Would you happen to know what creates that difference?
My ZVE1 is showing ‘hot pixels’ regularly when the sensor gets warm it seems to trigger it. Think it may be defective? The pixel mapping seems to get rid at least temporarily and wants to auto run almost every time o switch it on?
when changing from the Video S&Q and Photo modes - can you save your exposure settings of each unchanged? i mean if i setup a sertain shutter in photo and video and switch between will i need to reset it?

I have a 15 pro max and when i try to connect the camera to the app, it says "select an accesory" as shown on video but nothing appears on the list, even if a wait for several minutes nothing happened and this happened since i took the camera out of the box and i tried tweaking some setitings on phone and camera but nothing happened. Any idea? (i updated the camera to latest firmware but that didn't solve the issue)

I've got one question that gives me some headaches today : When I use zebras on Slog 3 with a picture profile (the traditional way) or with the vairable ISO (the new way), the result is totally different while the settings are exactly the same ! I mean, in both cases I use Slog3, S-Gamut3.Cine and gamma assist display r709(800%). With the traditional way my zebras need to be at 94+ while with the new way they have to be set at 109+ for the exact same result ! Any thoughts anyone ? sir I am a wedding filmmaker | have planned to buy FX30 but it has crop sensor and at 4K 120fps crop is too much in it full frame of FX3 The sensor felt that it would be suitable for me and there is no heating issue in it, so please tell me, should I buy it?
If you have the budget for FX3, it's probably the best camera you can buy for literally any kind of work be it wedding, commercial, travel films, short films whatever. It doesn't overheat, has a great body, extremely beautiful video quality, 4K 120 what else can we expect from a cinema style camera
Hi Jason, I am travelling solo and would like to kind of replace the iPhone selfies with self-portraits with some bokeh (that still kind of gives away say that I am in front of Eifell). I am already planning to buy the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 lense, and this will be my only prime. I will be using Sony A6100 APSC camera. Which prime lense will you recommend?

Jason, or anyone for that matter. My 1080p 240Hz option is not showing up under my S & Q. I did update the firmware to 1.02 and I have access to 4k 120, but no 1080p 240. Can someone help?
Do you know if there's enough pixels for Active Steadyshot in 4k or if there is upscaling going on? I definitely think there's upscaling using Dynamic Active Steadyshot in 4k. But how is the quality compared to analog zooming in with the feature turned off, or taking a step closer to the subject? How is the upscaled 4k compared to 1080? What do you think? Hold back for now if you intend buying any pro cameras as their operating systems are finally going to be changed to the one similar to that of the smart phones. So we can shoot and relay contents to the outside world directly without transferring your footages into computer first. Present operating systems as we know are pretty much outdated and cumbersome.
challenge for you all... this camera has no multiport.. i need to be able to trigger it remotely and blueooth is the only way.. i want to put it on a motorised slider for timelapse which has to utilise move shoot move.. due to needing long exposures.. sony has stated its possible to do it through the usb-c port.. but they dont support it and nobody has made anything.. same problem with the a7c... theres one random dude, thats selling a bluetooth remote with a 2.5mm jack connected, he states it works.. but h'es charging a small fortune for it.. does anyone have any thoughts? basically need to be able to triggert the shutter via a cable. thanks!

I think it's fine. Generally I do post-zooms up to 150% and can get away with it.
I bought my sony zv-e1 from Amazon japan and its in Japanese language! Is there any chance to change that language to English!
