Beautiful locomotive. I saw it in Plymouth on that day and in Dereham on the Mid Norfolk Railway with one of the two preserved Royal Scots a long time ago. Great video 👍
The original Coronation Scot class after the streamlining had been removed. Loved it this way. I remember when it used to fly by our house, which was atop a sunken embankment, in the evening with the fire box aglow and the reflection dived across my bedroom ceiling. The house shook with the power and weight. Always knew when it was coming from the roar through the water pickup at Bushey. Great days, loved it. One of the more powerful steam engines of its day.

Such a beautiful locomotives, and looks so regal in crimson.
Gorgeous sight and sound
I had no idea there was a safety valve positioned on the tender. Is that a modification or standard build fitting?
Air brake pump I think. Possibly. Or something to do with steam heat
It may be the steam coal pusher, which was a feature on the Princess Coronation class.
It’s the steam powered coal pusher in the back of the tender
Coal pusher. Quite unique
No need for the Taps to be OPEN??
Who says that steam loco's aren't living and breathing things.
