I'm sure you probably won't see this, but I thought I'd try. I am a big sufferer of anxiety and depression. I hit an all time amazing high August of last year when a monster came to my city and went into Walmart and picked off 22 people. I'm a retail employee and was supposed to be working in the next building over. Circumstances had me take the day off. Anyway, your videos were suggested. I had tried before but didn't feel I could keep up. I found your videos for anxiety. You've changed my life. I'm still learning and struggling but whenever I feel overwhelmed I go to one of your videos. I'm now doing them daily in quarantine and am interested in learning more. Thank you for this

So glad to see this one on the calendar again. The last time six months ago I was simply too tired and not as engaged with it. Today, I once again felt the subtle aspects, even more than previously. If you are new to practice, do not be discouraged if you do not feel or understand everything. There will always be peaks and valleys, ups and then downs again. But over time, you will intuitively notice those areas where you can move more fully into poses. 💜🙏🏼 Meditate day 13. 770 days in a row.🌱🌳
Thank you for your words of inspiration. I am new to YWA, having started her ROOT series for April 2023 on the 1st of April. I'm not new to yoga but I have a new mindset going into my yoga practice this time around. I am in awe of people who have 30+ days in a row of yoga. 365 or more days in a row sounds like such a huge number and I instantly become discouraged. I know what works for me and 30 days at a time is doable. I am just plugging away days at a time so I can keep going. Thank you for sharing! 💙🖤✨
I find it so beautiful that this was the practice chosen for today's free yoga calendar/playlist. Nine years after this video comes out, and it's exactly what I needed today. I haven't been following along since we wrapped up our month of yoga in January, but maybe this is my sign to return. A lovely grounding practice on a day that I sorely needed to reconnect with myself and the earth. Thank you, Adriene, for reminding me that we're all connected.

I was doing tree pose, and looking outside, and this squirrel, stood on the woodpile looking in on me through the window we exchanged gaze and gratitude for mother earth I think. :)
I've done this practice multiple times, this is the first time I had fun with it. Singing "I've got the whole world in my hands". And really making it my own Lol. It was fun! Thanks Adriene for being you and doing all of this for us!! This practice of connecting all the dots and untying all the knots has been my "meditation" for life. I'm truly grateful!!!!!

But, not sin e I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver , so the fact that I was able to finish it to the end is great progress for me, yay🎉. So , thank you very much. Sun is shining and melting snow here where I live. REFRESH Day 21, enjoyed the tree pose today, I could even breath deep while at the pose. Just so happy I can finally after many years take a deep breath without feeling tightness on my back muscles. Lovely day to all of you

P.S. I love I can watch the changes in Adriene's videos throughout time! The changes in how transitions are presented, the way she speaks, everything. It encourages me to start my so longly delayed channel (not about yoga, though).

Was so delighted to find this Earth Day practice in Adriene's playlist, bc today is Earth Day 2022! And my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed these grounding poses :) We are going to take our mats out this afternoon & try to find a good spot where we can see the mountain range (sending much love from Denver, Colorado, USA!) so that we can ground & attempt to do tree pose in stillness. My mind is often on overload, so I really want to try to accomplish clearing my mind while connecting to Earth Mother

Just finished HOME and decided to jump into whatever video was on the calendar today. As someone who has always been "balance-challenged" (aka clumsy), it was a shock that I only fell over once! Adding a daily yoga session with Adriene is the best decision I've made in a long time.

Apr 21, 2022 05:56 Intention : seek balance by connecting to nature This practice reminds me to hug a tree for healing, occasionally take off my shoes and walk to feel the earth on my skin, and ultimately if budget allows, come and hear the sound of the sea. For the meantime in our busy life this practice is perfect for me to stay grounded and be at the present moment and today I challenge myself to close my eyes in tree pose, although I fall, I could close my eyes for three seconds and I am happy I did the challenge. I love reading the comments. Everyone's stories are so inspiring. Im happy to share that my left leg and right leg have balanced out now during tree pose! Before my left foot would slip off, and it was a total struggle. Today, it was like it'd never happened. Hopefully that balance contunues. Love you YWA community and Mother Earth. ♥️

Build, April 22, 2024. I did this one for the first on Earth Day in 2023. At the time, I was dipping my toes into the YWA vibe and hadn't quite found my footing with the practice yet. Or I found some of the days too challenging. This year I believe a groove is found and what was once a challenge is soaked in and is all flowing like air and water. This month of Build has affirmed strength and improvement. Namaste. 😊💙

Today I'm saying goodbye to my old job and collegues. Even though I'm content with my decision, it's still going to be an emotional moment. I'm in Canada and we are getting an April snowstorm this morning. It was amazing to do this grounding practice with the snow furiously falling outside. I felt like I could stand outside in the snow and wind and I would be so grounded I wouldn't move and inch!
Looking back on this past year, my balancing has improved tremendously, but it behooves one who has balancing issues to practice, practice, and more practice. Besides doing balancing in a yoga session, I'll practice outside, in stores and out in the public. The four points on our feet and core centering will help and improve one's balancing. Thanks kiddo!

I really appreciated the non-harming message at the end. I hope it'll be elaborated more in a future video. I'm a recovering perfectionist and I often struggle with feeling frustrated that a pose I'm doing isn't "perfect" when there are numerous other measures that prove my daily yoga practice is working.

Enjoyed this practice in 2017 and not on Earth Day because EVERYDAY should be Earth Day. I will definitely be returning to this practice, I feel so grounded and connected. 4/23/23: happy earth day!! this was a little hard to follow, because, like most of adriene's older videos, it wasn't designed to be a full flow, but instead just a few poses slapped together. however, it was somewhat calming and I was able to get grounded. i was pretty wobbly today in tree pose, because i haven't done yoga much during this busy week, but i'm hoping to get back to my daily practice this week :)

So I practiced this on April 20 2021 so technically two days before earth day (from the renew calendar) and ironically I had decided to go out onto a pier to do it. I actually felt the pier move twice so I was technically on water not earth haha! But after the practice as Adriene said some words on not harming other life, I noticed a tiny caterpillar had appeared out of nowhere onto my leg. I collected my things and walked to the nearest tree/bushel area to set it down. I have no idea what tree it might eat but I knew that by the water was probably no place for it. Thanks for the inspiration. The universe came together for me that afternoon. ❤️

I really needed grounding today. I've got a job interview by phone later today for the biggest "rank" I've ever had, never done this in my life. I have been feeling restless and out of sorts today. Finally decided to try a little meditation, a short yoga practice and then a lavender oil bath. This was definitely the right practice and I feel much more centred and grounded now. Good choices made today 🙏💞
I love this practice. Some will think I'm crazy, but I really feel grounded, focused and energized every time I do it! Especially, my breath stays slow and calm, even when I'm rushing around doing the tasks of the day. Thank you Adriene. This is a real gift!

Sun is shining and melting snow here where I live. REFRESH Day 21, enjoyed the tree pose today, I could even breath deep while at the pose. Just so happy I can finally after many years take a deep breath without feeling tightness on my back muscles. Lovely day to all of you

Refresh day 21- Those were the best tree poses I've ever had so far. I'm so glad I'm sticking to daily yoga.

Was so delighted to find this Earth Day practice in Adriene's playlist, bc today is Earth Day 2022! And my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed these grounding poses :) We are going to take our mats out this afternoon & try to find a good spot where we can see the mountain range (sending much love from Denver, Colorado, USA!) so that we can ground & attempt to do tree pose in stillness. My mind is often on overload, so I really want to try to accomplish clearing my mind while connecting to Earth Mother

Just finished HOME and decided to jump into whatever video was on the calendar today. As someone who has always been "balance-challenged" (aka clumsy), it was a shock that I only fell over once! Adding a daily yoga session with Adriene is the best decision I've made in a long time.

Intention : seek balance by connecting to nature
This practice reminds me to hug a tree for healing, occasionally take off my shoes and walk to feel the earth on my skin, and ultimately if budget allows, come and hear the sound of the sea. For the meantime in our busy life this practice is perfect for me to stay grounded and be at the present moment and today I challenge myself to close my eyes in tree pose, although I fall, I could close my eyes for three seconds and I am happy I did the challenge.

I love reading the comments. Everyone's stories are so inspiring. Im happy to share that my left leg and right leg have balanced out now during tree pose! Before my left foot would slip off, and it was a total struggle. Today, it was like it'd never happened. Hopefully that balance contunues. Love you YWA community and Mother Earth. ♥️
Follow up, the tree pose yesterday was the same! Like there was never even a struggle! It's quite an exquisite feeling-delicate, gentle and natural to return back home to myself. Sending so much love and gratitude to the YWA community. ♥️♥️♥️
Build, April 22, 2024. I did this one for the first on Earth Day in 2023. At the time, I was dipping my toes into the YWA vibe and hadn't quite found my footing with the practice yet. Or I found some of the days too challenging. This year I believe a groove is found and what was once a challenge is soaked in and is all flowing like air and water. This month of Build has affirmed strength and improvement. Namaste. 😊💙

Today I'm saying goodbye to my old job and collegues. Even though I'm content with my decision, it's still going to be an emotional moment. I'm in Canada and we are getting an April snowstorm this morning. It was amazing to do this grounding practice with the snow furiously falling outside. I felt like I could stand outside in the snow and wind and I would be so grounded I wouldn't move and inch!

Looking back on this past year, my balancing has improved tremendously, but it behooves one who has balancing issues to practice, practice, and more practice. Besides doing balancing in a yoga session, I'll practice outside, in stores and out in the public. The four points on our feet and core centering will help and improve one's balancing. Thanks kiddo!
I have to say as Adriene always said that there is nothing like a balancing practice to show us how much in tune we are like boy was I struggling with tress posture today but I needed it to help me find my center and circle back to being present and calming down my worried mind cos thank you Adriene much love to everyone , stay safe and healthy , Namaste Everyone and goodnight 💞💗💓💖❤🙏

I really appreciated the non-harming message at the end. I hope it'll be elaborated more in a future video.
I'm a recovering perfectionist and I often struggle with feeling frustrated that a pose I'm doing isn't "perfect" when there are numerous other measures that prove my daily yoga practice is working.

I have been feeling really terrible today, since last night. sinking into deep state of rumination / worry / anxiety / stress / just not wanting to do anything. this video REALLY perk me a bit. Much appreciate. I was swaying to your - ' she's gotta the whole world in her hands ...' then tree pose, I fall so many times ... which is reflection of my state of mind. Enjoyed this practice in 2017 and not on Earth Day because EVERYDAY should be Earth Day. I will definitely be returning to this practice, I feel so grounded and connected. 4/23/23: happy earth day!! this was a little hard to follow, because, like most of adriene's older videos, it wasn't designed to be a full flow, but instead just a few poses slapped together. however, it was somewhat calming and I was able to get grounded. i was pretty wobbly today in tree pose, because i haven't done yoga much during this busy week, but i'm hoping to get back to my daily practice this week :)

So I practiced this on April 20 2021 so technically two days before earth day (from the renew calendar) and ironically I had decided to go out onto a pier to do it. I actually felt the pier move twice so I was technically on water not earth haha! But after the practice as Adriene said some words on not harming other life, I noticed a tiny caterpillar had appeared out of nowhere onto my leg. I collected my things and walked to the nearest tree/bushel area to set it down. I have no idea what tree it might eat but I knew that by the water was probably no place for it. Thanks for the inspiration. The universe came together for me that afternoon.

I have been feeling restless and out of sorts today. Finally decided to try a little meditation, a short yoga practice and then a lavender oil bath. This was definitely the right practice and I feel much more centred and grounded now. Good choices made today 🙏💞
I love this practice. Some will think I'm crazy, but I really feel grounded, focused and energized every time I do it! Especially, my breath stays slow and calm, even when I'm rushing around doing the tasks of the day. Thank you Adriene. This is a real gift!

I needed grounding today. Balance vs control is what I'm striving for. My tree is somewhat wobbly and can't believe how my balance has changed over the years. Use it or lose it! I choose using it and loving it. Happy Earth Day!

Being on mindfulness journey and this series of process is finding / connecting self (and others) knowing that coming to the mat, setting self to intention(s) / being part of communities/ reminding self of what serves us and allowing just being or letting go - thank you for such an important of reminding self of grounding/ thankful to nature / mother earth (as I practise this with heavy downpour thunder storm) Namaste to all practising :)
