    A car is a depreciating asset. We always buy used at least 3 years old and run it into the ground. What I consider investment is a practical education. I get a 9-5 job so I can start saving and investing to earn Dividends, get a Side hustle for extra income so I can buy rental properties for passive income.

As a Filipina who was born and raised in US, the fact that you both speak mainly English does help a lot, so thank you for that. I am trying to learn Tagalog, so I do love that sometimes you burst into here and there as well as mix it into your sentences.

    Knowing your podcast channel last year is one of my greatest and proudest discoveries ever. I appreciate your contents so much--whether they be simple topics, timely issues or even those we consider taboo. I love everything most especially the money/financial episodes. I love how your stories are so relatable, how your decisions are mostly practical (you even share the wrong ones) and how your thought process works.
    I'm just amazed how accessible good contents are nowadays--how it only requires internet and a chance encounter with a youtube channel to build a healthy habit, i.e. watching your podcast and applying whatever I learn from it in my own decisions. So, thank you. Thank you for the great work. I hope I can better express my gratitude but this is all I can think up. :)

    thanks for this vlog :) it is important to learn about investing, inflation will just kill the value of your cash if you just let it sit.
    whether you invest in real estate, stocks, properties etc, it is important to be diversified and not put your eggs on one basket. also with stock investing, it is important for your stocks to be negatively correlated - in that way, losses in one stock will not wipe out your portfolio.
    one thing a lot of us neglect also is that we all put our money in investments, but we don't leave enough for emergency/short-term expenses. we must learn to balance the allocation of our income between short and long-term goals/needs.

    Financial guro once said that it will only be an "investment" if it's earning and go directly to your pocket, buying a car or a house is not an investment unless if it's intended for grab or airbnb/rental.

    • @jacchoa
      @jacchoa 3 роки тому +2

      True, both are liablities not assets.. unless you make money out of it. So condos/houses/cars is not really an investment if your intent is only to use it personally or live on it. As long as hindi bumalik yun pera na ginastos nyo plus hindi din kayo tumubo then considered as expense lang mga yan..
