DJI OSMO X5 and Crystal Sky Monitor?

- Before i ordered the 5.5 Crystal sky monitor. there wasn't much info on it with the osmo x5. Curious if it works? here you go.

How secure is the monitor on there? Could I snowboard with it?
Zach's Crappy fishing Vlogs it’s very secure, I shoot rolling shots of cars out the window around 50-60mph and I’ll hold it by the monitor bracket and it’s fine. Just be careful if you fall lol
get a GoPro. You'll be glad you did. Or at least the pocket Osmo.
Have you used the wired video adapter to connect to crystal sky? or are you just using using wifi connection and letting the usb cord dangle from the mount?? I have everything you've got here except for the focus wheel and I cannot get a wired connection to work, only wifi. not really sure what the usb cord is even there for it won't make a wired connection. I love the crystalsky setup once its up and running... but a I'm a bit disappointed it takes as much time if not more time to get up and running as compared to using an iPhone. And my crystalsky also freezes if i don't shut it down for battery swaps...
Yeah the wired connection never worked for me either. but i also never did the update on the monitor. I feel like if i do, i'll end up with new problems from what i read on the forums. but overall mine has been working great so i don't mess with it. On my iphone it would take almost 2 mins to get started. on the crystal it's 40 secs...even when i switch lenses it's a quick sync. How long is yours taking? and i also notice it can be a bit glitchy if i switch the screen off for longer then 10 mins and try to look through an SD card. but i just reboot and it's fine.
Hi It's been 4 weeks, have you used the CS monitor through it's wired connection? does it work? does having it wired remove the lag from the video? thank you.
We have one of these. We have a ton of gear, but this is the BIGGEST disappointment we own. The up-and-run time is unacceptable for what it supposed to be a fantastic run-and-gun camera system. It's a huge failure due to the need for wifi connection to a iphone or this useless Crystalsky monitor. It's just awful. It's 2" away from the camera, so why do I need it to be wireless?! Why produce and sell wired connection that doesn't even work?!! Completely useless. DJI blew it on this one.
This is awesome set up. Is there a video to show how the bracket was installed and monitor plugged into what???? Someone said there is a DJI video with instructions but I can’t seem to find it...!!!!

hey, yes it's possible for both the monitor and phone.
Hey there... thanks for the quick demo... question, do you have to attache the follow focus to the X5 or can someone do the focus remotly ? I saw this feature with the drone version of course, but was wondering if you can do the same with the X5 pro ?
this is such a great setup I'm so jealous. do you know if the monitor works for the DJI Osmo X3 camera?
It's a pretty sweet set up, yeah it works for the X3 but you need the new arm to mount the monitor.

do you have also the normal osmo or osmo+ for a demo how good it is with not the super expensive pro version =D !!! is the cable removable from the crystal sky adapter ? couse i think for osmo and osmo+ its only non wired ?! :-/
official .kombad it works with all the osmo's. And the cable is not removable. But you don't have to plug it in to use it. In this video it's not plugged in i connected it through wifi.
Hi, I believe CS 7.85 monitor is too big for Osmo?
Yeah i would think so too.
I know if you swipe up you can output clean video, but if an audio source is connected will the HDMI embed audio to a separate recorder or live source. I've used the apple lightning to HDMI converter but it would only ouput 720 with no audio.
Please let me know if this is possible, I know its advertised as 4k output out of hdmi but does it include audio there is a mic plugged in as well?

if you hook sky monitor up to tv, is there sound coming out of the tv when an audio device is plugged into the mini jack?
I tried it with the HDMI cable and it plays the audio through the tv
I got DJI Focus. I hooked up for osmo pro. not working. Is there a setting for this? please help me urgently.
Once plugged,in scroll all the way down to set the Focus wheel function to control focus or aperture. Also make sure to update the DJI GO app to the latest version

Hi did you purchase both brackets to make the Crystalsky monitor fit onto your X5 ? because DJI didn't show the Osmo bracket Mounting Bracket (Part A) ×1

not sure what your talking about. i ordered the bracket from adorama, it came with everything you need in one piece. i put a link to it in the description.
does the box have screws and a bracket to hold the Crystalsky Monitor?

Yeah i love it and Lol no that's my mini fridge making the humming noise.
I think Gildas was referring to the cooling fan inside the X5 body ( about 1750Hz ). Mine makes the same noise.

From what i know unfortunately only the first generation of the follow focus works on the osmo x5 not the the 2 gen.
Yeah that's unfortunate i hope you can return it. it's a great camera but DJI has pretty much abandoned the osmo x5... no firmware updates since 2017 and no osmo for the x7
@@Droy3774 In fact, the second gen does work on x5, i´m using one without any problems. You need to have the latest firmware installed, and this might be a obvious one, but you have to turn it on as it has a on/off switch.
