What timing! I'm bringing in my plants from outside and my Cissus Discolor is all over the place like a wild woman. I'm gonna trellis it when I bring it in. 😆
Hey Emma 💛 you’ve become one of my fav planty UA-camrs very quickly💗 I love your videos💗 I’m in the process of making little planty iron on patches for my Etsy shop and I wanted to send you a couple💗💛 I was wondering if you have a P.O. Box I could send them to?!
Aww thank you so much 🥰 I'm so so glad you're enjoying my videos! OMG planty patches sound PERFECT!!! I'd love to see them. If you shoot me a message over on instagram, we can work something out 🪴💚
I successfully propagate mine in water. I also place mine in my east facing window, and it grows rapidly and happily there. It just needs a lot of water.
Mine stays outside for the summer here in Texas. Goes up a porch support and gets some hot sun. Mine is thirsty. It was mid 40s last night and it did fine including 2 propagations but it will come in soon.
Yikes hopefully haven’t killed mine. Transferred from nursery pot , 4 varying size stems. & added small moss pole. I lost confidence when wrapping vines on pole. Wrapped pretty tight at base thinking I was giving room to climb. Yours is so neat. Any after the fact input? Rewind 🤔? Love your videos.
Such a beautiful plant but I am having terrible luck with it. It’s under a grow light. I make sure I am watering it but the leaves keep drying out and falling off. Ugh!!
Great video! This one is on my wish list; those leaves are so stunning! 🥰 Did you find yours in a nursery or order online? I've only seen them online but I'm nervous to order since they are pretty tender.
Thanks 🥰 both times I've had this one, I've actually gotten it from another plant parent, sometimes as a swap, sometimes paid for. I was defo worried about it though as they are soooo fragile in the mail 😳
I'm considering cissus begonia for my plant wall. I am planning for a green wall of plants that want some dry cycles. Plant walls allow for conditions that are moist but never soggy. Gravity pulls all the extra water down. Do you think it will work?
Why does not my cissus discolor new leaves grow patchy? (Like it's supposed to have white patches on dark green leaves right?) I'll really appreciate your help.
New here; watched maybe 6 or 7 of your videos. Love what I've seen so far!
I just got one last week. I've done a bit of research but your videos are so so helpful! Thank you!
Great video! Covered all the areas, everything you would want to know! A lot of creators will miss an important category like soil or something.
thanks :) yeah I mean every aspect of the environment is important to keep your plants happy. Especially one as finicky as this 🙃

yes trellis that girl up!!!
Just saw one of these and thought it was super cool! Thanks for the info!!
Very good video thanks 😊 I love cissus discolor

Interesting that they are more related to grape vines, mine is out for delivery! 🚚😁

Just ordered on in a basket but like the the of it on a pole. Does it attach to it? Thanks for the info.
I feel like you might like Cissus amazonica too, because it is even more silver

yeah they can be quite thirsty depending on their environment. It also sounds like humidity may be a factor here. What's the humidity like?

I have it at 60.

Don't know where you live but I found mine at a nursery in Oregon. They do focus on more hard to find plants though.
@@kelseycain3469I'm in Oklahoma. I have a couple great houseplant shops I might ask if they will try to get some in. Thanks! I'll quit looking online.

In my experience, these don’t do well with drying out completely. But if it does what you say it does and stays moist, then you should be fine

10:49 😂I relate
This plant is hard to propagate. I have tried it in water, and all of them died. Any suggestions??
I’ve had a lot of success propping these in moss. Have you tried that?
Mine died a horrible slow death
Where did you get that pole??
i made it, it's sisal rope around a metal garden stake
My girl is dropping leaves left and right, I’m so sad about it 😩😩
mine tends to do that when it's not been watered consistently.. so maybe keep a closer eye on that
My Discolor has way more pink than this. I think this is an amazonica.
I think you might have the silver form?:)
