Cheers Matt, I can see why anyone wanting to get a faster parkrun in or with weaker ankles might be apprehensive with this being so full of 90 degree angles but it’s genuinely lots of fun, I’m sure you’ll both enjoy it when you get to it ☺️

You guys travel around so much with Parkrun tourism. Good to see you getting back to specific workouts again after the illness yak stuff. Let me know if you venture further south on your parkrun travels!
Cheers Mark, parkrun tourism is a proper highlight to us to end the week on after a week behind a desk etc. 100% will give you a shout when heading further south, hopefully in the next month or two, be great to meet you 💪😊
sister Mandy's tights on point very bright and snazzy, course seemed very curvy another one added to my list of to do park runs, running outta paper here lol so many I want to do this year

I loved that Parkrun, bit behind you Craig at 28:29 but it was warm I seem to recall. One of my first YT videos actually in Sep-23😊Did you try the cafe, that’s a lovely building, the park itself is really lovely although hilly😊

That looks quite a good route, but 4 laps is my limit. I struggled counting on a 5 lap one a few weeks ago! I didn't realise that a few Parkruns weren't on this morning due to ice until later on. It was busier than normal at Cross Flatts as a result, but I didn't know why!
Yeah we did a 5 lapper last year and my tiny mind went mad lol I didn’t realise too. Was cold but all seemed fine when I left the house and then Sister Mandy mentioned that our local one cancelled as did others. I’m not a big fan of this time of year lol I believe this was busier than usual because Oldham was off
A stretch it was 😂 and yes I encountered a dog and lead related incident at the end. The insta did an exceptional job of hiding my almost crash lol Still for me, if you’re going to this one it’s not a thrash it out kind of course so I don’t mind tripping over the occasional terrier as long as i get my barcode scanned lol
i have done this one a few times and love it today i went to the right side of pennines to centre vale yes it was on even though snow about or rather hail on some bits of the footpaths good route as well got 24 mins 37 and finished 16th out of 117
Ah I love that one. This parkrun was pretty ace, really enjoyed it. The short sharp climb felt hard with heavy legs but the steady bit around the garden to recover was nice

My brother's local. 78 m elevation gain according to his Strava, which is hilly enough! Good training run that.

Counting to 4 sounds like a bit of a stretch! Some of the paths looked a bit narrow for passing dogs on leads. Lovely looking park though.

It is a lovely little route and the hill is more like a small kicker. Didn’t add much elevation gain overall, I think you’d be good with this one ☺️
