Thanks Colin it was a great place to run and the trail sections weren't so bad I worried for my ankles lol. Think we were a bit lucky with the weather too, clouds started leaking afterwards. I don't mind hill Sprints as a rule, nice and easy run for the most part with essentially 5 mins work bit it's 5 very hard mins lol. Thank you for watching as always pal

Sister mandy was pleased with her cap (which im loving) but gutted she missed meeting you last week, think she'd have preferred that 😂

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. I truly hope you are back out running soon, I know exactly what it's like. First day of lockdown I fractured my fibula. I took to youtube and relied heavily on it during that time and when I started getting mobile again as recovery I found other youtube parkruns to walk and jog to. Helped me massively and is to sole reason I started doing these videos. Thank you for sharing and being part of the R-Whale family x

Very small world. Loved Woodbank you're lucky having this one as your local. Blackpool is just a great race. Warrington half is the next one for me 😁

Thank you. It was a lovely surprise to say the least. The parkrun was a stunner and the weather certainly helped with that albiet a bit breezy on the top open section.

Thank you for watching and glad you appreciate the overlay. I use software called Telemetry Overlay which costs about 100 quid. There's a free alternative called Garmin Virb but that's old software that's usable, but a bit more of a faff due to lack of support. Hope that helps pal 👍

Sorry thought I'd replied, losing my mind lol. Yeah it's a cracking parkrun, never too far away from the start with lots of twists. No matter how busy it gets, always seems to have plenty of room.

@@TheRunningWhale done 40 lengths in my local swimming pool today and then a 4 mile run doing Heaton park park run this Saturday got 22 mins to beat

@@TheRunningWhale Heaton park went well knocked 40 seconds off my PB getting at time of 21 minutes 20 came 41 out of 773 and i am defo ready for the half marathon next Sunday there warming up on Saturday with Watergrove park run again

Cheers pal. Yeah it was a real stroke of luck. To be fair it was a stroke of luck we actually did the parkrun, I parked in the daftest place and almost got lost following my nose running to what I thought was the start of the parkrun. One effort later up a hill and we made it but I was baked at that point 🤣

Cheers Mark. Yeah I think he deserved a good sit down after his performance racing the Mid Cheshire 5k the night before. Such a nice guy too. Yeah starting a little further back gives the illusion of speed I guess (until I encounter a hill I haveto walk up 🤣🤣)

Cheers Matt, she doesn't do bad really but she beats herself up and always checks a parkrun before going to make sure she's not gonna be last in which as we all know isn't possible. Bit of focus I'll have her five mins faster in no time. Yes the leg has been a bit of a nuisance for a few weeks now but most recent runs have proven to me that I'm targeting the right issue and more importantly, means I don't haveto stop running for a while like I did last time this thing happened. All great in camp Whale lol. Thank you, really appreciate the support from you guys 👨👩

Thank you, after a few years in what had felt like running limbo, the times are finally coming back down. I love the fast forward bits, I've found 16x speed is the sweet spot for moonwalk/skating haha cheers for watching

Oh great looks like you've picked a cracking weekend for it. Cheers, the stats are from my watch and I bring them I'm as an overlay afterwards. I've not long since updated the software so it looks a bit different on the newer ones but the workflow is pretty much the same. Yeah I've tried to get Mandy to come and go with thr ready to run group but she's just like I was initially. At least just to try. She does love parkrun (before and after 🤣) but when her times were coming down before there seemed to be more excitement from her too so I'm hoping we can get that back and make it not just about which shorts to show off lol 😉

You're not wrong, even worse in wet conditions. Coming back down can be a bit gnarly too..

Cheers Andy, yeah track work starts again tomorrow I hope if my leg behaves so a bit more speed coming soon at the end of these parkruns. Had a few weeks of less running with there being a number of consecutive races so the legs have been beaten up a bit. Would 100% recommend this one it really was ace 👍

Thanks Colin, appreciated as always 🙏 Yes it is a busy one but understandably so, quite a special one I reckon. Definately keen to go back and improve the time. I was surprised by the bumpyness. Sister Mandy enjoyed it so much so she ignored the last turn and continued a climb for a bit extending her run haha. It was a massive panic. After a few weekends of races i was looking forward to getting a parkrun uploaded again and when I thought I lost it all I was mortified. Mandy's upset she's missing from the video lol
