For beginners look out at 3:15 whre we need to add an ) to close the expression. The author of this tutorial did... Very easy thank you for the tutorial
Ian Killick You're welcome ^^ I'm currently on a mission to become a master at After Effects, it's the little things like this that help a lot :) Already knew about the wiggle, came here for the slider. At first sight it's just a small thing but I can see the potential for much greater things with it.
i need help please, while applying the slider to wiggle expression , some error happen and yellow triangle appear and when click on it ,, it shows an error massage
This has been great to show how to control one of the parameters in wiggle (either frequency of shake or distance) but what if you want to control both? I followed this tutorial to control distance, which worked out great, so I figured I must have to create a different null layer to control the frequency parameter. So I did that, added a slider control to the new null layer, selected the frequency parameter in the wiggle on the first layer and pick whip it to the second null layer. The problem is, when I start adding values to the slider control on the null controlling the frequency parameter, I get a warning saying the project contains an expression error. This leads me to believe I can't use two slider controls for the same expression. Is there a way to control both the frequency AND distance parameters in the wiggle from a single slider control, or is there another way to do it? I hope that makes sense.
Why is this ruining my position value? I select the correct value, and after whipping, the position jumps to 0,0 - deleting the object's current position. Pretty annoying, don't know why...

Excellent. Good luck with your training. Try Andrew Devis from Creative Cow, he's very good with his tutorials.
