Quick suggestion, I would use tin snips to cut the plastic card as if you can use scissors you can use snips, & there is less risk of injury from knife slips.
Nice one Alex. For the bamboo clumps what do you see as the advantage of using a plasticard base and then the foam core? Why not just go with foam core?
@@theDexMcHenry cheers. The plasticard just adds the non warping strength. I've had foamcore warp before, but it's worth trying. Also, the plasticard isn't pierced by the metal of the bamboo either...
Hi Alex. The trees. What size were they. From Ebay I guess. Did you to anything to the. I've done my bamboo. No problem I used a mix of cd discs and irregular warbases. Just need the plantation cheers
I do like the Japanese bunkers and the rice growing...Effective and clever ideas!
Cheers Phil!
Really good clear instructional video. I'll be finally adding some paddy fields for my First Indo-China War collection following this. Cheers Alex.
Cheers Andy!
Awesome video. Great to have four bits of scatter in one video 👍🏻

Cheers buddy!
Thanks for this Alex.... Great stuff
My pleasure!
Love the idea for my Battletech miniatures. Thank you.
My pleasure!
Superb and some good ideas. Have some terrain to make for my Vietnam 28mm project and some of these will be useful to have a crack at
Good luck!
Very nice! Now i know your bamboo secrete!
That's right!
For cheap bulk trees I recommend a quick dip in thinned PVA to reduce shedding over time
Yeah, I said I'd sprayed them in thinned down PVA from Geek Gaming Scenics.
@@StormofSteelWargaming ah, must’ve missed that. Great video 👍
Great video Alex! You do make it look easy but that’s very much needed when it comes to jungle terrain! Keep up the great work!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent! I've been using mdf for tree bases and plasticard seems a much better option!
Cheers, mdf will work just as well, but plasticard will not warp, that's for sure.
thanks, really useful stuff, much appreciated.
Glad it was helpful!

There is a need for me to do more than the tinny bit I did for Ghost Archipelago back in the day
Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
Most extremely awesome
Cheers!
Really good tutorial. Did you wash/clean with detergent the plastic bits of the rubber tree trunks and the full bamboo pieces before you painted them?
Cheers Jim. No, I didn't, and didn't notice any issues, but you could if you think the paint will stick better.
@@StormofSteelWargaming Thanks, Alex. Truthfully, I'm all for reducing the number of required steps. So, no prep; just paint!
