If russia has lost 50% of the land they held in Ukraine 2 years ago, I don't see China helping them much. I think it's a lost cause for putin at this point, though the media isn't saying it.
Most of the coverage in the west is exceptionally biased in favour of Ukraine. If the true nature of Ukraine's situation were known by everyone there would be an awful lot more aid going to them.

They are talking about cooperation, and building closer ties together, not war and conflict.

Western government actions drive sanctioned countries into a coalition. The biggest threat to European countries is the historical prejudices that evolved from centuries of economic and military conflicts. Europe seems to think their problems are everybody else's problem, but other countries problems are no concern of Europe. When has Europe financially or economically helped the U.S. ? In fact, after WW 1, England expected the U.S. to be a major threat and developed war plans to counteract anticipated U.S. actions. I think the U.S. should shift its focus to countries in its own hemisphere. And now England is shipping
migrants to Rwanda. That may benefit England, but it will cause problems. Rwana has already said it does not have the resources to support this forced immigration.
Ukraines supposed Crimea is no different to chinas Taiwan.
