Manav Lund 👌
This is so useful for practicing along with the recording! I missed the comment and did that myself but now I know to look for comments whenever I want to practice a recorded piece. Thanks
I did a different version of reys them, it was awsone because it was only horns and euphoniums , was beautiful
Manav Lund so many in the wrong keys
omg thanks lol
That horn part is just different gravy 😮💨
My school is playing this for senior graduation. As a clarinet, this song is so much fun to play! I had to go find it online afterwards!
im a clarinet in middle school and looking at this scares me
@@syfer. it’s a tough one! But keep at it! I thought it was worth it! Good luck 😌
@@syfer. just letting you know I’m a percussionist and I’m playing this and I am just dieing inside
@@miacuevas9409 damn thats sad, i love the oboe part its so fun but i also like to flute and pic part
March of the Resistance and Rey's Theme are probably my 2 favorites!
bad opinion
@@elegostar6523 ?
The flute part in this is so creative and I love it, i am constantly playing it along with the oboe part and sometimes the piccolo part but sometimes that get boring. Great piece of music!
Someone should make a Star Wars Saga medley including
Main Theme
Imperial March
Clone Army Theme
Seperatist March
Rey’s Theme
Anakin’s Theme
Asteroid Field
Han Solo And The Princess
Here They Come
March Of The Resistance
Throne Room/End Title
Forgot *Jedi Steps*
will do
Also Anakin’s Betrayal
I’m playing trombone 1 for this and it’s tons of fun, but the ending...
l play the trumpet
I play alto saxophone
I play tuba
Bassoonist

A nice arrangement. My only complaint is leaving out (arguably) some of the best music from the saga (Duel of the Fates, Across the Stars, Battle of the Heroes, Light of the Force to name a few). Hard to call it Star Wars Saga when you don't have something from every film.
💯 % agreed their are critical peaces of music from the saga that are missing, consequently making it a non-complete saga of music
There's other arrangements of star wars we agree on that right
Yeah. The prequels have the best music but this piece leaves it all out.
It's a shame that the Cantina Band isn't here! I love that song!
I’m happy the Stephen bulla likes bassoons and euphoniums
Anyone else looking at this piece because your school is playing it? Just me? Ok.
I wish my school band would have us play this
Our youth-region band:)
Yup.
Yup
Working on this for my community band right now. Extremely well done arrangement.
this is missing duel of the fates
And battle of the heroes, across the stars and anakin theme
Disney doesn't like the prequels
I have the actual piece... and I'm pretty sure it has Duel of Fates, along with Cantina Band, Across the Stars too. (I'll have to check for what else
@@jazjo33_43 No, this version doesn't. You can see very clearly at the top of the score's first page which pieces are in this specific arrangement, and none of those are.
Lmao you actually think Disney would ask Hal Leonard to include prequel music? That's hilarious
right key = imperal march, jedi steps, reys theme,
wrong key = opening theme, leia theme, kylo theme (so close though), march of the resistance, throne room
still sounds great though
David Scalia It's in a different key to make the piece a bit easier
yeah you are right. just pointing it out
David Scalia Oh ok
Fling Starss Explain
Fling Starss Ah ok I got you.
Woooow! What happened to the intro of the March of the Resistance?! Where the grand entrance?!?
I played this for my 7 th grade end of year concert! I love it!
OMG SAME IT WAS AMAZING!! I ALSO GOT THE EUPHONIUM SOLO WHICH WAS EPIC!!! 😁😁😁😃😃😃😆😆😆😄😄😄😀😀😀🤩🤩🤩🥳🥳🥳☺️☺️☺️😊😊😊😊😇😇😇😇🙂🙂
I have to play it for my spring recruitment concert and I’m in seventh grade, hopefully it goes good
I wish composers would make all these arrangements for all levels becuase as a percussionist I am the only person in my band capable of playing the snare and mallet parts.
C'mon how can you not have the best part of the throne room
Where's cantina band song?
@@adamb4610 It's mainly high hat from percussion 2, at least that's what's in my music, cuz I'm p2, and the snare drum from percussion 1 that keeps the beat there
I can't remember what section has the melody, saying that my band hasn't really played there sense we site readed the music
@@adamb4610 for us, it's the Clarinets, Flutes, and I think Trumpets (same band as Dakota)
Alto sax have it
Tracey Estep and it’s not fun
just got the music for this I'm excited
OMG WE NEED TO PLAY THIS
Wow this music is very nice!!!!!!
Kylo Ren's theme 😍
My band played the michael story's star wars saga and im starting to wish we played this
"His future is so blurry."
Awesome!
Excellent piece! Playing it for grade 9 this year

That was more of a euphonium than a baritone.
I play the contra bass clarinet for this kind of stuff
Do you get tuba parts since there aren’t any parts for contra on this peice?
@@chrispelayo6365 i don't know for them but for us we just double up on the bass clarinet part
Chris Pelayo contra clarinets read Bb treble clef
Contrabass? Nice!
I’m going to play this for elementary kids and kindergartens. And Harry Potter
Not just that but I have to learn three other songs for the final test coming up in March ;-;
Wish the ending of this had started with the beginning of the Throne Room theme instead of the smooth section. Would have been a great segway going from the Resistance's march into the Rebellion's march
Alto clarinet and oboe solo? Wonderful!
Brian Maul and horn
Maybe it's because I've never really heard an alto clarinet before, but I don't hear it in the solo (or soli I guess). It should sound like a low-but-not-bass-clarinet-low sound, right?
@@adamcollester2655 the alto clarinet can play in all 4 voices. Arrangers use it for bass clarinet and tenor sax/bassoon/baritone sax/baritone horn. Theoretically it should be with horn 2 and alto sax and oboe not with tenor sax since they sound nothing alike.
I cannot think of 2 better instruments to put together. Its good to know at least one composer sees the value in the alto clarinet
im getting literally a lot of the french horn parts because i asked my music teacher if she can put french horn notes in there for me to play for the combined concert and i play the trombone too
There are other arrangements I prefer but this one is good
Das Spiel ich auch im Orchester
To all the people commenting on the flaws of this video
Why not point out the pluses instead of criticizing he piece
It's still really good not matter what

This does the gusto of the main theme no justice
Super 😍
whats the name of the piece at 2:33
What is 2:37 called? It's from ep. 7 right?
the jedi steps and finale
It's Rey's theme
No it isn't. Rey's theme is at 3:35
I play trumpet 1 for 8th grade band
Where’s cantina band
Why is the main theme in the wrong key
Great but i feel like there is a little too much emphasis on the baritone
I know its a great yet very overshadowed instrument but not a lot of people play it and i doubt it would be that loud in an actual concert setting
I disagree. It may vary from country to country, but here in Norway every concert band has a Euphonium. If it can't be heard in a concert setting, the band is playing too loud, simple as that. The Euphonium has the range and warm tone equivelant to a cello in an orchestra. In my opinion the melodic parts suits the Euphonium well. I play Euphonium myself, so bias warning hehe.
@@stox2418 yeah, the euphonium can project quite well if the band is playing at a reasonable volume. On top of that, lots of people play it, it just isn’t as mainstream as other instruments, kind of like the bassoon or the french horn.

If I had to be honest, this arrangement sounds amazing. But from the composition point of view, there are many mistakes. The main theme is in b flat, yet this arrangement is in f. It doesn't bring the correct emotion and power the original brought when played. The imperial march in in correct key, but wrong rhythmic pattern. It is all in sixteenth note triplets, not sixteenth notes. It's affects the march feel. The original brought the triplet march feel, while this brings an eighth note feel. There are more, but they don't affect the original version's vision. Again, this piece is absolutely amazing, there are just things that could have been made better.
Just remember this is concert band, not an orchestra or symphony
The idea of the arrangement is to be more simplified. The original arrangement is by Johan de Meij. That yes has the original rhythms written in the score.
@@rodrigodelrio1378 More like, remember it's Grade 4, not Grade 5-6. Expecting rapid triple tonguing at the Grade 4 level might be a bit much for some players, but concert bands shouldn't be looked down upon or thought of as less professional than symphony orchestras merely because fewer professional bands exist. Try telling the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra they're not professional.
Disintegration is a dark side power because Emperor Palatine turned his entire army to "mist".
I love the saga oh sorry I meant the ogs and sequels not those prequels with scores that were almost 100 times better than the sequels themes
If there was 1 thing that was consistently good throughout the entire trilogy its Williams. The sequels were a little underwhelming, because lets be for real here no one knew what they were supposed to do until a month before the release date and John Williams (and literally everyone else in the preproduction, production and postproduction) were given like 2 days to do their job that they were supposed to do in 6 months), but John Williams sequel sountrack is probably the best thing about it in my opinion
Trumpet part is too low.
Max Jonak ikr. But maybe, the arranger did it on purpose? 🤔🤔😂😂💀
@@eddiecamacho3014 no... I have the piece and the trumpets aren't this low
The March sounds so weird.
May I just say this song is inaccurately titled because if they want to call it the star wars saga they need to include songs from every part of the series. that includes the prequels. yes most people don't like them but that doesn't mean it's not a part of the star wars saga. And let's be honest the prequels has some of the best star wars music ever! Just listen to duel of the fates or battle of heros and many others. these songs should not be left out of a piece that is highlighting star wars but is forgetting a key factor in the entire series. Just a note to all the composers out there. I just needed to go on this rant because a part of the star wars cannon is being left out when it shouldn't. even if you don't like it. other than that great song!
Elvis Anderson your right
If you want to think about it, the main theme is technically from the prequals...
You have a good point tho
I actually agree. As much as the prequels suck, John Williams is still a genius. Plenty of prequel music is fantastic!
Fun Fact, The Throne Room appears in the credits of Revenge of the sith. for the majority of the credits too.
I totally agree with you. In my opinion, the Prequel trilogy came out with the best music. I wonder why they haven't uploaded any. I'd really want to hear Across the Stars or Battle of the Heroes.
0:47-1:28
the best part
This is missing battle of the heroes
The 53 people are obviously stormtroopers because they have missed the like button.
played this in 8th grade. really hard but fun.
need throne room
Star Wars in another key sounds so wrong.
Yes, it's definitely the whole saga, especially since you left out a third of the films, which have, in my opinion, the best music. Don't worry though, Disney probably paid you to do this.
The rest is great though
Chi ha messo non mi piace deve andare a scaricare la frutta al mercato....
Ok, I dont know why they never do the Empire march from Attack of the clones instead when it comes to make it easy. This version thats from the Empire Strikes Back sounds so really strange wihtout the triplets. If they used the one from Attack of the clones, they would be a much easier version to play, and it would sound better. One of the best renditions of that theme in Star Wars in my point of view.
The 2.2k people who liked this are with the resistance and the 54 dislikes are with the empire
It's great but it's not the entire saga

Thank you stephen bulla. Now we know that an arranger is a dj of film music. This is the worst arrange i have listen since all of my life. What about episodes i ii and iii.
And please listen to the original song and then try to arrange it. I think in orchestra and band there's flutes and oboes and in Rey's theme an oboe is not a flute. Please listen to the original song. My god.
