We have not been taught the value of marriage. Other races and cultures understand it and value it, to their benefit. They can generate generational wealth and stability. We as a culture are not taught that. Also there is a lot of pain and trauma that needs to be healed in order for us to be good partners.
"men dont want the responsibility of a relationship", YEA NO BS, Considering the no fault divorce laws and how women can leave a marriage at any time and take the wealth completely.

As Gen X who has been happily married for 31v years to the love of my life...millennials, gen z... don't get married. Especially if it doesn't make logical sense.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. However, if you have been happily married, what makes you suggest that they don’t marry?

@lifecoachingbymel mostly because most will not be happily married and most won't find the right person. It's just not worth the risk to me. I realize my story is rare. I married for love, but it also made logical sense as the union benefited us both. If there's no real benefit besides emotions, it's not a good idea, imho.

Thanks for answering. Are you an advocate for out of wedlock children?
@lifecoachingbymel depends on the situation and the individuals involved. Logic plays a big role in these life altering situations.
Agreed… Which situation is more ideal in your opinion?
