Scars mean you're winning the battle, no? What a great video! All your finishes and the Halloween display -- you could charge admission. Ha. Thanks again for sharing all this fun stuff.
I live in an agricultural area on the east coast and the way I tell a purple Martin from other starlings and blackbirds at a quick glance is the fact that they NEVER land! They seem so busy all the time. And it's normally 3-4 flying together at all times. I don't think I have seen a grackle! So in love with bird talk 🥰
CHRISTINE ❤️ thank you for the shout out - I LOVE how your Halloween tree turned out and all your decorations! The bucilla ornaments are just the cutest!
You look beautiful, I had a difficult time seeing your scar, so glad you caught those areas and are taking care of them. Your mill hills are the cutest ever. Love watching your videos. You are so creative, the needle minders are adorable, great idea
Hi Christine. Thank you so much for another great video. I always enjoy them. They feel like I'm catching up with a friend. 💞 I am also happy that you are healing well. I will continue to send you positive and happy thoughts. You made such wonderful progress last month on those Mill Hills. I enjoyed seeing all your kits. I think you should hold a sal called #ayearofmillhillfinishes where you complete all your beautiful MH kits because your MH collection is gorgeous. I can't wait to see them all stitch up and showcased. Thank you for the Halloween tour. You did such a great job. Lastly, thanks for the birds segment. I always learn something. Your garden is such a bird magnet. U till next time my stitchy and creative friend. 💞
What gorgeous Halloween decorations. So glad to hear your healing is going fantastic and good luck for round 2. Hope you win this time! I love all your smalls on the tree like that, and can't wait to see them on the three tier too! I'm so glad you enjoyed your autumn stitching and that your trees are such a vibrant colour. Kat x
Oooh. Taboo Kitty and Moonstruck Manor go so pretty with Spooky Gate. You have totally inspired me to delve into the smalls and start making one a year for each of my kids for Christmas. I really want them to each have something Ive made for them as a tradition. I knit and crochet so they've got hats, blankets, mittens, but this would be so awesome.
That was a lovely video. Thank you. I feel so much more relaxed and all the better for watching your vlog. It's always interesting to hear the goals and see you work towards them. Absolutely loved seeing your backyard in what for you is fall. The trees are gorgeous! I'm in Spring, yet it's still very much like winter. I loved the bird cards at the end too! So fun😄 As for the projects, well, I'm always so intrigued about people who celebrate Halloween too. I didn't grow up with it, and usually seeing RIP brings about a feeling of deep reverence and honor, and I found it difficult to make light or fun of it, yet I'm also happy that people can see that side of it. Also seeing spiders makes my skin crawl, so I was just blown away when you weren't even remotely bothered by them at all. It's all so strange how people love that eerie, deathly feeling too. Anyway, it's great to see that people are so diverse and can enjoy and have fun with the thought of the deceased (and dying/being dead? I'm not sure how it works). All in all, a wonderfully fascinating watch! Thanks again!
Thank you for stopping by to say HI! Enjoy your upcoming Spring! I completely know where your coming from with Halloween and know MANY people that just don't like anything about it, let alone celebrate it. I think it's hard when you don't grow up with the spooky and often very morbid aspect of Halloween, All Souls Day, All Saints Day, Day Of The Dead, etc. I see it as a way of honoring the dead and accepting that we all end up there in the end. It's hard to explain, but ever since I was a young child, I absolutely loved everything that lead up to the holiday and just the 'FEEL' of it in the air. The excitement of my mom making our costumes, the window decorations, visiting the pumpkin patch for the perfect pumpkin, the warm glow of jack-o-lantern, haunted houses, the costume party/ parade at school, and of course the Trick-orTreating for Candy! All of it interspersed with the cool crisp air, changing of the leaves, caramel apples, the first snowfall, and a warm bowl of soup! Now as an adult, I enjoy the whole nostalgia of it all and the warm memories of days gone by! As for spiders....you're right, they don't phase me at all! I think they're kinda cute ( unless I look at them too close, lol!)
I really enjoyed seeing all of your Mill Hill kits. I loved seeing the ones you finished. Your Halloween tree with your felt ornaments was really cute. Thanks for the frame tip from the Dollar Tree. I also love the bird cards you show. Purple Martins nest together in communities and they love to chatter to each other. To me they look more blue than a blackbird and they eat LOTS of mosquitoes! You never see them on the ground or in bird feeders. My grandpa always had purple martins in his apartment style birdhouse when I was growing up. I think your scar looks good and I wish you well when you have your other surgery. Happy November!
Was able to watch earlier than planned, and what a treat, those mill hill finishes are awesome, as is your display. I’m glad you did the bird bit, we were just saying recently that there’s a steep decline in starlings here, which is a shame, they are funny birds and mimic other bird song, but like you say, bullies! Your wound healed nicely, I never noticed it either til you pointed it out, another yr or so and it will be barely visible I’m sure. Thanks for sharing, now I have to wait another month for another 😩
I always look forward to your videos. Fun finishes and progress. Your scars will heal with care and hat wearing. Spouse had the mohs at his temple and I treated it as directed. You would have to look hard to find the spot. Make sure you protect from the sun. Gobble, gobble.
Wow you finished so many Halloween and Autumn ornaments. Great job! Your Halloween tree and mantel displays are amazing! Enjoyed the bird lesson. We dont have many blackbirds visit our feeders.
Just started watching your channel and was so inspired by all your Mill Hill projects. Your Halloween display is amazing. Thank you for sharing! Also, the bird segment at the end is fun. I am a novice bird watcher in the PNW and I saw a huge flock/swarm of starlings or grackles yesterday having a feast on the neighbor’s newly seeded lawn.
Great video! Love your Autumn/Halloween finishes and decorating! Always wonderful to see your videos pop up. Btw, until you pointed it out, I honestly couldn't see where the scar is. It's healing well! 🤗
Looks like your scar is in a great spot. It should basically disappear. My Ex had a Zplasty scar in his Laughlin that faded enough that it really wasn't noticeable. Yours will too. Glad yours was caught when it was.
You look great you're beautiful and I'm sure like you said within a year it'll be gone love the videos keep stitching you motivate me to do mine thank you
ohhhh you have such fun kits. They are not cheap up here usually around 25.00 I purchased the bluebird and aurora can't wait to stitch on them. Happy stitching Patty
Love all your mill hill kits! I have two kits from them but haven’t started them yet, hoping to start them this month. Just subscribed to your friends channel, us peeps in the under 1k club gotta stick together 😂😂😂 I loved your little Halloween tree that was just too cute!
Awesome that it’s healing great! I think you have introduced me to a new addiction, mill hill kits! I’m having so much fun! Would love to know the name of the Facebook group :) love your finishes!
Hello, I'm trying to find an old Mill Hill cross stitch book that was about 15 years old. It had the treasures, buttons, beads, and various types of floss. It was a banner. The top was a witch, and it I think had green face, with purple shiny hairy type thread, and sampler style. Had candy corns, bats, ghosts (buttons and pattern) and was about 2 feet long, and maybe 10 inches wide. I have looked all over the internet and cannot find the book or pattern. Please help?? I don't think it was a kit, but it has been long enough, maybe I've forgotten...Thank you, Michelle
Hi Christine, I loved this video!! I was wondering if you wanted to sell one of your charm bracelets? (Or better yet, I’d buy needle minders you made from it) as that’s what I’d love to have! I was watching the video and thought the whole way through how much I loved those and wanted to know if there was a link for them and then you mentioned how you made them and had a couple of extra bracelets. Please let me know! Thank you!!
Christine, I think you are the best person to ask as you do so much perforated paper work. I was nearing the end of the cross stitch part of a Buttons and Beads kit (Christmas present) when I accidentally pulled too hard fighting with a knot in my thread. Rip! I think two squares were affected. HELP!!! I can’t find any help with a Google search. Do I need to abandon or is there a way to repair?
Oh no! I'm sorry I'm so late getting back to you on this! If it were me, I would remove any stitches around the hole so that you have at least one row of in tact holes all the way around. Then I would cut a small piece of perforated paper big enough to not only cover the hole, but some surrounding stitches. Next, I would go ahead and re-stitch the stitches around the hole to anchor the new piece of paper. Now you should be able to stitch over the hole using the back piece of paper. I hope that makes sense. Let me know how it turns out!

Also, I'm a nurse and your scar is healing beautifully.

So many adorable little ornaments! I had a basal cell carcinoma removed and it left a bald spot on top of my head. I feel your pain!
You have inspired me to pull out some of my mill hill kits to get them stitched up! I really enjoy all your videos! I can't wait for the next one!

Where did you get your Halloween tree?
Target! 😊 I bought it in 2019 I think. I talk more about it somewhere during my "floss O Ween" playlist if you're interested!
Enjoyed watching. Is perforated paper, the same as plastic canvas or is it something entirely different?
It's different. It's very thin and flexible, kind of like paper with a very slight plasticy coating is the best way to describe it
@@calico_whimsy thank you for explaining. I’ll have to try it some time.
@@owlbestitching8839 I highly recommend the mill hill kits! They have some cute owl kits!
