Congrats on the seagull finish! I do love your chatty monthly vlog. The lighthouse is looking fabulous. The hummingbird is so vibrant. When I was a teenager, I would climb up into my grandmother's mimosa trees to read a book, but would get happily distracted by all the hummingbirds flitting around me sipping at the flowers. 😊

I can’t believe your progress on the light house, did you sleep at all or sit down and eat? 😂 thank you so much for finding the time to make your videos, happy belated birthday, you angel is beautiful, I have one of those figurines portraying a girl with outstretched arms with a pigeon on each arm, I used to feed them until neighbours complained 😢 I shall check out your shout outs, I already follow Laura,she is a delight too. I love the Laurel Burch patterns! I stitched the seahorses last year. It was so colorful! I love the hummingbird. The colors are so vibrant. I also love that you got a video and photos of your little Spring visitor in your backyard. So sweet!

It's crazy how different linen is from perforated paper. Couldn't be more opposite. I'm really loving the linen now that I'm warmed up, lol!

It is a dream of mine to have a peacock cross stitch wall. So far I have finished 1 project and that needs framing. But it's a start. What a beautiful bold bird in the video at the end. You are so lucky to be visited by it as it passes

We have a lot of hummingbirds in the summer at our feeder. I’m amazed at how far the lighthouse is going. I haven’t used linen on a mill hill kit. I love the color on the peacock mill hill.

Happy belated birthday, Christine! I got into stitching Mill Hills after watching your videos. I haven't stitched any of the Laurel Burch kits so far, although I have my eyes on her 2021 Seahorses kit. Hummingbird and Peacock are also super nice!

I am intrigued by those new hoops you are using. I am a stitch in hand stitcher since 1988 lol. However I am about to finish my first Mirabilia and I think beading in a frame or large hoop will be helpful. I do have a stand to hold the frame. I adore birds. Peacock and hummingbirds are so colorful and beautiful! Thank you for your videos

Love your videos so much. So inspiring !
Dimensions tends to leave you a two inch border all around the fabric. Something you can do is subtract the design size from the size of the fabric to see how much border you have and then stitch down and over from a corner that amount. I always double and triple check to make sure that it’s actually 2 inches down and 2 inches over before starting. In each case that I have done a dimensions it has been 2 inches. I wish they would give you three inches. Of course you could always use another piece of fabric. 😂
Ah yes, you're right! That is a good (easier) way to start in the corner besides counting. 3 inches would be nice!!!
Great bday starts, love the hummingbird or the peacock. I used a nurge hoop on my last finish and it didn't crimp or distort the stitches. I love the nurge.
