Nintendo badge arcade it allows you to decorate your nintendo 3DS even though you won't be able to purchase badges anymore ya can still get free plays each day.
Though they privated Nintendo Minute on UA-cam, you can still watch the original episodes officially somewhere else! Take a guess where… It’s the eShop! I wonder if anything will happen to them once the ability to buy eShop games is removed.
When people talk about Ace Attorney on 3DS, they always mention Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice, but it’s worth mentioning that there was also a 3DS remake of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney with a similar art style to Ace Attorney Trilogy. I’m sure it’ll eventually be ported alongside the other 3DS Ace Attorney games, but right now, it’s exclusive to 3DS and mobile and I highly recommend picking it up! Also, if you’re looking for something really obscure, I’d recommend Phasmophobia: Hall of Specters 3D. It’s a really short game that’s only one level and a hard mode of that one level, but it’s cheap and extremely fun. It’s a combination of the gameplay of Slender and Pac-Man, and the two combine surprisingly well. You’re running around a Pac-Man style maze looking for 12 pages while being pursued by four ghosts, and each time you get a page, the ghosts get faster. The top screen is a first person view as you go through the maze looking for pages, while the bottom screen is an overhead map of the maze that tells you where the ghosts are, but not where the pages are. Eventually, the ghosts will be faster than you, and you need to be smart to avoid them (for example, if you go out the side of the maze and come out the other side, like in Pac-Man, you can temporarily lose them). As I said, it’s only one level and a hard mode, but the pages’ locations are randomized, so it is very replayable, and it’s one of the most fun arcade-style games I’ve ever played.
WHATT That's so cool, with the remake, I didn't know about that! ^^ The game you recommended sounds really hecking interesting, too, I'll have to check if I have any funds left on my account for it, maybe! Thanks for the recommendations! ^^
@@elfilinamie1326 Of course! Capcom is currently having a blowout sale on 3DS and Wii U games to celebrate the end of the eShop, so the Apollo Justice remake is currently on sale for $3. Phasmophobia is not on sale, but it’s also $3. Like I said, when they remade the Ace Attorney Trilogy, they also remade Apollo Justice, but sold it separately from the trilogy. I imagine it’ll be ported eventually like the Trilogy was, but right now, it’s still exclusive.
Love to see Dillon being represented in this video ♡ Really sad all of his games will be gone after the eshop closes since the 3rd game was only released physically in UK & JPN. Would love to see a Trilogy Port or a new game in the future!
Yes! I would LOVE to see an HD port for the Dillon games, as well as a Pushmo Collection, on the Switch or possibly on whatever Nintendo’s next hardware will be!
I'm surprised no lists I have seen have included Ketzal's Corridors. It was simple yet addicting, great for short play sessions, and utilized the 3D well. It was a perfect fit for the 3DS.
On DSiWare titles, Mario vs Donkey Kong; Minis March Again is legit one of the best in the series. If you pick that and Minis on the Move up, you'll be sorted as far as that series on 3DS. Edit: Do Mini-Land Mayhem for DS if you can. That may actually be #1.
Don't forget the Professor Layton games. I was able to get physical copies at a good price, but for those who didn't yet, you should get them for the eshop. As for the Streetpass games, I recommend all of them except for 2: Warriors Way because it's just entirely luck based instead of a strategy game and no matter how many play coins you spend to hire mercenaries, it's never going to be enough. Your army is weaker than the opponent's army most of the time. Mii Trek because I heard that you can progress only if the people you encountered via streetpass have a huge number of steps registered on their consoles. Plus, if the paths you choose leads to dead ends, you will waste some steps.
Good list! Love you guys shouting out the DSiWare titles. Speaking of DSiWare, I'd like to bring attention to the game X-Scape. It's a sequel to a game on the Game Boy that directly influenced the Star Fox series. It's got really cool atmosphere and fun tank-based gameplay. Highly recommend!
I feel more needs to be done to keep these games available for generations to come! I recently contacted Retro Bit asking them to give Dark Void Zero a physical Nintendo DS release! (Nintendo DS game cards can’t be THAT hard to make! Weren’t bootleg games rampant for that system?) If any of you have either an iPhone or iPad, a new version of Pocket Card Jockey can be enjoyed as part of your Apple Arcade subscription and some of the games on 3DS Virtual Console, including Renegade and City Connection, got physical releases on Evercade!
For street pass games MAKES SURE TO GET THE BUNDLE DEALS!!! I selected the first empty plot going clockwise and denied an explanation from the rabbit to get it.
Videos like this remind me to get on the 3DS and buy the games on my wish list. Nice to see Box Boy getting some love here, Harmo Knight is another good shout for anyone curious
Just fyi, the orca case for Ace Attorney Dual Destinies is DLC which costs $6. Spirit of Justice also has a full DLC case for $6. You have to purchase both through the in-game DLC menu.
I will miss the shop of the last truly pocket friendly console from Nintendo. My 3DS feel so much more personal and mine then my Switch, due to themes and badges. That is the boring part of NSW, just no real themes... And of course, all the great non bought digital only games that now disappears forever. 😪
Got it on my 3DS once I heard about the eshop closing, really glad all 3 of the modern trilogy are on there. Really hope they release 4-6 for modern systems at some point in the future
On the Nintendo eShop I would buy Super Mario Land and 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on the Nintendo 3DS because those were the first Mario and Sonic games I ever play Back in the 90s and that's why I'm still a very big Mario and Sonic fan and I always will be forever and ever. ❤😁💙
A lot of the Capcom (or I think all) are on a fire sale, and you can get many of their games for around $2.99 USD. It's quite awesome and worth checking out. I think I've gotten everything I want on the 3DS eShop. I went and "bought" the rest of some Free to Start games like Pokemon Picross that I had played just to make sure it was all "unlocked" and didn't have anything left remaining. I think Wii U side I'm gonna check out today and see what's left that I don't have, but I pretty much bought everything Wii U title wise outside VC games that I may go grab to just have. StreetPass games were a ton of fun, and I bought them because I worked at Disneyland for years when the 3DS was out and hot still. I completed my map of the US and I completed about every game in the first wave of DLC too. I loved the StreetPass feature so much.
Happy to see BoxBoy, Tokyo Crash Mobs, Ace Attorney, Trajectile, and the Art Style series get shoutouts. (DON'T SLEEP on Art Style Boxlife people!!) Maybe I'm the only one who thought the original Steel Diver was decent/pretty fun haha. Not a game I'd tell anyone to rush to go buy though I suppose.
While it's not the premiere eShop exclusive or anything, Kersploosh is fun to toss on every now and again. Bit of a good companion piece w/ the likes of Downwell.
I love Ace Attorney but I would've recommended the original Trilogy + Apollo Justice over the sequels lol, either way, all 6 mainline Ace Attorney games are on the 3DS! Great series. Check em out ^^ (And on the same vein, Professor Layton prequels are on 3DS too :) )
I recommend people buy Automaton Lung. It was released last year so it’s one of the last 3DS games ever. At first glance, it looks like shovelware but it’s honestly a small hidden gem. It’s an open world, 3D platformer with a creepy and isolated environment and Y2K aesthetic. The graphics are reminiscent of PS1 or N64 games and I think that it adds a certain charm to the game. The developer of the game said in an interview that he was inspired by the empty streets during the early days of the pandemic lockdowns all over the world. In the game, you’re pretty much left alone to explore an alien planet. The game runs great at 60 fps and has an astounding soundtrack as well.
Why can’t everyone complain to Nintendo not to shut the Wii U and 3DS store to save them from closing you saw what happened when so many complaints went to PlayStation about closing the PS3 PS Vita store they kept them opened cause enough complaints
I was literally thinking “I would love a puzzle platformer to download” Box boy got my back I have a 50$ eshop card I’m so indecisive on what to get lol
Highly recommend the Art Academy series! I could not draw to save my life, but I tried them years ago out of curiosity. I can honestly say they work! The soundtracks are great as well. Really sad that we can't get one on Switch since they need 2 screens to work. 😅 Thanks for all of the recommendations, Kit & Krysta! I finally bought Attack of the Friday Monsters, and I absolutely love it. Might have to get Kersploosh! also. 😂
Omgosh I almost forgot about the Mii Plaza DLC. I got all the games I wanted from it tho so I'm good. I would like more Mii specific games where Miis are the main characters. Also, Krysta....Orcas aren't whales 🐳, they're dolphins 🐬
It's very sad, too bad the old DSI/3DS/Wii/Wii U games can't stay up forever like Steam games on PC. Especially since a lot of them the Switch doesn't have solutions for like Virtual Console
I've actually downloaded most of these over the years, so it makes me feel content that I've saved a lot of worthwhile games while I could. The last one I downloaded, just last week, was Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Thus far, it hasn't displaced Mario & Luigi: Dream Team as my favourite, but as a fan of both Paper Mario, and the Mario & Luigi series, I just had to have it, and not risk being unable to find a physical copy. *Sigh.* Farewell, eShop. I thought it was hard to say good-bye to Miiverse, but this... well. At least I got to collect some good games while the opportunity was there. And I'll be happy in that.
I still play Gotta Protectors with my bro. It is download-play co-op, but the full game allows you to select from more than 2(?) characters and make your own stages. The block-costly DLC allows you to change the soundtrack arrangement and gives you more amusing stage-end images.
Recently signed back in to buy all the FE awakening and fates DLCs, as well as revelations. Now I see I have to go back and get some more games before time runs out!
Glad to see some Dillon representation! Another good list, but I’d say it’s far from complete. I have a more in-depth list in a video I made (like the Yokai Watch games that are hundreds of dollars for physical copies), but overall, there are just soo many good 3DS and DS games! It’s sad they are not going to be easily accessible anymore.
I was able to make one final purchase of "Pokemon Dream Radar" on a 2nd Nintendo account today on March 27th 2023 and when I tried to get Super Metroid on my main account, the Nintendo 3DS store keeps on redirecting me to a support page detailing the closure of the Eshop. Looks like it's really coming to an end and all I can do is download free stuff before it does close for good at 5:00 PM Pacific time. RIP 3DS Eshop.
I Love Star fox 64 3d,Kirby triple Deluxe, Kirby Planet robobot, pokemon x, pokemon ultra moon, Pokemon sun, Super Mario 3d Land, Rayman Origins,Rayman 3d, Pokemon Alpha Saphir...
Another game worth mentioning on DSiWare is Dark Void Zero--it was the NES style retro game made based on Dark Void, a game Capcom released on the PS3 and 360 that never really took off. Funnily enough, the DSiWare spin-off was better regarded. It used to be on Steam but has since been delisted from there as well which means once the eShop closes the game will be gone for good.

Omg! I literally loved the last video so much! Thanks for making a new video about :) BTW i bought stretchmo Aoso: If ur reading this u should buy photo dojo and the gun man clive series just trust me here these games are fantastic
The Phoenix Wright thing is pretty frustrating. If they just threw Apollo Justice in with them, Capcom could have another trilogy collection. Maybe someday...
Unfortunately I can no longer play my 3ds because the screen went black and they stopped 3ds service calls about two years ago now and this was almost a year ago. Currently i play my switch and even then wish Nintendo stopped the online requirements to play games when i mostly play offline. I need to exit out of three screens just to play offline, which is ridiculous for a hybrid console. I'm going to stay playing my neogeo mini classic more often because it's a mini arcade that plays offline 100% and doesn't require any Internet to see that you're not using the internet. Now if Nintendo fixes this issue and i find out about this I'll be back.
I forgot that you can't add funds anymore... and I have my 3DS account set to a different country from my switch (I "switched" countries IRL) So I can't even add funds through the website because it just won't let me merge funds... Guess there's only one way to fix this...
I'm not familiar with Switch Online can anyone tell me if a lot of the games on the eshop will still be available to play on Switch Online after the closure?
@@james441 I saw that the mod can only be accessed via the mii maker. But what if I just want to access the mii maker? And can't I use a USB drive instead of an SD card?
I suspect Nintendo is doing this because they want a future "netflix subscription service" where you rent old games by paying monthly or yearly. they are cleaning houses of old retro games now. you wanted to own our old nes or snes games? heck no, you gotta rent them now! im pretty sure with switch 2 they will include gamecube and NDS games to the online service at some point.
It is an open secret that Virtual Console bled money and didn't recoup on cost because sadly the gamers that want to actually own their classic games on digital storefronts are a financially insignificant minority and the rest of the gaming public wants subscription services, hence the direction with NSO
Can someone explain to me why is this happening really? Im not familiar with this stuff at all but Ive seen The Completionists video which mentions the total amount of 3ds/dsiware/VC etc software in gigabytes amounts to 267 which is really low. Is it really that costly to run a server which would be there forever? Or do developers have some kind of licensing agreement that expires? I know that nintendo will allow for redownloading stuff for some time but why is it such big issue to keep the eshop available forever or at least somewhere to download games from? To me this creates even more piracy which Im not gonna judge in this case since nintendo just doesnt give a fuck and Im annoyed I even bought anything digitally..
@@paralysis_demon_hunter Probably, but longterm I feel like it costs them more not to keep the eshop up since it creates doubt and reluctence to buy stuff since youll lose it one day. If they ensured you can always download something one way or another I feel like they could get rid of pirates and physical versions of the games-which are very expensive for them but who knows..

Aoso:
If ur reading this u should buy photo dojo and the gun man clive series just trust me here these games are fantastic
didn't think about DSiWare going away. considering that, I'd add Sujin Taisen: Number Battles to the list of games to get.
I’m gonna say it. Kit got way more handsome with age. It’s wild. And I’m envious haha.
I completely forgot about the Street Pass stuff. Man, Nintendo wants my wallet lmao
Im really sad the eshop was great history in 3ds now he will gonna forever why 😢
Tokyo crash mob is kick ass lol reminded me of photo dojo on dsi
Witch and Hero 1 and 2.
Thanks for the follow up
Thank you UA-cam for notifying me of this video ON THE DAY OF THE eSHOP CLOSING!!!
🤬
I played the first Steel Diver game last year. I actually liked it! Bit on the short side though.
The Phoenix Wright thing is pretty frustrating. If they just threw Apollo Justice in with them, Capcom could have another trilogy collection. Maybe someday...
Sucks that I didn't have enough time or money to get all the Streetpass games. Oh well. The stock car game is good enough.
You guys still forgot the Usagimaru duo of games!
It’s incredibly disheartening that you can’t buy most of these games anymore in a couple of days…
Time for part 3?
Thank you for the video.
I got the ace ace attorney games for $5 each, they had a sale. I need to get the DLC though, which you have to get within the game
I am really looking forward to buying some more games that I might never play fwiw
I forgot that you can't add funds anymore... and I have my 3DS account set to a different country from my switch (I "switched" countries IRL) So I can't even add funds through the website because it just won't let me merge funds... Guess there's only one way to fix this...
Its sad 3DS/Wii U eshop will closed permanently in a few days. Hopefully Nintendo in the future can bring those games on their future console.
6:21 Did he really say "kaputt"? Like .. the german word for broken? xDD
Is Dillon rolling western Lone Ranger the same as Dillon rolling western?
Anyone buying the Ace Attorney games, don't forget to purchase their DLC.
ROUND TWOOOO!!! 😳
RIP 3DS eShop
I just wanna download Dragonquest 8 lol
I'm not familiar with Switch Online can anyone tell me if a lot of the games on the eshop will still be available to play on Switch Online after the closure?
Can't believe Nintendo hasn't put their games on sale...
They know people will get them no matter what gready im waiting for some Atlas sale
@@RAY19740 Atlus cancelled their planned sale
@@AREAlhero that' not good 🥺😐 thank you anyway

@@TheRealRoronoa i get 3 3ds one of them are officially that why i keep getting some game i can't find as physical version
Ace Attorney games rock! Get em while you can.
Love the street pass dlc games
Any recommendations? I only have enough for $20 worth… I keep hearing that fishing’s god tier
Don't forget to download your favorite Nintendo minute video. It may all be deleted from UA-cam.
Nice Nice interesting games and when I get paid I need to get more games , and Nintendo should let us play ds game on switch that will be awsome
I don't have a 3ds but this was fun to watch
What you think it almost close time should I buy more micro sd card or jailed break but I don’t know how to please I need some help before they close
They’re already preserved so I suggest people save their money and research how to mod
That's what I'm going to do, but I'm worried I might make a huge mistake.
@@samyb4566 just follow the UA-cam guides perfectly
@@james441 I saw that the mod can only be accessed via the mii maker. But what if I just want to access the mii maker? And can't I use a USB drive instead of an SD card?
@@samyb4566 I didn’t use any mii maker…. I used an sd card. It’s an sd card made for 3ds. UA-cam another guide
@@james441 I have no problems with the 3DS. I was actually talking about the Wii U.
Because it costs money to keep these Eshops running and there isn’t the demand for them since the switch became the prominent console
With the eShop closing, does that mean we can't re-download old purchases?
They said that you can still redownload everything you bought. You can't buy anything after march 27th.
Also get Ikachan!
20? 💀💀
