I'm doing a similar project with my single axle v nose. It's only use will be transporting my 1975 Honda CB 360t. I'll add Honda tools, portable air compressor and plugs for tv and fan. I've got room for a cot behind my bike. Very cool my friend. Thanks for showing. I've got to get that Harley decal off the sides and replace them with large blue Honda wings.
Wow, I’ve had a ‘75 CJ360t in my garage for the last 20 years. Bought it on eBay in Seattle, and it’s on the list of things to deal with, though I don’t know if I’ll ever get to it. The CJ, you may recall, had drums front and back as well as a kickstart. I rode it in high school and have a real soft spot for it. I’m kind of wondering where you are transporting this old bike to and from, only because it’s not a real practical bike today. I’m looking at trailers because after many years I’m coming back to motorcycling with a ‘22 CB500X, and I’m just fantasizing about transporting it as I think about possible winters in the Southwest. Again, purely brainstorming speculatively, I could see putting a little cot in something like this. I’m kind of shocked at that $3800 price tag for this, and I’m going to pursue it. How is your own project coming along?
Nice trailer. Don't forget to lock your chains up as well. Thieves can use them to haul it away. I also have a cargo trailer for my bikes. I went for the 6x12 & put a bed in the V portion. Works great ! I have a 2019 Goldwing tour, a st1100 & 2 Vespas.
Most of the public is likely unaware that the air we breathe and compress for filling tires is 78 percent Nitrogen. Good move with the stabilizers! I would add LED external lighting for visibility and when backing at night. Red running lights around the rear door surround area, yellow along the sides. Double strips- along the top and bottom. Even if you have a back up camera, you will increase your sight lines and distances to obstacles.
A nice addition is a pocket added to the interior front wall to slip a light weight floor jack and handle in. Also keep whatever tools you feel like you need to change that spare. That way all that stuff is always with the trailer no matter what you are pulling it with.
Congratulations Jeff! Trailers awesome and reminds me of the classic Airstream. You’ll be gleaming down the highway as fellow motorists ponder what treasures are contained within…and trust me rolling out your vmax will always put a smile on your face.
I have hauled my Ultra Classic and my Bultaco Pursang and Honda XL250 at the same time. Snug, but fit with no rubbing. I have rails mounted to the floor at the side walls with movable tie down loops, along with floor mounted D rings at the front.
Master Jeff,,super nice hauler and a fair deal for sure!!! Now you can really have fun taking MAX to many other areas to ride and see the country! Gotta Love It!! :) (Can't wait to see the tie-down system).
Very thorough & informational walk around. Stumbled onto your channel b/c I’m researching trailers. Have ya a thumbs up and subscribed. Appreciate the detail and “to the point” explanation. Going to search for your tie down system video as soon as I leave this comment- Thanks!
I have the same setup for my bike and did the same thing you're planning to do to the interior. I did permanently seal the door on the side, however. I would have preferred a trailer without the side door but they didn't have any in stock. I think the door is convenient but to me it just wasn't secure enough.
Nice enough but the wavy side panels makes it look like crap! Would have been better off with white vinyl. A couple of cheap battery op led lights in the inside would come in handy for night loading and a front wheel tire trap would be worth while additions too🙂
@@edgarbetancourt3746saw your comment. I'm looking for the same size for my streetglide. Just wondering if you got one and if you like the size. Was thinking about the 5x8 extended v nose. Want to keep it as small but safe. Towing it with my classic car on road trips
I have the same type trailer. Do yourself a favor and put some Vaseline or something like that around the drop door gasket. They tend to stick pretty badly if they sit to long.
Yes, I have a 2021 Hyundai Palisade that can tow up to 5,000 lbs, which is the capacity of most mid size SUVs. My trailer will never hit that, even with a Gold Wing in it.
@@JeffMarcum Yeah, I have an X1, max tow cap of 3600lbs. Seems like I'd be a bit tight, especially with something without trailer brakes... I think 5K lbs tow capacity is a good round figure. I might have to upgrade then.
I've seen some videos of people double these as a motorcycle hauler and camper. Do you think theres enough room in a 6x10 to do this? Essentially enough room for a bike and cot?
I think there would be if you didn't put the bike in the center. That would leave room on one side for the cot. But it would also depend on the bike. A bike with hard saddle bags, like a Gold Wing, there probably wouldn't be enough room for anything but the bike.
Nice trailer. Don't forget to lock your chains up as well. Thieves can use them to haul it away. I also have a cargo trailer for my bikes. I went for the 6x12 & put a bed in the V portion. Works great !

Insulate ceiling,,,generator,,AC unit,,cot and gas grill,,,,& Motorcycle and hit the road

I have a 6x12, 6'6" tall....& I had the dealer put an RV style AC in it, bc we camp in it too..
Nice I brought a 6x12 united 2021 in May to go to Sturgis this year instead of renting one

Great idea. Thanks for sharing.
really good idea those stabilizing jacks

Thank you.
Nice, I think you got a good deal. You could probably get 2 motorcycles in there.
Thank you.

I can see where it's very important to paint or seal the plywood, in case it's raining during loading.
Great detail of the trailer, can't wait to see the progress. thanks
Nice trailer. I used to have one just like it!

Looks like a nice trailer. Can't wait to watch the trailer in action.

I would add a wheel chuck. They help a lot!

very well explained im looking the get onlikethat for my Harley
Thank you.
I'm up in South Jersey. I plan to find a dealership where I can buy the same exact trailer. I have the Harley-Davidson 2022 Street glide 117 ST

Buddy thanks 🙏 a lot you explain so good
Thank you.
make your safety chains removable , I can wrap them around my hitch ball and be gone in seconds and once away cut the lock off your coupler
Where can I order this type trailer
V-max nice! I wish i got that instead of my HD

Good point. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hey Jeff, your big ole Vmax can probably TOW that trailer itself.... ya know?
That would make for an interesting video. 😎
@@JeffMarcum Mr. Jeff, so does that mean you’re going to do it? We will be waiting.
@@patrickhaney1442 Yes Pat, I may do it with help from my video editing software and Green Screen. 😂🤣😎
Very nice!
Thank you.
What is the weight rating for the ramp?
You did not give us the manufacturer of this trailer and the weight and load capacity. I'm looking for something like this.
Its max capacity is 1,890 lbs. and its GVWR is 2,990 lbs. It is made by Rock Solid Cargo…a company located in Georgia.
The atmosphere is 78% nitrogen anyway.
thanks for the review, are you able to tow trailer of this size with a mid sized SUV?

Bazzell’s Truck & Camper in Montgomery.
@@JeffMarcum thanks. Heading to Tuscaloosa on Friday!
Well if you have a vmax you need a trailer.

Good point. I've not heard of stealing trailers with only the chains, but it makes sense. Thanks.
