@@heythere8802 No, you're just a mlsinformation bot/troII. If anything, the "bad parents" are the ones who allow their sons to deal with horrible reproductive issues in the future. Stop projecting your trauma as an unclrcumcised male onto other peoples' sons, it's creepy and irresponsible
I have found limited resources on this. Were there any other things you did for the ceremony that was important to you and your family? I have heard of cutting pomegranate or washing the baby's feet, for example.
There's no such thing as a "brit shalom", that's something antlsemitlc organizations created to estrange Jews to their own culture. Furthermore, the "he can decide for himself" argument is flawed in so many ways that it can't even be covered in a short comment. As for you personally, there's no reason to believe you are actually Jews; countless antl-clrcumcision bots masquerade as Jews and other individuals to create a narrative. Long story short, I don't buy it, and I think it's pretty telling that you have to prey on and organize against people on UA-cam talking about their own culture. I'm thankful that the movement against clrcumcision will fail.
Thank you so much for sharing! It is so hard to find any personal experiences with planning this! I’m curious, what did you wear? What did your son wear? What did you serve? Did you have any kind of decorations? Thanks so much!
Hi there! So glad to be of some help! I wore a nice dress but one that I could still nurser in and we served bagels and cream cheese (plus fruit, cheese, cookies etc.), and for decorations we put some baby books out with like balloons I think!
@@drsarahskinsociety2089 No worries! He wore a 'bris dress' which I actually really didn't want him to wear but it's been in the family for generations, but just a t shirt is usually fine, the mohel just doesn't want anything too fussy to have to do back up buttons etc.

Please consider leaving your son intact. I was circumcised without my consent and I resent it. The foreskin is the male prepuce and protects the glans penis, and is extremely sensitive. You have a prepuce too. It's called the clitoral hood and it protects the glans clitoris. Nobody should have their prepuce cut off without their consent. I understand that there is huge religious and cultural pressure behind this practice, but if you can put your religion and culture aside for one minute and think about the health of your child and think how you would feel if someone cut off your clitoral hood, then your motherly instinct will let you see how cruel this is. Please don't do this to your son.
I am so happy I found your channel!!! I'll be starting my own little Jewish family soon enough and this video was so informative! I cannot wait to go watch your others!
Interesting....the only Bris I have ever seen was Leo Steadman's on 30 something.:) As an old nurse I did take care of babies in the nursery after they were circimsized and they calmed down pretty quickly. We fed them a bottle or took them to Mom too breastfeed. Having it in your home is very special and much easier on the babe.
Our sons were done in a clinic, but it must have to be a special event when you can celebrate this special moment with friends and relatives. Thanks for sharing your lovely experiences.
Happy Claire thank you so much! It was definitely stressful but in the end I do appreciate the (short!) moment in the day when we introduced our baby to the world and got all emotional and sentimental 😂
I'm glad i found your video, I'm not Jewish or Pregnant, but my mother says if i ever have a son in the future she wants me to circumcise him (no if ands or buts about it because she would of circumcised me if i was a boy), an i would feel more comfortable with a Mohel if i have a home birth (or birthing center) an have the circumcise be a spiritual event instead of a cosmetic one. We're Jews against circumcision - so we had a brit shalom. Just as wonderful and no pain for my son. He can make his own decision when he's older.
So wonderful 💕
