This is the mikveh I went to for my conversion! The water was so warm. I can’t describe the feeling. I dunked myself three times. 1st time I thought about my past and what brought me to this moment. The 2nd time I thought of the present moment. The third time I thought of the person that I want to be in the future. It was the most meaningful spiritual moment of my life.

Thank You Marion For Sharing Such A Beautiful Ceremony. I Love Learning About Your Culture. I Have Learned So Much From You Things I Have Never Heard Of Before. Thank You Again Sweet Girl I Am So Glad I Found Your Channel. Shalom 🌞
What they didn’t mention & didn’t show is that the woman is examined physically over her entire naked body by someone else to make sure she’s clean & pure during this experience.
I love how seriously the Hebrew community takes theie relationship with God and the love for him. I think there is so much to learn from this in my own walk with the almighty creator of heaven and earth. I love our father so much. I want to know so much more. I want to love him and honor him with my life. Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful. I went when I converted and LOVED the experience. I thought it would be odd someone watching me dunk but it was fine. I started crying once I was given alone time in the mikveh. I get to go witness a friend go before her wedding soon, I am so excited. Thank you for sharing this, I wish I would have had this before I went. I am sharing with everyone I know.
Marion, everything about you and this video is absolutely wonderfully and completely beautiful! ♥️ I first watched this video when you posted it 5 years ago. It always gives me such a feeling of peace, love, and excitement for one day when I can immerse for myself. I really hope it will happen. Thank you for your videos, they help more than you probably know.
I grew up in the United Methodist Church. We baptize once with a hand dipped in holy water on the head of a baby 3 times and that baby is set for life. Upon completion of Confirmation, maybe at 12 yrs old, kids get baptized as part of a special church service that welcomes them officially into the congregation. Some choose to re-baptize as a renewal of our promises/vows to God. I wonder how many religions use water to 'cleanse' their members.
Marion thank you for this great video! I love the mikvah so much and been to so many (going after every cicle) The one in your video is so beautiful!! Here in Israel most of the mikvahs have clean fresh towels , bath-shoes and even a place with a fan and make up so you can dry your hair and do your make up after the immersion if you want and I realy love it. For me its a time for my self, soul and body. This video is so important , it realy shows the spiritual side of the mikvah , thank you! ♥️
Thank you so much for your videos, especially this one. I was always wondering what’s going on in a Mikvah - now I know 🙂 As a catholic woman I feel such a strong solidarity and such a longing to the jewish faith 💕 and I am thankful about so many explanations you give. Shalom from Germany.
Such a beautiful ceremony for a womans spiritual journey and mental and emotional health. I don't know of any other religion that lifts a woman in this way. I recently found that I am of Jewish heritage and the more I learn the closer to G-d I feel. Thank you for sharing this very special gift with us. Much live, Sherry
Oh, my heart! Thank you for this! I went to the Mikveh before I got married and before we decided to have children. It was such a strong, spiritual, cleansing and calming experience. Now that I am entering my pre-menopausal years, I yearn to go back and wish I went more when I was younger. You've inspired me to make an appointment to go!
I am so glad to hear that you liked the video! So lovely to hear that you've been before and felt the benefits of the experience too and maybe will go again. If you do I hope you enjoy it again!
I really appreciate your channel . I grew up traditional , hebrew school, holidays etc . I never appreciated it as a kid .( i'm in my mid 20s) . A few years ago i lived with a religious jewish woman briefly and started to appreciate the beauty of my culture . I then ended up going on birthright and living in Israel for around 8 months and fell in love with it . Since being back in the U.S ive felt a bit disconnected from judaism and miss having a jewish community close to me. Your videos are incredibley comforting for me . Your warm presence , your calming voice , your knowledge on judaism and also the comfort you bring me of remembering the traditions . Honestly it feels like home watching your videos . Thank you for starting a jewish channel and continuously making such beautiful, positively impactful . content :)
So beautiful. I love how you embrace and live your life being Jewish. 🇮🇱 Thank you for sharing a very intimate experience to show and help others to not be afraid. 💕(the big heart is for you and the little heart is for the baby).
I wanted to go in the Mikvah before I got married and I got too scared and never did so. You showed me that the Mikvah is a beautiful and spiritual place to go and that there is nothing to be afraid of. Yasher Koach on your immersion. May your birth be an easy one and I wish you lots of nachos and hatzlacha.
You are so right! It is one of the most special and important things that you can do! I used to go to the Mikveh all the time but since Benny was born it has been difficult. I look forward to go again one day. Beautiful video and so brave to share something so intimate but at the same time it is so important that other women may know what this is. And one can go to a natural Mikveh anywhere there is a river or the ocean. Thanks again for sharing this! Loved it

I am going to the Mikvah after COVID so thank you for the advice I was so nervous but I am so grateful for your advice and I love being a Jew thank you so much Marion !
Thank you so much for your videos!!❤️ You are soooo soooo sweet! I was a Christian but, I was led by God to messianic Judaism....Back to the roots! I understand much more now about baptism and I cried so much to see how spiritual Mittzwah is. I just love all your your videos! This is so special for me...because I was told (by my sister) that we have Jewish background ... this means so much to me. I love Israel, and the first time I was there I thought I was coming home (without still even knowing about my background!)! God bless you!!!
Dear Marion, I chanced upon your blogs recently and felt like finding a treasure trove. I am not Jewish but have always been so interested in learning about the history, culture and the meanings behind the Judaic rituals. Thanks for sharing 😊
@@MyJewishMommyLife Thanks for the tip! I'll have to check it out. My girls are obsessed with their Grandparent and Me program that goes on monthly -- you may have caught those pics in my Storytime video on my other channel. The library is amazing! And yes, you've got the correct name. When we were kids it was UJ. :)
I am not a Jewish woman; but I thought this is just a beautiful tradition. You're such a sweet young woman. May God bless you, your baby (maybe an Olympic Swimmer or a child who will really enjoy baths?) and your whole family with health and happiness.
I think the jewish concept of niddah and the mikvah ritual are so special and beautiful! I've been doing my research on these things (and judaism in general) and your videos have been helping me so much. I discovered you a few weeks ago and I've been binge watching you ever since. I want to thank you for all the content you have been sharing with us and keep up the amazing work you're doing. May G-d bless you and your beautiful family! ❤️ P.S. March, 2019 I've been learning a lot of late...watching vids and films.... all to do with Judaism, specifically Hasidism.... The Culture and History of Israel and Judaism is so so rich. The more I learn, the more that I want to know. So, I appreciate watching this video. And, you make a lovely mother !! This Goyishe male ( and a Sammy - Who Knew ) thanks you and wishes you health and happiness !! God Bless !
Thank you for sharing this! It’s just a wonderful video. I went to mikvah just before I got married. It was an exceptional feeling. I really felt like I was in the womb! Being surrounded totally by the nice warm water current while I’m curled up. I felt reborn It was even more special that I brought along two friends to make sure that I dunk totally. So I shared it with special people
This was very interesting. I have heard of Mikvah but certainly didn't understand the process. This is something that anyone could benefit from. Thanks so much for sharing it.
I just found your UA-cam channel and love it! 💕 I am a first time mom due in July. I look forward to reading your book and having a spiritual Jewish birth.
This was such a lovely video 💕 I have always wanted to go to a Mikvah. I am not Jewish but it is the Religion I feel most connected with and would love to be part of. I thought it was so beautiful the way you shared the video and it was so cute when baby started kicking 💕 Thank you so much for sharing 💕 x x
Thank you for sharing your experience at the mikvah. Had recently went myself to finalize my conversion. Did realize that the mikvahs could be that different, yet still maintain the key similarities. The one I went to did have multiple towels and crocs available, so didn't need to bring my own.
You're so welcome I'm glad you liked the video! Oh wow I love that they had towels and crocs there, that's so nice!! I hope you had a really positive experience!
I'm a Christian looking to learn more about Jewish culture and traditions, and I'm so glad I found your channel! I also love pregnancy/women's health so I loved this video. What a sweet, special, beautiful tradition as you transition to a new phase in life. I so appreciate you sharing your faith and culture. I hope this isn't offensive, but I am genuinely curious- is it okay for a Christian to participate in traditions like these?
Wow what an amazing comment thank you so much!! I’m into people doing and expressing themselves however they like so long as it doesn’t hurt others. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
You can look up into Hebrew Roots of the Christian faith. I’ Christian also but was attending a Community that was studying Torah, observers Shabbat and practice all the Festivities. It’s a big movement.
I am a Christian as well, interested in Jewish roots. Actually, many Christian Sects/Denominations also do complete immersion, called Baptism. A religious experience, and a Mitzvah, Identifying as Christian, just like a Jewish convertion. The difference is we Christians do ours Publicly and fully clothed. We follow this tradition from John the Baptister, son of Elisheba (Elizabeth ) & Zechariah the Jewish Priest, Grandson of Aaron a Levite, Priest. Great-grandparents: Jochebed, Amram also a Levite. Thanks for humoring my sharing.
In the old days, when taking a Bath was considered not healthy, Jewish men used to go to the Mikveh on Friday to feel clean for the Shabbat. women less but at least once a month. Being clean protected them from plagues especially in the Middle Ages.
This sounds so very special and spiritual. I have always felt most spiritual in those sensory meditative moments where I can be fully in the moment and pray. I think I would really love this. Thank you so much for educating us about it.
I am really enjoying learning about Judaism and the roots of my faith, as I have been on a Messianic walk this year. A conversion of the heart you might say. My question would be do men ever have to do this? I ask because in Biblical times men would submerge before going to the temple if I am not mistaken, right? Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you so much! Sounds like you’re on an amazing journey. Yes men do go to the Mikvah, traditionally before their wedding day and each year before Yom Kippur. Some go more often like before Shabbat too!
I subscribed and binge-watched like 5 of your videos today and this one was really spiritual and beautiful. Thank you for sharing this very personal event with us. I’ve heard of the mikvah primarily as an immersion lifecycle event for converts something that I have considered doing to fully “return” to the Jewish people as I am someone with Jewish roots. Seeing the prayers in the waiting area and the spirituality of the whole event brought peace and joy to my spirit. God bless you and your family.
The Baal Shem Tov, the founder of chassidic Judaism, said for a man technically the mikveh is not a mitzvah, but it leads a man to fulfill all the mitzvos. After I go, It is like the static in my mind has been removed, I am more optimistic and joyful. I read some torah that under the water, you reach a level of Adam Harishon the first man before he sinned. I only use it before shabbos but I am starting to think I should go everyday because it has had such a positive impact on my state of mind.
Thank you. I’m not Jewish; I’m a Christian, and I found this so helpful for understanding the Jewish origins of baptism and thinking about Mary during her pregnancy. Also I see a lot of similarities to the rituals of Japanese bathing. I had heard about Mikvah before a wedding from a Jewish person I used to work with, so it is great to learn more about it.
I’ve just found your channel and I love what you speak about, thank you for sharing. I was wondering if there was a way to find a copy of the prayers one would say at a mikvah and how many are there? I’m currently praying about converting, as I feel led to, so I’m walking out that journey with intention - which is how I found your channel. Shalom
I’m not Jewish (but I am interested in learning and perhaps converting if I can handle the responsibility of the mitzvot) and this is so interesting to see!
Watching this again because it's just so beautiful. This is something I haven't thought of before, but out of curiosity do they let people who are half Jewish, or even non-Jewish immerse in the mikvah?
If your mother is jewish, you are also jewish. There are mikvas for men and women separately and anyone can immerse in a living body of water, a lake, river, the sea.. realistically, no one will probably ask you if you are jewish or not if you go to the mivkva and you know more or less what you are doing

Wow what an amazing and profound spiritual experience, so glad to know this video resonated with you!
Dear Marion, I chanced upon your blogs recently and felt like finding a treasure trove. I am not Jewish but have always been so interested in learning about the history, culture and the meanings behind the Judaic rituals. Thanks for sharing 😊
Wow that is so kind of you to say, I really appreciate it!!
I'm not Jewish but this was absolutely beautiful! Many blessings towards you and your baby
Thank you so much!
I am converting to Judaism. Thank you for sharing these videos!
I’ve never been to a Mikvah. Such a great idea for a video, Marion! It’s beautiful and not at all what I imagined.
Thank you!! I've been the one at the American Jewish University (or whatever it's called now...) they have such a lovely one as well!
Little Kosher Lunch check out Jew in the Cities Mikvah video, too!
@@mcomeslast Will do! Thanks!
They are (maybe done) remodeling the one at AJU now. The Mikveh ladys are super nice and will let you see if you call ahead and no one is using.
I took my adopted daughter to the mikvah. As a Jewish woman I had never been but I had heard of it. It was an interesting experience.
Nice video Marion. It seems like an amazing experience. You are very spiritual and your baby was enjoying being there too.
Thank you so much for your very kind comment!
Love this! Between this and the doula video, I can’t wait for your book.

Beyond beautiful. So emotional! Thank you for sharing this with us ❤️
I am not a Jewish woman; but I thought this is just a beautiful tradition. You're such a sweet young woman. May God bless you, your baby (maybe an Olympic Swimmer or a child who will really enjoy baths?) and your whole family with health and happiness.
Thank you so very much for your very kind words!
I have never done it but always wanted too. Thank you for showing this.
❤️ P.S. March, 2019
I've been learning a lot of late...watching vids and films.... all to do with Judaism, specifically Hasidism....
God Bless !
Thank you so much for your kind comment, I'm so glad you are enjoying the content!
How special, he truly sensed something had changed. What a wonderfully unique experience!
Thank you! Yes agreed it was so amazing!
Thank you for sharing this! It’s just a wonderful video.
I went to mikvah just before I got married. It was an exceptional feeling. I really felt like I was in the womb! Being surrounded totally by the nice warm water current while I’m curled up. I felt reborn
It was even more special that I brought along two friends to make sure that I dunk totally. So I shared it with special people
That's amazing! So glad to hear you had such a positive experience as well. Thank you for sharing!
This was very interesting. I have heard of Mikvah but certainly didn't understand the process. This is something that anyone could benefit from. Thanks so much for sharing it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Aww thank you so much, you are so sweet!! I'm so glad I could share the experience through this video!
Iam a Christian too but 💘 the Jewish traditions would love to participate in this kind of Tradition Shalom!
Joel Velez what is this movement called please?
May you have an easy pregnancy and delivery 🙏🙏💪💪💞💞
You're so pretty. I love your Jewish knowledge.
In the old days, when taking a Bath was considered not healthy, Jewish men used to go to the Mikveh on Friday to feel clean for the Shabbat. women less but at least once a month. Being clean protected them from plagues especially in the Middle Ages.
Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you so much for sharing! Shalom!
This is so beautiful. Facilities are nice and organise.
Thank you! Yes it really is a very beautiful place!
This sounds so very special and spiritual. I have always felt most spiritual in those sensory meditative moments where I can be fully in the moment and pray. I think I would really love this. Thank you so much for educating us about it.
I was just there at adas Isreal 2weeks ago for my conversion
I'm late, but Thank You for the knowledge. I am thinking of converting and am slightly over whelmed but excited.
What a beautiful video! Thank you for this!
Thank you so much, so glad to hear that you liked it!
Very interesting to learn about other religions. Thank you for posting. I hope that the delivery went well and the beautiful baby is healthy.
That was so sweet. Thank you so much.
One of my favourite videos, lovely and heart warming. Thank-you for sharing.
So glad to hear it!
So beautiful and interesting. Thanks for sharing!
So glad that you liked it, thank you for watching!
Beautiful! Sending love! You help me to see into my future, Marion. XOXO Sarah Elisheva
That is so lovely to hear, thank you so much!!
Shalom
Beautiful video, and a beautiful mikvah! So glad you had a nice experience.
Thank you so much! So glad you liked the video!
This video helps me a lot for a project I am doing on interfaith. Thank you!
Bless you....
Much gratitude for you sharing your experience...
My eyes are leaking...
Aww thank you!
I’m not Jewish (but I am interested in learning and perhaps converting if I can handle the responsibility of the mitzvot) and this is so interesting to see!
Hope you find my videos helpful!
