I would say do an elite one and a lower level kind of player profiles. I think that would help a lot of people to recognise what is needed at each level. Great video!! Keep it up! I'm learning a lot from this!!
Fantastic video as always. I would just add one thing re: Wing Back + Winger - like pretty much anything on FM, it can work, even if it's not an efficient use of space. Sometimes you may want to stretch the opponent and have two players capable at crossing near each other to give a better chance of one of them finding the space and angle for a good ball. It can be very effective when using 1-2 aerially dominant strikers.
Great tip and thanks for sharing the tactical info! In more recent videos, I try to remind myself not to talk in exact platitudes for just that reason; there are so many ways to be successful in FM that it's not really helpful to say "this won't work!" But glad you're enjoying the videos!
I signed Vanderson in my Man United save in a very similar formation to the tijuana one you have and he got 19 assists in the league from RWB. Very solid option!
thank you!! Some of the later videos start to get into other aspects of FM (like the latest video talks about using player traits and player instructions) if you're curious!
Hey bud thanks I really appreciate the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video; I aim to create content that's (hopefully) easy to understand and love that you're enjoying them
i love the vintage aesthetic!, only a few videos and i already love this chanel, the role guides are grate even if you already been playing FM for years, i keep learning new things... great content! thanks! 💯🫶✨ i do use wingbacks paired with wingers but i give them the indication to stay narrow and to cut inside as well to do underlaps, they create beautiful chances running into the box while the winger stays wide, i think this doesn't happen as often as i may want to but... i love it goes well
Gread video. I was stragling defensively with my wb on attack and i thought that maybe i should do a back three. But after that video I tried to change my DM on support for DM on defence. 3 clean sheets in a row againts decent opponents. Big thx to you. Looking forward for next videos
Dude that's awesome thanks for sharing!! Glad you were able to get your WB to work... it's funny how one small change like switching your DM role can completely change your team
Great video yet again, I love how you explain the roles so clearly! I've been playing FM for almost 7 years now and I'm still not quite sure what to expect from certain roles, sometimes I just go by instinct. For example, I still can't quite grasp what's the difference between a wing back on defend duty and a full back on support. Aren't they both supposed to be less risky and occupy that central area, not bomb forward, provide cover and deep crosses?
Yea those two roles and duties are so close, you're splitting hairs at that point. I've found that a fullback on support can drift inside towards the midfield halfspace when you push up the field, and the wingback will stay out wider. And it's not by much, a really small difference. And I don't know if this helps (or makes sense haha), but with a fullback (support) it's like I'm telling a defending player to be a little more attacking. But a wingback (defend) I'm telling an attacking player to defend a little more. Basically the same, but still has slight differences in how they approach possession with the ball Edit: and thank you for the compliments!
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker thanks again for doing them, fm24 is my first fm game and these have been a massive help understanding the roles and tweaking my tactics for them.
Deep into a save, Aston Villa was a nightmare matchup for me, and their tem wasn't even world class. Reason is I play a narrow 4-3-1-2 and they had a class WB, very quick paired with a traditional Winger AND a Mezzala on their right flank. The overload wreaked havoc in my defense. The only team in the Prem I had to adjust. Great insight, WBs are great.
I think of a complete wingback as a more intense version of the wingback. They love to attack even more than a WB, but they do less defensively. They also have "roam from position" as a hard coded instruction, meaning they may drift from their position in relation to your tactic. And an advanced playmaker on the wing would be great! They like to cut inside with the ball and since there's less defenders out wide, an AP and a WB can create a good partnership.
Thank you. Best examples would be, not elite players, but because attribute match for the role they play like elite. Hope you understand. Let's say I bought Bingo from Monaco, feels like elite wingback on att., but his attributes are not even close to Reece James or Hakimi.
I had a guy in Marseille that was a 2, star player and we won the champions league whit gim playing a 7.1-7.2 averadge. It all came from his teamwork attribute. There was even a Leverkusen team that won the champions league whit a team whit most players at 2,5 or 3 stars.
Great idea! Like you're other comment I think doing smaller videos on player traits would be good... It's easier for me to handle the bite sized videos haha.
Is it possible to get a wing back and winger working together if your main goal threat is a tall target or complete forward with strong heading that is supposed to receive crosses from the wing? Or will they get in each others way?
It can defnitely work! But I think the Wingback will sit in a little deeper since you already have a winger, and it may limit his effectiveness. What you can do, is in your next match, just watch the two of them for maybe 15-20 minutes and see if you're liking their movement. Sometimes the objective of your tactic (hit in crosses to your striker) can outweigh negatives with your roles
I would say do an elite one and a lower level kind of player profiles. I think that would help a lot of people to recognise what is needed at each level. Great video!! Keep it up! I'm learning a lot from this!!
Love the idea of doing the two; and thank you for the kind words!! Glad these videos are helping out
Leif Davis springs to mind - Ipswich Town in the Championsip
Yes we would get to know the benchmark for each role with the help of an elite example.
this production level is absolutely elite
thank you my friend! I spend a lot of time making sure it looks good so I'm glad it's paid off!
Maradona is world class, so are your channel, keep it up! I can see 50k Subscribers in half year.
I hope to get there someday! thanks for the compliments!
Love your videos an in-depth explanations. Makes me want to reconsinder the tactic in my current save!
it's funny because making them has helped me too haha. Especially roles we may take for granted (like the deep lying forward)
Fantastic video. You could provide 3 examples, one in the lower leagues, one in the mid-level leagues, and one in the top league(s).
Fantastic video. Shocking you have under 1000 subs with this quality
Thanks bud really appreciate the compliment! Let's see how far we can take this channel haha
Just saw your channel on my recommendation. Great video man. Hope to see more roles coming in the future 👍👍👍
Welcome aboard!
Thank you for all the quality information. FM24 is easier to understand now thanks to you.
Glad to help!
New subscriver here! Keep the good work. Hope to see more content!

That formation was so much fun! I loved that you were guaranteed a ton of goals... you just didn't know what team was going to score them haha
Comment to support the channel. Wish you good luck, amazing content
thank you for the kind words my friend!
Amazing videos! Get involved in every FM aspect of features... I would like you to cover every role ... Your videos are like a FM Bible to me!!😅
thank you!! Some of the later videos start to get into other aspects of FM (like the latest video talks about using player traits and player instructions) if you're curious!
Another great video - simple and clear explanations with in-game examples. Thanks pal 👍
Hey bud thanks I really appreciate the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video; I aim to create content that's (hopefully) easy to understand and love that you're enjoying them
This is great. Been wanting this kind of video from a FM youtuber. More please. 👍🏻
Thank you! I've got plenty of videos in the making!
Excellent content 👌 Looking forward to the rest of the roles
thank you for the kinds words!
Binging through all of your videos and now I'm getting a sneaking suspicion that you're also a fellow Canadian! Awesome stuff, again.
haha I'm actually American! But I love the Canadian Premier League; I'm trying to work in some more examples with my Pacific FC save haha
Love your channel mate, keep up the good work. I would say a combination of player levels would work well.
Thanks! and i agree; I think a combination of levels would work best
i love the vintage aesthetic!, only a few videos and i already love this chanel, the role guides are grate even if you already been playing FM for years, i keep learning new things...

Super channel man! I would like to see your video about Poacher, I completely don't know how to utilize them properly
Would love to see a video about the Mezzala and roles that would be good to set up around it. Thanks for the awesome video!
Glad you liked it! I hope to get to the mezzala soon(ish)!
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker thanks again for doing them, fm24 is my first fm game and these have been a massive help understanding the roles and tweaking my tactics for them.
Great job, man! I love your videos
thank you for the kind words!
These videos are great!
For player examples you could do a top tier guy, one thats developmental and lower level one?
This is a fantastic suggestion!!! Love the idea of doing a wide selection of players to look. Much appreciated
Amazing guides
Welcome to the FM content scene 👌
thank bud appreciate it! Another addition to the north american FM scene haha
Do all the roles please ❤ love your content
I'm moving slowly through them all but I hope to have them all at some point!
I've been using Balde as a CWB and he's been a dream.
I love how your visuals are 2Ds. 2D FM uber alles!😂
I've tried watching 3D matches but I can't do it hahaha.... 2D forever!!! It's so much easier for me to underrstand what's going on tactically
That Doka is so nasty in real life. Crazy fun to watch.
Love the simple videos!
Glad you like them!
class channel. please do one on segundo volante 🙏🙏🙏
Appreciate the kind words my friend! And don't worry, that video is coming! Love the seguno volante
Please do Complete Wing Backs too!
I am thinking of ways of how to make my right flank work, with Fresneda (CWB-At) and Luis Guilherme (IW-Su)
I would love to see a comparison between wingback/fullback/completewingback... love your videos... greetengs from BG
I plan to do more combos with the WB as wel as individual videos for fullback and CWB in the (somehwat) near future. Stay tuned!

The WB who are great at crossing are such a nightmare to play against. Just a barrage of dangerous crosses in for 90 minutes
Could you explain the difference with a complete wingback? And would an advanced playmaker on the wing be a good option instead of the if(s)?
I think of a complete wingback as a more intense version of the wingback. They love to attack even more than a WB, but they do less defensively. They also have "roam from position" as a hard coded instruction, meaning they may drift from their position in relation to your tactic.
And an advanced playmaker on the wing would be great! They like to cut inside with the ball and since there's less defenders out wide, an AP and a WB can create a good partnership.
This is how a role guide should be done.
Would prefer the non top players. Everyone has already done them and.... yeah, they win a lot.
Thank you for the kind words. I agree and think focusing on lower league players, or at least a mixture, would be best
make a video to explain what the difference between fullback and wingback please
Very good :) i subscribe your channel
Thank you very much!

Love the matching attributes idea; like the @stefankatsarov5806 said having an elite teamwork attribute can cover up a lot of mistakes
Also, I think, a huge video about player’s traits will be good
(With proper attributes for them)
Or few videos, describing each group of traits (attacking, passing, etc)
Great idea! Like you're other comment I think doing smaller videos on player traits would be good... It's easier for me to handle the bite sized videos haha.

Make video for goalkeeper roles🙏
great idea! goalies are often forgotten (even by myself haha) so I'll see if I can get some of those uploaded
Cool) Never seen any guide for keepers
Can you add subtitles to your video? wish you all the best sir!
great idea, I'll see if i can incorporate that somehow
Hello man , can u create video about ifb :)
it's on the schedule dont worry!
I like the idea but this is too basic for me
thanks for the feedback! What kind of more advanced stuff would you like to see?
Enjoying the content, do you have a twitter/X handle?
I don't have Twitter/X; I live in the UA-cam comment section haha
