Ugh when I shop for an A6 i end up shopping for an A7, then S7, and then an RS7, and then once that dopamine rush from window shopping subsides, I start over with a Camry

We looked at a 23 camry XSE before looking at the 21 A6 45 P+ and the Camry felt hollow and had many questions with paint, at a Lexus dealership.... It's hard to explain in words. We bought the Audi, mainly to match our Passat. The passat is performance, the audi is for cruising. And yes, the black out package is beautiful!

I have a love/hate relationship with the A6. I had a 2007 for six years but traded out in 2013 because I felt like it was about to blow me out of the water with repair costs. I had a DRL bulb go out and the dealer wanted $400 to replace it. A bulb. $9 for the bulb; $370 in labor + tax. He said it with a straight face like he didn't feel he was saying something absurd. It was great for six years and about 70K miles but beyond that I don't believe it makes any sense to keep them. You are correct however; Audi construction and interior quality is probably among the very best you can get in a mass produced vehicle. A Bentley will have much more expensive materials and tech; but it won't be put together any better than a base A6. You will glide across thousands of miles of country in all weather in serenity and comfort in a big Audi Quattro sedan; they are magnificent. Just don't plan to keep them over 7 years.

I have the 2019 A6 3.0 premium plus, the cooled seats come with the cold weather package. I agree it should of came standard with that Trim. The Prestige doesnt really add much more, most of the stuff you think you would get is optional, ie luxury package that gives you the better seats, real leather, air suspension, HUD, panoramic sunroof. so your right if your going to buy this car just skip the 2.0 and get the 3.0 and both gas mileages arent that far off.

Outside of grabbing a Lc500 convertible I’m torn between going the EV route or getting something that’s a mashup of 2 vehicles I like such as the LX (which I would like to see the new tundra hybrid system put in it) as most of my friends in vegas all have jeeps and the new broncos so rolling up to go camping in a lexus with that amazing 25speaker surround sound system and massaging seats would be fun.

@@MeynMotorGroup I have my issues with fully trusting EVs coming out of China, nothing I’ve had made there has stood up to long term usage let alone lasting a year (putting aside the concentration camps in the northwest province). The EVs that do sound attractive would be the new Lucid Air, Rivians, Taycan (my top choice), and the new refreshed Tesla Model S (long range or plaid). Living in vegas also means taking advantage of our heat and sun for having solar installed at our house which sounds tempting to combo with the Audi. Outside of owning a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a Dodge SRT4 neon, Jaguar S type (supercharged), and a 2002 Porsche Boxster I’ve kept primarily to JDM makes, key notes being reliability, comfort/space and the amount of value for money you get over the span of its lifetime. My top favorites were the ISF (now totaled), RX350 (for the wife to replace the Jeep), my first lexus which was a 2008 IS350 before upgrading to a 2012 ISF

@@MeynMotorGroup my main holdbacks on EVs right now is that I work in the battery/solar industry so the fact I’m holding out on solid state battery tech, lithium titanate, other other newer tech it, at least in my mind, is no different than seeing all these smart phones compete…they all pretty much have the same function and the battery degradation over time is parallel to EVs where power/performance loss gets worse and worse in time and will need a complete replacement at some interval unless combustion engines where a proper tuneup, engine cleaning/management would be a fraction of trying to acquire new battery back and high voltage current cabling to get the EV back to what it was like new.
