Ugh when I shop for an A6 i end up shopping for an A7, then S7, and then an RS7, and then once that dopamine rush from window shopping subsides, I start over with a Camry
You just described my exact mental buying process 😅😂 and just like you said it resets back to some 5k junker camry when I say to myself that's all I need then image/performance kicks back in and I slowly start going back up the food chain...everytime
We looked at a 23 camry XSE before looking at the 21 A6 45 P+ and the Camry felt hollow and had many questions with paint, at a Lexus dealership.... It's hard to explain in words. We bought the Audi, mainly to match our Passat. The passat is performance, the audi is for cruising. And yes, the black out package is beautiful!
I have a love/hate relationship with the A6. I had a 2007 for six years but traded out in 2013 because I felt like it was about to blow me out of the water with repair costs. I had a DRL bulb go out and the dealer wanted $400 to replace it. A bulb. $9 for the bulb; $370 in labor + tax. He said it with a straight face like he didn't feel he was saying something absurd. It was great for six years and about 70K miles but beyond that I don't believe it makes any sense to keep them. You are correct however; Audi construction and interior quality is probably among the very best you can get in a mass produced vehicle. A Bentley will have much more expensive materials and tech; but it won't be put together any better than a base A6. You will glide across thousands of miles of country in all weather in serenity and comfort in a big Audi Quattro sedan; they are magnificent. Just don't plan to keep them over 7 years.
I feel like your advice is a tiny bit dated,im Going on four years and almost 110,000 miles with my 2019 A6 No problems at all except of course the mice who thought it was their home 😂. 2007 was a long time ago almost 4 body styles ago 😮😮
End of 2019 I had this exact A6 45 Premium Plus in black without the hideous(in my opinion) black optic package. I leased it for $650/month with $2,200/down. Right now I tried to re-lease a new one, its $1400!!!!!!!!!! WTFFFFFFFFF :( BTW THE BANG AND OLUFSEN SOUNDSYSTEM IS AMAZING!
Yea those models are great worth the cost of admission if you have the money. 4 cylinder isn't terrible its slow but at least it's smooth and unobtrusive
I have the 2019 A6 3.0 premium plus, the cooled seats come with the cold weather package. I agree it should of came standard with that Trim. The Prestige doesnt really add much more, most of the stuff you think you would get is optional, ie luxury package that gives you the better seats, real leather, air suspension, HUD, panoramic sunroof. so your right if your going to buy this car just skip the 2.0 and get the 3.0 and both gas mileages arent that far off.
Hey there. Thanks for a great and informative review. The current Audi A6 has been around since 2018-2019, do you suggest buying it now? Or will there be any major facelift coming soon? I really like this model, but contemplating if I should wait for a newer model (if there is a facelift expected).
Is the blacked out Audi badge part of a package or that’s just how it it now? Sadly when cover the badge it looks more like a Hyundai to the average person
G80 is good I would probably have to go V6 since the 4 cylinder isn't too smooth I really liked the previous generation G80 I felt it handled a bit better. New G80 crushes the interior game tho
Yea and you get a lot it's just in the US at least they are charing big bucks for Genesis 6 cylinders, about $65k similar to a V6 Audi but Genesis used to be the value option not sure what they think they're doing with their prices
Exactly and I guess as long as residual values improve its not too bad after all they do offer the best warranty out of any luxury car. I hope things work out for them
I have the prestige s-line with the 21” wheels fully loaded. Best car I’ve ever had. A7 and a8 are ugly compared to 6 series and outruns everything in its class and then some IRL.
Same here...just purchased an A6 Premium Plus, black Optics package, Executive package...white in color. I love the car...shopped around for months...test drove bmw 540i, Mercedes cls 450 and E class, Lexus IS 350F Sport....Audi was love at first sight...interior and exterior and performance and interior space. Audi was just overall a better car. Everyone loves it...21 inch rims look great
i think the black optics package looks good. also i know this video is like 10 months old but even 10 months ago the s6 and s7 were WAY MORE than 70k. also the a4 is much much smaller than the a6 man lol cmon
Actually yea you’re right S6 is like $75k and S7 is like $82k but A4 is def not a small car certainly has a lot of rear legroom for the class. They’re all good vehicles not really going wrong with any of them
@@MeynMotorGroup audi s6 should retail for 75-80 but unfortunately its impossible to get one for under 95-100. i sat in a new s4 and i barely fit but i guess maybe cause im a slightly larger human. the a6 to me at least had way more room. either way cant really go wrong i think they all look good
I partnered with a company called AutoCompanion they sell Audis at MSRP and they currently are offering 11.5% off MSRP on a 2022 SQ5 SUV. Problem is you have to wait 6-8 months to have the vehicle built and shipped to you. Sorry the S4 didn’t work out in size yea maybe A4 series lacks headroom I think
@@MeynMotorGroup yea i really wanted an s4 or s5 but the headroom is so lacking i didnt get it. the a6 interior was much better i wasnt expecting it to be that roomy for me up front. i may wait on something else and just get my wife the a6. she likes the 2.0 for city mpg lol.
Thank you as always for your reviews Kevin! Based on your review, it doesn't seem like it holds its own against the 5 series or E Class for that insane 70K price point. Personally, I prefer a Lexus or Genesis vs the Germans anyway, but this just seems like it just offers a nice quiet, luxurious, and comfortable ride, which you can get in far less expensive vehicles.
ES is a fine car prestige well that's debatable but it's a good car for like $45k no more than that. It certainly can't handle anywhere near as well as these Euro cars and people with a million plus net worth want the best
@@MeynMotorGroup Not true! I'm one of those you describe and own 2 Lexus ES350's. They're more comfortable than the Audi A6and have more rear room. The Lexus is more reliable and costs less to maintain as well.
That $70k sounds like a bargain when you see how much the Audi dealers want for their damn Etrons. My Las Vegas Audi dealer wants $186k USD for Audi Etron GT Prestige (non RS models)….which is $70k over msrp….. I mean I know we in vegas love our drugs but I think the Audi dealer is smoking one too many….
EV cars are going for well over msrp across the board it's pretty nuts but yes 70k over sticker is ridiculous they do sell for a premium but usually not that much over

Good problems to have I personally wouldn't mind having an EV as a secondary car especially with all this potential gas shortage nonsense. Polestar 2 seems like an attractive option and actually available in many markets. They aren't allowed to do mark ups either
@@MeynMotorGroup I have my issues with fully trusting EVs coming out of China, nothing I’ve had made there has stood up to long term usage let alone lasting a year (putting aside the concentration camps in the northwest province). @@MeynMotorGroup my main holdbacks on EVs right now is that I work in the battery/solar industry so the fact I’m holding out on solid state battery tech, lithium titanate, other other newer tech it, at least in my mind, is no different than seeing all these smart phones compete…they all pretty much have the same function and the battery degradation over time is parallel to EVs where power/performance loss gets worse and worse in time and will need a complete replacement at some interval unless combustion engines where a proper tuneup, engine cleaning/management would be a fraction of trying to acquire new battery back and high voltage current cabling to get the EV back to what it was like new.
