I'm in CT and I brought them in when we had a series of hard frosts. My garage is heated and set at 45 degrees but it warms up in the daytime. My trees are showing green tips. Is it the light or the temp that does this. I could work on making it dimmer in there.
I am new to the addiction of figs, what size of pots are those large black ones. I am referring to the pots with the largest trees in them. Also are you using just a potting mix for the soil. Thanks
What point I'm in 8a but it got down to 9 degrees last year. I don't need to put mine in the garage? At what point do you put yours in? When it reaches a certain degrees?
I recently got in to eating figs jam they are crazy good with peanut butter sandwiches 🥪!!! Love your video
Hope you have a happy thanksgiving and great season next year.
You as well!

Potentially both. Darkness will help and so will keeping it below 50F.

They are 55g drums cut in half. For small trees and cuttings I use a mix of pine bark, potting mix, and manure.
have you had any experience with storing them in a shed? Too cold? zone 6B here in PA
I've stored them in my unheated greenhouse and they didn't do very well.
Aren’t you concern that if it’s a little too early? Mine here in NYC area still got some leaves.
No not here. We've had several nights in the 20s. NYC has a ton of microclimates, so a good rule of thumb is once the leaves drop, time for storage.
Hi i live in they same state as You, near Delaware. Which variety ripens first Ford you

When the leaves drop after first frost they go into the garage.
What are the temperatures like in the garage? Mine is around 45f is that to warm?
They fluctuate from 30F-50F. Keeping it dark and below 50F is key.
