Thank you for this, Ana! My husband and I watched this video last night and built our own today! Your thoroughness and simplicity to building made us feel as though we could accomplish anything. Keep doing what you're doing because it sure inspires (and teaches) the rest of us.
I made 2 of these for my garage this afternoon. Simple and inexpensive yet very effective. It looks so much better after hanging up my out of control yard tools.
Thanks . Great idea. I just completed it in 30 minutes. I have built front door chair, bench , planter as well. People say i am a pro.. but they dont know i am just learning from your amazing videos and plans.
I have found personally, that my bad habit of dropping rakes, shovels, and those of a similar ilk, was becoming hazardous to my health! I have a doo-hickey to put some things away but it's not as under control yet.
Wow, how long do your tools last?? lol If you clean and hang them after use or project, it’ll prevent rush and keep the edges sharper with much less maintenance. Grew up on a farm, and dad taught me to buy the best tools I could afford, then take care of them! Most of the tools I use now were inherited from him and my grandpa, so most are 50-70 years old! And since quality keeps deteriorating while prices rise, replacing them just gets worse.
Ditto! LOVE THIS ...easy beginner project too ( fyi measure the space with a parked car distance away from -sidevew mirror et al) . Love it Love it Love it ...now the garden hose also fits this too ! Awesome !
I did something like this in my shed, but just used the boards that made the shed & hung nails to hold the tools. I put one nail on each side of a rack, one nail for shovels, but my nails where long. I want to say they where 8 penny or 16 penny nails? Not sure exactly what size. But it all turned out ok & that's what size I had left over from the built of the shed. It's a great & easy tool holder Ana. And thank you for sharing your videos with us, Chris from Missouri
I will make this for my back yard beside vegetable garden. This can be done with scrap material of fencing and deck as this doesn’t have to be cedar. Awesome Ana, thanks
I am Sick of long-handled tools piled up in the corner of our garage! I've been looking for an affordable organizer. Sure can't beat this one for efficiency and low-cost!!! Thanks, Ana!!!
I finally go around to cleaning up my garage with this project. I did make two slight changes: 1) I added wood glue (Titebond 3) to all the joints and 2) I turned one of the 10” pieces sideways and mounted it on the top side so that my 6’ ladder would hang on the rack too. Couldn’t be happier with this! Thank you for the idea!
nice job lady, really impressive project especially for the price and materials used. better than all the other videos I watched. one thing you could do if you're obsessed with saving space like me is to add storage hooks on the ends of the overhanging 2x4s.. then just use that to hold some light gardening tools. thanks again for sharing!
This is such a good idea! I'm going to plan a summer and fall section with a separate winter section. I hope to buy a small tiller so I can turn in compost. That should prove interesting to store! So glad to see your smiling face again! Blessings on you and your family and friends. 🕊🙏🖖😷👍🐱🤠🌱
I used your design. The suggestion to lay out the tools on the floor was excellent. It showed me where I wanted to put my large collection of garden tools. I had to narrow down two of the 2x4's for holding handles because I have a couple of shovels with smaller handles. Your suggestions and video were terrific. Thanks.
I love this and need to make this! I think I might make this for Father’s Day. Ana, if you would have left enough room to create space behind the main brace (longest piece of wood), I wonder if you could shift them as needed...so, create those hangers in an ‘L’ shape so they could slide in either direction. I’m not sure I’m making any sense, though. This is just so fabulous!!! Thank you for the plans!
Great idea Ana....I think I'll rip the hangar 2 by's to make smaller hanging posts....by the way I made your potting bench/bar (for our porch) the wife loves it.
@@AnaWhiteDIY I even applied the build principles to make a garden hose storage ladder. I live in the country and have about 30 hoses. It's been perplexing me how to manage them. No more, I'm good so thanks again.
Ana, I love this easy way to organize my garden tools! Thank you for all your different design projects for making our own projects for what works for different projects!👍
That’s exactly what I was looking for, your design maximizes storage and minimizes space! Previously I was just hanging my shovels and rakes on screws driven into the walls. Was never happy with that “system” as my tools were just randomly all over the place. This is obviously the way to go!
I've been thinking for weeks how to make a simple tool rack to attach to the back and side of my sheds. This is perfect! Cheap, easy and neat. Love it! I'll make this tomorrow. I have tons of extra 2x4s on hand and 3in screws so I don't have to buy anything. 5-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You guys are my new favorite subscription. All I know is my wife better not find you. Or my honey do list will never end LOL. Thanks for sharing your DIY ideas.
Ana, this is great. I'm 63 and single - energy is low. My front and side porches have become homes for so many tools because I don't have the energy to go to the garage, get them out, do the project and take the tools back to the garage. For the past couple of years, I have been thinking about how to build a couple of shallow tool sheds beside these porches, or even on the edge of the big porch. I'd love to put something like this into some simple tool sheds on the side of my porches to keep the tools out of the weather. I have very little construction experience, but lots of tools. Do you have any plans for small tool sheds? My neighbors would be grateful!
Ana White Cannot wait! My poor plastic shed bit the dust with the last bad wind storm we had....been looking at the premade ones and they are made of pure crap and very $$$. Love all the cool ideas you have! ❤️🤘🏻☮️❤️

Seriously!? That simple! I so overthought mine! And overspent! Love this!
Me too!!. Love the simplicity
Thanks . Great idea. I just completed it in 30 minutes. I have built front door chair, bench , planter as well. People say i am a pro.. but they dont know i am just learning from your amazing videos and plans.
Simple, useful, elegant, and cheap. I usually just store my tools where I abandon them in the yard, but this looks like a much better alternative.
I have found personally, that my bad habit of dropping rakes, shovels, and those of a similar ilk, was becoming hazardous to my health! I have a doo-hickey to put some things away but it's not as under control yet.

damn autocorrect - and youtube won't let me edit my own comment??? Anyhoo, that's RUST, not rush
Ana is a genius with her designs that are so accessible and adaptable to fit whatever your needs.
Less than a min in, I already shared it with my boyfriend! So tired of tripping over his tool stack in the garage! TYFS Ana!!! 💘💘💘
I just made this! It IS so satisfying when it’s done! It has a lot more capacity with stacking than I imagined. Thank you so much!
Wonderful!
You have the smarticle particle. Ingenious. Thanks for sharing.
Ha! Love this!
I was in need of a garden tool rack...then I came across your video. Simple to build & customize for your space. Nice work.
I’ve been “racking” 😂 my brain on how best to store my garden tools for a while now, & you just solve it so simply. Awesome & thank you!
I'm so glad!
This is actually brilliant. Stacking like tools together in a simple system. Thank you for this video.
My pleasure, happy to help!
The best one of these yard tool organizers I’ve seen! I will definitely make. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
I saw this video last night, and HAD to build this in my garage. So I woke up today and in less than an hour put it all together. Thanks for the idea!
I made this. Super easy and turned out better than I expected. Thanks Ana!
Fantastic!
I made this today. What a great simple project that takes care of all my garden tools. I added an "arm" to attach all my vice grips.
Awesome!!!
@@AnaWhiteDIY Forgot to mention I ripped a 1/2" off the arm for the tools w handles, so they would slide on/off easier.

Thanks Ana, for a simple but great idea. I'm building this one. Still working on another one of yours too.
Thanks gravity!

love it, sheds can be a nuisance to sweep clean with stuff all over the place.

I love stuff like this. You've got a great thing going. Thanks a lot for the video.

Absolutely what I was looking for! Perfect!! Thank You!
What an awesome project. Quick question tho...How will this hold up against weight? Can you only put a couple pieces of equipment on there?
Great idea. Any thought or plans for tool storage for open studs? Trying to figure out a way to utilize the dead space between the studs.
Another great easy project. You’re the best.

Thank you so much for an amazing & $$ saving diy project.
Can you pls suggest what's the nail size I should be using to connect to dry wall/stud?
