      There are many ways to teach, and each individual has a learning style they respond to best. Maybe Jack takes pride in feeling he has worked things out for himself to an extent. I'm sure yours has been successful but learning isn't a one size fits all process, he certainly looked like the handshake was a source of pride for him

      @Clayton Bigsby normally I agree. The look on his face when his dad gave him a non answer said it all. When it comes to a potential life safety issue, I will answer any question and discuss his plan and make sure he understands every angle as best as I can. I'm also an EMT instructor and I use the same philosophy in my classes. My students 1st time pass rates are above the national average.

    Studies have shown twisting chains severely diminishes the effectiveness of the chains. In the event of hitch separation, Instead of relying of the tensile strength alone, it applies excessive torque along with the tensile forces and will cause the links to fail. Might not be 100% applicable here, but as a general rule it is ill advised.

    • @martyvanord984
      @martyvanord984 3 роки тому +1

      So this begs the question of how far can the chain drag before it is shot?

    • @cincybeck
      @cincybeck 3 роки тому

      We're told not to twist the chains at my work. So I use a 12" zip tie to suspend the midpoint of the chains near the ball, to keep them from dragging. Work supplies the zipties and I don't tow every day, so it's whatever. If it was my personal I would probably look at something like gearties or cheap aluminum carabiners to take up the slack, so not to waste the zipties.

    There's is no manual or a how to be a father or raise a child but I got to handed to you. From a father to another father you're doing a great job in my opinion. Now a day's unfortunately children are either growing up without a father or mother. I believe being a father or a mother doesn't necessarily mean you only have to be one to your own children. If we can make a difference in a child's life then do it! Always help and teach others what you know, especially children. But always help and teach anyone willing to learn, teenagers, young adults and yes, even other adults regardless of age. Thank you for posting these videos up and sharing, teaching and educating us. May God bless you and your family.

There is a bittersweet note in your last few videos, and I think you are realizing he is almost grown, just as I am with my daughter. When small you show them, answer there questions, and cause them to think. Then you let them do for them selves. Both have expressed to me that they believe they are not afraid to make mistakes now as they work because they have learned by doing . They are glad i taught them the way i did.
