Cheers mate. Yeah defs. The closer I get the longer the job list gets haha. But finishing the wiring was a massive task. The rest is just small shit compared to that. 👍

    Looking good!!
Because you have the rear supported under the diff you still have ride height even in the air so you can still get accurate measurements. Would only be an issue if rear stands were under the body and diff was down at full extension.

Trying to wrap my head around it. So what if my driveway was on a 45 degree steep angle? (There is a slight decline there). Wouldn’t matter because all measurements are relevant to each other? Cheers mate.

@mick6485 thanks for that mate. I think the gearbox needs to be shimmed up a little. I’ll have another look at it. Cheers mate. Looking forward to driving it again 👍

Well done mate. Don’t get too fussed with the angle of the dangle. ……most people don’t even start a project…let alone finish it. Reading about everything is good…..but also bad! You are at the point of …..get the count on the road!!!!!

The contacts in that switch are filthy clean them up and check again

Yeah I figured that. There was a bit going on behind the scenes. That switch that I fitted was a second hand switch that I bought. Apparently it had been tested as working fine. The switch that you see the contacts on isn’t the switch I fitted in the end because the back plastic off my original switch broke when trying to put it all together. But the contacts on that second switch must be filthy inside too. Frustrating.

@@htmonaroamateurbuild9267 Over time you get oxidisation which adds to a high resistance connection. An old trick I use to do is get one of those rubbers(eraser) with the pen rubber at one end and the pencil at the other and rub the pen rubber over it. Little bit more abrasive without removing contact material, or very little. Works a treat. If the contacts are really bad a bit of metho and some material over a pen end should help remove residue as well. The blunt end not the sharp end. You don't want to scratch the contact surface.
