The sadness of this trolley’s predicament was almost unbearable. Then it was lovingly taken in, cared for, and restored into a thing of beauty with a happy purpose and dignity!
We all appreciate that you don’t delete the less than stellar results, ie: the epoxy resin. That right there was a huge red flag to me..if Jay had trouble , just DON’T! 🤣🤣🤣. But seriously, you never give up and you always have spectacular results. Love your channel.
Very handsome, Jay! ~Valuable for us to see you take risks & show learning through trials & finding solutions. The brass & design coloring is beautiful 🎉 The casters are cute 🥰.
One can write 5 pages on this piece! It was trash and you made it GORGEOUS! The final result is amazing! The brass details are awesome! Your idea to poor resin was genius and you are going to nail it on a future project! The gold spray color was off... it didn't match the brass and thankfully the resin application failed and the new shelves are PERFECT! The casters and the knobs are so beautiful! This is a piece that has so many elements to catch the eye and yet nothing is exaggerated or unnecessary! WONDERFUL RESTORATION - MAKEOVER! Thanks so much for sharing
Love the sweet little tea trolley. I’m 74 and not in great health or I’d be checking out piles on side of road. My vintage lady friend and I do go to thrift stores and flea markets when possible. We’re just 2 vintage ladies keeping busy flipping furniture for ourselves and family and friends. Thanks for sharing 👍😃💕
Your feline fans are gorgeous! I’m always fascinated with projects people make/restore. Your work is always super nice! ❤️😊🇨🇦. On the video the stain looks like a golden oak. Very pretty and I love mid century!
It is always a joy when you and David promote each others channel 😊😊 I loved what he did with his cabinet, it was a great deal of work with a fantastic result ! Your restoration and embellishment of the tea trolley is outstanding and a work of art !! Can't wait for your next video. 😊 Cheers from the Finger Lakes of NY, USA. 🍷 🍷
Oh, jeez, it wasn’t even a whole piece of furniture to begin with and you turned it into a piece of art! It’s fabulous! Both of you guys made stunning creations.
The floofs of the neighborhood are always a delight to see. What are you going to do with those two unused pieces? If you fix the epoxy they'd make pretty serving trays to match, or another trolley, or maybe just art? They're too pretty to just ditch.
Who would believe that a piece of junk found on a dump could be turned into something so stylish and elegant. Well, knowing you can do it is the proof in and of itself. Such attention to detail and design restoration is a pleasure to watch. Awesome job! :)
Such a beautiful transformation! You turned this plain, broken little cart into a gem with personality. It will look great in its new home and will hopefully live many more useful years.
About the restoration: Excellent work as ALWAYS. I actually wouldn't mind having a table like that :) However, I want to say that I am THRILLED that you and David have formed a friendship and collaborate and challenge each other. I now look forward to each of your videos, and when either of you make a guest appearance in the other's video, it is just pure video gold.
Love the designs. I grew up in the 60's, 70's, and I remember that type of design's on almost everything. You did a great job as always :) Thank you for all your hard work! Always a pleasure! God Bless You friend. Rebekah.
I'm still amazed by your continued and constant common denominator. Your attention to detail. Your quest for perfection. Your commentary continue to grow and improve. You teach as well as entertain. Again, well done Sir 👏
Jay, I am glad to have found your channel! I appreciate the organization and vibe of your cozy workshop. I will think of you as I am finally going to create my own space to work on projects. I only wish I had the lovely sunlight access! You seem a delightful and gentle person.
It’s just amazing to me how you can take a piece bound for the landfill and turn it into something beautiful again. Another outstanding transformation. It is a testimony to your creative vision and a skill that not everyone has. Bravo.
I always look forward to seeing just how you're going to revitalise a piece of old or damaged furniture. This was worth it in the end, the final pictures are a testament to that. I love your videos. ❤❤❤
The trolley turned out very nice! I like the final colors of the levels & inside of the drawer best. Nice contrast with the brass & very pretty!😻 The resin not working out was lame, but at least you gained some experience & can try again later!😺 Great job again, Jay! Can't wait for the next one! 😸
*BRILLIANT, JAY❣️ L🤎VE the addition of the brushed brass trim and the all-brass casters...so much more attractive 🥰 than the previous huge black and clear rubber casters! 😔 MCM is not my style, but this Tea Trolly is GORGEOUS, and I would be so proud to have it in my home❣️😘💋🥰🤎 The gold wax and lacquer with the MCM designs on the shelves MAKE this Tea Trolley a STATEMENT PIECE‼️ Jay, I hope you finish adding the resin to the two original shelves - and when dry, add fine round brass rails on all sides joined in the corners to create and use as serving trays - selling them as a Set with the Tea Trolley. 😊😉🤎*
The tea cart is beautiful! As someone who works with that kind of resin a lot, you have to get it fairly thick to keep it from dimpling. Brush it on if you want, but it actually works better if you pour it on in the middle, and brush it out to the edges. You will need to tape the edges on the back to keep it from collecting there, and elevate it a few inches off the table.❤️🐝🤗
OK Jay that’s it, I’ve decided you have to come to Melbourne, Australia, on a working holiday so I can buy one of your works of art. Let us know when you’ve booked your ticket😎😂😂
I've had some success using PR with a smooth roller but it still required a lot of tilting. Think it's down to practice and developing your own style. Absolutely love this , the colour , the laser design and the brass . Definitely going to try that oil . Thanks for sharing
You are my favorite restorer. I never fast forward through your videos. And that's saying something. I love your attitude, your voice, and your amazing skill. Your darling treatment of your loyal cat neighbors is wonderful. Thank you for your videos. I love them.
Hi Jay ! Very very nice work. Once again very artistic, excellent taste. Beautiful details with with the brass inlaid trims , handle & casters , matched with the gilding wax. From trash to treasure. Excellent work ! Great tutorial & commentary. Thank you 💗🙏🏽💗
Jay, I'm beyond honored to have my comment pinned. Thes was no need for that.... I wanted to drop it during the chat (not to show off) but, to hopefully spark some of that engagement. It's worth every penny for me to share what I can when I can to someone that provides me quality & ENJOYABLE videos to help me decompress a few times a month. Hoping all is well my friend, Dirty Jersey out!!
"Hi Jay's beautiful people!" LOL I love it! Your trolley looks crazy good! ❤ The kitties! The brass unicorn was a nice touch 🤣 You must know Barry from Mad City Modern... I love watching you all! David and Daisy are cute, but the kitties got my heart.
I think this is my favorite of all your projects. That garbage-dump tea trolly looked good for nothing but kindling. What a marvelous MCM trolly you turned it into. I want it!!!
Stellar job on this one; such a dramatic restoration! It looked like such an insignificant piece, barely worthy of a second glance. But now it's a beautiful, sophisticated and classy.
I missed the live but, you're still AWESOME!!!
Mike, you’re too kind mate! Thank you as always 💛💛💛 fortunately the video is there so you can watch it anytime 😉. Have an awesome weekend mate.
Es muy agradable ver como restauas muebles y les das una nueva vida😊

A stunning piece. Bravo!

Simple yet elegant.
One persons trash is Jay's treasure.

Thanks for that🧡
That finish inside the drawer is luscious.
Very handsome, Jay! ~Valuable for us to see you take risks & show learning through trials & finding solutions. The brass & design coloring is beautiful 🎉 The casters are cute 🥰.
The three piece one looks like a smiley face
The guilding wax is definitely better for this project. I absolutely LOVE the way all of the brass looks with the two wood tones you used.
Thanks!
Love your work, very inspirational 🙌
Thank you beautiful person 💛

This Tea Trolley will definitely get some Tender Loving Attention from a master furniture repair man Jay.
😻
Gilding wax is definitely the way to go - sooo beautiful!!!
Even a “small” project comes out gorgeous by you, as always!
That looks snazzy. (A mid-century modern term for "cool", courtesy of my old Dad).
I love the warm caramel colors, just the right amount of contrast, plus bling.
I love the brass touches, with matching wheels! Just stunning as always. Definitely trash to treasure.
I love the way when you don't quite like the result you just do the whole thing over.
It is always a joy when you and David promote each others channel 😊😊 I loved what he did with his cabinet, it was a great deal of work with a fantastic result ! Your restoration and embellishment of the tea trolley is outstanding and a work of art !! Can't wait for your next video. 😊

Thanks so much! 😊
Hi, I used to go to the Finger Lakes with my family as a child, awesome memories! I'm originally from Elmira, NY. Take care!
I love the you referenced David's work while showing the dovetail joints he is known for highlighting. ❤❤
Oh, jeez, it wasn’t even a whole piece of furniture to begin with and you turned it into a piece of art! It’s fabulous! Both of you guys made stunning creations.
Thank you ❤️
Looks like star fleet symbol.
My thought also.
Same. Star Trek badge!
Pienso igual que vosotros
Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.
Tea. Iced-lemon, no sugar!😉
Needs two more levels for the cakes and pastries 😋🇨🇦

Excellent, beautiful restoration. I especially like the casters you chose.
Such a beautiful transformation! You turned this plain, broken little cart into a gem with personality. It will look great in its new home and will hopefully live many more useful years.
Nice! Very mid century modern.
This transformation is fantastic!! You did a wonderful job restoring that sad, broken little tea trolley. I love the results!!! ❤

Love the mid century modern design.
Engravings were nice touch to make something rather insignificant into a lovely piece
Now it’s time for a hot cup of tea on a beautiful tea cart. Very beautiful. Joyce❤️🙏🇺🇸

Thank you and yes I will use the resin shelves for something , not sure what yet.
I like the top design best. Lovely finished project. Nice that the pieces were not attached so it was a simple do-over. And that cat is stunning!
😻

It speaks well of you that the neighborhood cats seek you out!
Thanks 🙃
As usual, you have virtually made a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Brilliant.
That piece is stunning!! The designs took this tea table over the top. Amazing!!
OK Jay that’s it, I’ve decided you have to come to Melbourne, Australia, on a working holiday so I can buy one of your works of art. Let us know when you’ve booked your ticket😎😂😂

I have to say I prefer the design without the spray paint but it’s very nice very nice❤
May it live long and prosper 🖖😊

Thanks
Thank you beautiful person 💛
Very 60’s. I like it.
I just love your design style, another beautiful piece of furniture from what was junk. Brilliant
ALL THE BRASS!!! Although it required a re-do, the way the shelves came out in the end is much better. Whoever gets this is lucky!
Thanks ;-) Gave it away for free
Lovely as always!!! ❤❤❤
From trash to treasure! Gorgeous!!!
What a lovely piece. Well done!
Stellar job on this one; such a dramatic restoration! It looked like such an insignificant piece, barely worthy of a second glance. But now it's a beautiful, sophisticated and classy.
I have watched other restoration channels, and the way you approach your work with as less chemicals is the right environmental choice. Good on you.
Final results are fantastic. Love your woodshop.
Stunning, special and amazing! You always do such lovely work.
So beautiful!
Once more! Great job! Beautiful! I loved the resin ones! Dimples and all! Beautiful!
Sorry I missed the live bad day/night.
