to me, Avatar is an anime, elitists just want to say "it's not Japanese, so it isnt Anime." yet every inspiration from Avatar came from Japan, as well as the rest of Asia, the Fire Nation is literally Japan.
@@UltimateGamerCC which is hilarious because when you put "Is Avatar an Anime" in Google Search (for shits and giggles), it literally says at the top it is NOT an anime lol It's anime influenced but not created in Japan. It's also not entered solely around Japanese culture, because it also blends Chinese, Korean, and Thai elements as well, ie from the culture all the way to the bending/fighting styles. Therefore, not an anime.

Oh and a sequel to Kids Next Door, like what they did for Rugrats with All Grown Up, seen fan art of what they would look like as teenagers and tbh who wouldn't want to find out what they do after they retire from the KND, will they stay friends or drift apart? I WANNA KNOW!
to me, Avatar is an anime, elitists just want to say "it's not Japanese, so it isnt Anime." yet every inspiration from Avatar came from Japan, as well as the rest of Asia, the Fire Nation is literally Japan.
@@UltimateGamerCC which is hilarious because when you put "Is Avatar an Anime" in Google Search (for shits and giggles), it literally says at the top it is NOT an anime lol
It's anime influenced but not created in Japan. It's also not entered solely around Japanese culture, because it also blends Chinese, Korean, and Thai elements as well, ie from the culture all the way to the bending/fighting styles. Therefore, not an anime.
@@UltimateGamerCC for me, if the original dub is not Japanese, then it's not anime regardless the animation and inspiration
I’m glad “SpongeBob Squarepants” made the list.😊 I could quote “Band Geeks” all day!😉
Not a bad list WatchMojo. But there are more then 10 animated series worth watching, including:
Bucky O'Hare & The Toad Wars! (1991)
Dexter's Laboratory (1996-2003)
Ed, Edd n Eddy (1999-2009)
The Flintstones (1960-1966)
Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends (2004-2009)
Megas XLR (2004-2005)
The Powerpuff Girls (1998-2005)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (2008-2009)
Todd McFarlane's Spawn (1997-1999)
X-Men: The Animated Series (1992-1997)
Man I miss the early 2000s and 2010s. Those were the golden days of cartoons.
Good ones though. 👍
you missed out the 90's ... some good cartoons there too
Courage the Cowardly Dog and Recess School time was my favourite
Netflix made a lot of must watch animated shows I recommend to everyone. Definitely Hilda, She Ra and Kid Cosmic as they have heart and amazing characters.
Can we just appreciate the fact, that Mark Hamill is in both Top 2 entries?
Avatar, Ben 10, Batman series, Spectacular Spiderman, Tom and Jerry and Scooby Doo where are you these are my favourite and Justice League Unlimited too. I'm glad I was born in the 2000s and watched them on TV.
Ben 10 was the shit back then and honestly an underrated but great show. Still love it and enjoy it as an adult.
I never found Ben 10 that great...
@@snnnaaaaaakeeeee4470 We meant the original show, not the reboot.
@@joemiller5119 I know. I liked the original as a kid but looking back it doesn't really hold up compared to many other animated shows.
@@snnnaaaaaakeeeee4470 I recently rewatched it recently and It actually does hold up quite well honestly in my opinion. I found some of the themes from that show relatable and reach out to me as an adult, it does get much more mature though by the time Alien Force comes along. Sure it definitely isn't as good as let's say Avatar or Batman: TAS, but I think it still has some magic left as of now.
Batman the Animated Series. You could do worse than the DEFINITIVE Batman, Joker, Bullock, Harley Quinn, Mr. Freeze, and Two-Face.
Star Wars:Clone Wars is one of the coolest, best and iconic animation series of Star Wars ever and I like all the battle scenes in different episodes and seasons
Yeah
Facts I’m currently rewatching it and you’re not wrong
The Powerpuff Girls,Ben 10,Tom And Jerry Franchise, and Phineas And Ferb Should Have Been On This List
Invincible hasn't even aired 1 season but I feel it should be here already
Yeah that show is insanely awesome
😆
For real though, the animation and plot looks pretty good, I want to see it for myself. The one issue I have is that I can't get used to animated blood spewing everywhere when it is supposed to be a Heroes show. 😓
@@Angelo_Dimarc0 I know, it was jarring at first for me too but I got used to the blood. It's so contrasting with the general colourful nature of the show itself.
The show is good do far. The only thing is the animators can't animate the characters walking. They look odd walking it doesn't go with the background , they look like they are floating not grounded.

Avatar is a masterpiece to the cartoon family 😎
@Itachi Is superior to youoh boy another one of these guys lmao..... please tell us all how ATLA is a ripoff of Naruto so I can tell you how wrong you are.
@Itachi Is superior to you man get a life. I love naruto but I am not a jerk.
@Itachi Is Invincible wrong wrong and even more wrong but ok
Spider-Man, Ducktails, The Raccoons, Thunder cats, Mask Crusaders, Jason and the wheeled warriors, Biker Mice from Mars, Transformers, Ulysses and more. No wonder the woman speaking sounded disinterested in this, total balls.
The Simpsons is the coolest, funniest and incredible animation serie in all the time and is a masterpiece of Matt Groening and the Simpsons predicted the future many times
Futurama is better.
@@stv0036 Nah classic Simpsons owns it
@@snnnaaaaaakeeeee4470 They Predicted nothing you can't predict the future all the did was make a joke

I was replying to the first comment sorry about that
1: Rugrats
2: Batman Animated Series (DCAU)
3: Scooby Doo
4: Looney Tunes
5: Hey Arnold
6: Animaniacs
7:Ed Edd N Eddy
8: Spongebob
9: Powerpuff Girls
10: Spiderman Animated Series and X-Men
I enjoyed the first few seasons of Spongebob Squarepants but haven't watched lately. I loved Regular Show as it felt like an adult show mixed with humor and Rigby and Mordecai are always getting into trouble. Plus the voice acting is amazing.
I think Dexter's Laboratory (1996-2003) & Sonic X (2003-2006) are both awesome.
Regular Show, Steven Universe, The Boondocks, Xmen Evolution, Rugrats, Spectacular Spiderman.
6:41 Since no Scooby cartoon has gone longer than 52 episodes, it’s very easy to traverse. If you watched every DTV movie you’d probably get a running time just as long
this is my life of top 10 cartoons everyone needs to watch once:
1. Rugrats
2. Recess
3. Kim Possible
4. Looney Tunes
5. Scooby Doo
6. Tom and Jerry
7. Powerpuff Girls
8. Dexter's Laboratory
9. Spongebob
10. The Simpsons
Avatar definitely deserves the top spot on a list like this. Anyone who clicked on this video and has not yet seen it should get to Netflix ASAP and watch it.
You forgot Peter Rabbit (2012-2016) and Ruff Ruffman (2006-2010, 2014-2017, 2020-Present)!
Such underrated and overlooked series!
no mention of _Gargoyles_ ?
Damn, WatchMojo ...
You had to make a top 20 list to include Thundercats, Spiderman t.a.s., X-Men t.a.s., M.O.T.U , The Smurfs and of course Ducktales
Nobody forgets Batman:Beyond the awesome, incredible and best animation series of Batman in all the time, the battle scenes are cool and awesome and is based in the comics of Batman beyond
Dcau(the series universe) as a whole is a masterpiece.

These are my Favorite Best Superhero Cartoons ever
BoJack should be MUCH higher than the last honorable mention! That was the first cartoon I thought of because it feels like it's so much more than "just a cartoon", it transcends that genre with it's adult drama.
Agreed
Scooby-Doo, Batman and Avatar the last Airbender are my favorite favorites! :) Loony Tunes also. :)
Top 10 Anime that everyone needs to see at least once
These are EXCELLENT pics! I have rarely watched a top list and agreed so thoroughly.
My family members love, "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and that takes the cake
No Digimon, Transformers, The Wild Thornberrys, X-Men the Animated Series, MLP FiM, etc even as Honorable Mentions?
Avatar the last airbender is my all time favourite.🥰😍❤
Transformers Beast Wars still holds up very well to this day. Despite it being early CG animation, the excellent writing and amazing characters will keep you invested! If you don’t care for Transformers, well ... that’s just prime.
Reboot, and Transformers: Beast Wars were both f*ing awesome. Probably the first full CGI tv shows.
Mystery Incorporated was arguably the best Iteration of Scooby Doo
I enjoyed the Thundercats. Especially the intro. Spectacular spiderman was another gem. Transformers was also pretty sweet.
The more recent looney toons show is great. My 6 year old autistic daughter watches it every single day and somehow it’s short run of 4 seasons never gets old to me
Take it from someone with experience with austism, get her some of the old videogames (Gamecube, N64) like Zelda, Paper mario the final fantasies. Reading and English can be hard but I was lucky to be born with an older brother in the years games became popularized but still mostly text based. It gives her a fun hobby something entertaining and interactive for mom and dad to play with her. From my brother I didn't go to school with a handicap but a third grade comprehension
@@hcook1023 thanks for the advise but she’s very low functioning and slightly verbal but I could see in 4 or 5 years her being really into games. She can do a 100 piece puzzle in 20 minutes. She’s very smart but has a hard time expressing herself and getting out what she wants to say
@@danemassie3750 most games are actually pretty repetitive and easy to get lost in the habit, so they may be good to look into. I know there are psychologists doing studies on them, even my own college had a couple doctorate thesises when I was there. Although I do understand each case is different, I was only in the middle range at worst and managed to transition to the upper range by my teenage years, there was actually a time would wake up at 5 am listen to music in the dark with a flashlight while humming until somebody else woke up for breakfast.
1. Avatar: The Last Airbender
2. Star Wars The Clone Wars
3. The Batman (2004)
4. TMNT 2003 and 2012
I had a feeling Bojaack Horseman would be on this list.
Tiny Toon Adventures - Next generation of Looney Tunes with the same great humor!
DuckTales (2017-2021) - An excellent reboot that contains separate arc-stories into one big mystery!
"My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"
Pretty good list... if you forget Superman the animated series, Batman Beyond, Justice League the animated series, the og Ben 10 to Omniverse, STEVEN UNIVERSE, AND REGULAR SHOW (which I assume is as iconic as Adventure Time)!!!!!
Come to think of it, they could have mentioned Superman, Batman, Batman Beyond, and Justice League all together since it all ties together for a spectacular DC animated. series.
Young justice should be an honorable mention
That show was kinda boring to me, not gonna lie.
My Favorites are,
1. Thundercats
2. Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes
3. Justice League unlimited
4. Avengers Assemble
5. Batman the animation s.
6. Scooby doo
7. The Flintstones
8. Ninja Hattori
9. Ninja Turtles
10. Simpsons
avengers assemble sucked hard man
Ben 10: *am I a joke to you?*
I had enough of Watchmojo making him a joke, that show is too underrated and it doesn't get as much recognition in pop culture. I wished it was equal to ATLA in terms of worldbuilding, characters, and concept which it has.
Wow! How could Rugrats not be on this list!?
Um, Archer called, he said he at least deserved an Honorable Mention.

X-Men The animated series should be in this list because is the best, awesome and coolest animation series of X-Men in the universe of Marvel in all the time and is the coolest and iconic animation series of the year 90s
The only version of the phoenix saga that was good.
I am just glad that I have many of these shows in my library along with a few others like the OG Tom and Jerry episodes, Clone Wars 2003 and 2008 series, Star Wars Rebels, Superman TAS, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, Batman Beyond, and many more. Let’s face it, from the beginning of 1989 to today’s tv we have watched these shows that have been listed and honorably mentioned because it was entertaining and awesome.
'South Park', still one of the best damn animated TV shows made for older adolescents and adults alike.
Obviously #1 is no surprise. It’s my favorite TV show and the best cartoon out there. I also love the Simpsons, Batman the animated series, and so much more.
The Simpsons may be the most significant show in my life.
GREAT List. The #1 Avatar was a shock... but I can't hate the selection. All of the 10's and honorable mentions are awesome.
Where’s Ben 10 classic?
Idk they didn’t put it
It should've been on the list honestly, it's too underrated.
Best show of my childhood, shame they didn’t put it in, in fact imma go re-watch it rn
@@holty1314 Had rewatched it, it holds up quite well. Watch every series minus the reboot.

2. Daria
3. Chip n Dale's rescue rangers
4. Ghostbusters
5. Beetlejuice
6. Gi Joe's
7. WWF superstars
8. Ducktales
9. Tmnt (old school)

Damn there's a whole lot more of 90's and 2000's cartoon from both nickelodeon & cartoon network, marvel & DC, WB kids and probably fox kids (maybe).
The Looney Tunes franchise is the funniest, hilarious and awesome animation franchise ever of Warner Bros. in all the time and I can’t wait to see Space Jam 2
