Something that might be notable is that the checker-patterned "corruption" bears some resemblance to the pink and black checker-patterned texture that appears in Source Engine games when a texture is broken or missing.
I interpreted the princess as being someone besides the dreamer, likely the "kind of person you don't really wanna hang out with" that the final narrator mentioned. Maybe they were a former lover or friend the dreamer knew but something happened between them that sent the dreamer into the state they're in in the first place. It would conveniently explain why the butlers and castle are in such miserable shape. Good video by the way. I totally agree that the Empty Bailey's music is sublime.
This game needs to be on the switch!!!! I recently just discovered this game and I'm surprised how amazing it! And I am more surprised it's not even on the switch yet
As a coral ecologist, my dreams are full of sea life that once was... before the changing climate undone such paradise in reality. I'd like to think if Sybil were to inhabit my dreams, she'll finally get to see an ocean. An ocean that no longer exists.
Yoooo I just got recommended this video, wanted to know the story about the game, finished satisfied! (Very informative video and I also liked the editing too. I was wondering if you had a discord server I could join 🥺)
Glad to hear you enjoyed the video! Unfortunately I don't have a discord server for fans/subscribers to join and chat. If I will ever set it up, then I will inform everyone about it in a future video or post.
@@janmark1183 A lot of pll calls it a sword on yt, and tonfa was never really popular type of weapon. Also, irl a double handled tonfa would be a terrible design. Also also, I like your interpretation of who Sybil is.
@@McSenkel If I think about about it the concept makes more sense now. The weapon should be viewed as tonfa and not as a sword because it delines much better the concept of neutralizing/purifying the dream world of its evil and not as a weapon of destruction. Thanks again for this comment!
First time hearing about Bunjigai. From the looks of it they have similar graphics, but Bunjigai has a more fleshed about story compared to Pseudoregalia
Thanks for stopping by and watching the video! I suppose it would be time for me to invest in a better microphone for recording my voice. Right now using the one from my gaming headset. If you have any suggestions I will gladly listen.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing while playing the game for the first time. Don't know why I didn't mention it in the video
I need a pseudoregalia 2 or some sort of sequel

@@BugBoss1205 thank you for sharing your interpretation of game (always love to read them)! Glad that you enjoyed the video too.
Excellent overview of the game and its story. It is one of those indie gems that really deserves all the love it can get. Thank you for covering it.
It truly is a hidden gem of an indie game. Lets hope more people discover it and enjoy it.
Dam the old school psp vibes/nostalgia

That's not a mix of sword and cross, that's a tonfa in a form of a cross.
Don't know how I didn't think about

Thank you for watching the video! Menas a lot to me
Reminds me of Bunjigai

Nice video, though the audio levels are rough, many times sound effects obscure your own voice. Hopefully you can resolve that for future videos :)

Why is there a random good kids song playing round 14:28? Good videos it's just that through me off
Oh thats because I usually listen to music while video editing, looks like I forgot to turn it off when recording 😭
Can you read the book about musical theorey while insane from the cook book and see if the dialogue changes
@@rubyblooddemonking Just tested it out and unfortunately the dialogue doesn't change. Would have been cool though not gonna lie
@@janmark1183 dang. Well it was worth a shot. Thanks for testing it out!
