This is what I’ve been looking for. An affordable sidechain plugin with an easy interface. I’ve checked out Lfotool, volumeshaper, ducker, but this is the best for me. Great video btw!
Can do exact same thing with fl peak controller and parametric eq, intact its better cause you can choose any frequency and use it to make your snares cut through the mix too...
i just usually create an automation clip on an eq or fruity balance dont need to pay for plugins to sidechain you can draw your clip to the waveform of your kick
This beat is fucking sick. So smooth and clean and the 808's are going crazy but I don't feel it gets in the way of the artists being so wild which is surprising. That's proper spot selection.

I like this plugin 'Kickstart 2' but I will also love to know what else does it do excluding making a kick and 808 seat well on the mix. Idk if it's better or worse, but could you just add a peak controller to the 'Kick' channel and add Parametric EQ 2 to the '808' channel, and just link the 1st band in EQ 2 to the peak controller? That's what I do and have seen other people do the same thing. Like I said, idk if that technique is better or worse, because I dont like side chaining the kick and 808 together 😬
Hey Jay. Is it possible that you're using your microphone incorrectly? I think you have to speak directly from the front to get rich warm sound, which this mic Is known for. Nice vid. btw
