I don’t know why the spinz is so popular. I find it to be one of the most annoying 808s to mix. I always have kicks in my song and the spinz clashes with like 80% of kicks even with sidechain
Arturia has one called "Dist TUBE-CULTURE" (I don't think it sounds the same) and I think there's another one by another company called Sculptube, but I've never used that one.
Idk if this is covered in the video but heres some things I do: 1. In the q-sampler make sure the flex and follow tempo are turned on. 2. Make sure theyre in mono 3. Make sure your kick and 808 are in phase. 4. Sidechain your 808 to your kick 5. Use fade in the qsamplers, fade in the knock on the 808 and fade out the transient on your kick. 6. Mix in mono and prioritize kick and 808. 7. Phat effects, light saturation. Bit crusher push the drive and choose which frequency you want to ampkify. 8. Low shelf cut on any instruemnt/track thats occupying 80hz or lower. These are things that helped me get the 808 to hit.
I think it would make a n interesting video if you looked into the production of back2bally on Lancey Fouxx’s newest album. Ballys mixes and overall quality is pretty unique and idk how he does it
TikTok and Saturated sounded the best out the gate. You didn't ask us to say which sounded the best but that's my opinion. If I had to choose only one from this list it would probably be the one titled saturation over the other ones.
All these hit records have the spinz 808 and they all don’t sound like they have saturation or distortion on but they are always hitting… any thoughts on that?
I got a question about mixing. When I buy my computer monitors such as KRK Rokits or Yamaha HS5, do I need to turn the decibel setting to zero to mixing the sound as flat as possible? Some producers who teach how to mix usually leave out that detail. Thanks!
@@busyworksbeats ok, thanks. I know a lot goes into getting the final output but I used to wonder why the sound would be different when I tried to burn the finished project to CD.

In my opinion, with 808s, that initial pitch drop is the key for any knock. If there’s no pitch drop, there’s nothing to enhance with a transient shaper.
Getting 808's to boom is easy. Getting them to boom while still having them tamed is the difficult task at hand!
OMG pass this to everybody with a DAW.
Cool
I’m new to FL studio, where do you get these other plug ins you’re using?
yo game, that 808 u call the yeat 808 is actually called the CTM (chasethemoney 808) he didnt make it tho
Can u tell me the name of ur headphone?

Have you ever Scored film? Can you do a video on that if you have any experience in that please
Game, do you know if Slate has an alternative to the UAD Culture Vulture?

@busyworksbeats thank you so much, man. I'm about to check these out, sounds like the last one might be the closest 🤞

And when you send this rough mix to mix engineers they probably duplicate bass/808 one for low, and one for harmonic/ textures type of.
Yo how do I rectify my 808s sounding only on one ear what could be the issue
Make the signal mono and center panned
Awesome video thank u 👑

If you find out please let me know
They just move all the instruments out of the way of the 808 as mentioned with critical bands.
its crazy that this vid has only 12k views this is so helpful
Thanks for the class bro!

Game I guess you could add punch by using a transient shaper
