Do the ghosts get sad when you give away their clothes?
Do they miss the ability to wear their favorite color?
Each word carries weight you said
Adjusting the trajectory of your life
one sentence at the time
Do the ghosts die little by little as you move on?
Is it possible to transform a person into an idea and remain human?
Maybe each silence carries weight as well
Do the ghosts haunt us or do we haunt them?
Do they watch the world leaving them behind like they never existed?
Do they even care?
Your friend,
your sister,
your parent,
or your child
Are unable to talk with you
Do they even have anything to say?
Do they owe you a final word?
they watch you as you grow up
they observe your tiny movements as you fall in love
and hold your hand when you need them to
Or at least these stories make the pain go away
When the skies above me spoke
I was told to listen
But for now, only stillness is kind to me
When the empty corridors seemed way too dark
I was told to believe in the light
But I only want to stare at you in the darkness
our words
our pauses
or our ideas
cannot make the ghosts sad
because the invisible don't need colors to be beautiful
And if I accept that
I might remain human
My dad died this month. I didn't know what this poem would be about but I am sobbing. Thank you for writing this. For sharing it with us.
It doesn't get easier, but the space around does fill up again, so one day it doesn't seem as big, al the time. So sorry for your loss, big hugs ❤🩹

Jeez. The idea that we haunt ghosts by forgetting them while they look on broke my heart. What a hell to live in. What a unique perspective. I'm sorry Dad. I miss you and love you.
Thank you for noticing my little idea
I lost my son when in 2016, to suicide,
after a 5 year long battle with first ADHD, Depression, then "Bipolar" then "schizoaffective disorder".
I am an RN and sought the best psychiatric help I could find, as I was trained(brainwashed)to believe.
But the medication only made him worse and worse, hence the progressive diagnoses.
The antipsychotics I encouraged him to take caused him to begin hearing the voices in his head and no doctor would help us wean him off them.
I watched my beautiful, vibrant sensitive amazingly creative, artistic son be destroyed before my eyes and go through literal Hell and I my own Hell helplessly witnessing it.
I unintentionally placed him in a prison,I quit work to keep him safe, tracking him down when he went for 15 mile walks at 3 a.m. because I was so afraid the police would harm him.
Even his psychosis was beautiful at times standing in the street singing in the rain or on the rooftop.
It's the way the world, and I at the time, viewed him with fear that was the problem.
My fear was for him, but the others, including family and the doctors who kept increasing doses were afraid of him.
If he had lived he would have found this outlet and made amazing content for UA-cam, he created movies and games and rudimentary video games (under mirage architect) and amazing drawings and paintings he put some on Deviant Art, one of his games was played on UA-cam by someone. But he died before all the technology and social media platforms were as readily available, which was after the medication began to l destroy his focus.
I think of him when I view your channel and how you are, a in a way, a continuation of his Spirit and am so grateful for your content.
I have struggled to remain human as I at times have had to redirect my attention of his memory and harden my heart at times due to overwhelming feelings of guilt for putting him on medications and being a warden.
I have discovered meditation, after stopping my own antidepressants at time of his death, and I now know that I could not have done anything differently with the knowledge I had at the time.
I have recently begun talking to him again, conjuring his memory.
I bought the house I now have because it has the attic room he always wanted.
It's my meditation room and has some of his art.
I went through a nihilistic phase during the isolation of the pandemic when all of my own negative voices in my head became louder.
I am now emerging, with the dawn of Spring, and just began speaking to him as if he were still present again this week.

You show me that it is possible for a beautiful, sensitive, intelligent, creative, artistic young man to thrive exploring the world as he is , instead of attempting to conform as I, in my conditioned ignorance, attempted to help my son do with medication.

I wonder if i be the ghost after i sleep but im still wake up from yet another failled attempt. I already wrote letter of goodbye and a poem to describe what i expirience i hope somone read it and understand what i'm going thru.for all people in the comment section know that i love you as a friend, i hope that you guys feel hapines and life. I hope you're not a ghost, since your unique existence adds so much. A certain philosopher once said that anyone's passing is the end of the world -- not the end of that one person's world, but the end of the shared world in which everyone lives. This is because when one person is gone, everything they could have given to others is also gone, and so the loss ripples. Do not end the world. I don't know what you're going through, but I know that there is much waiting for you in the future, even if you cannot see it right now.
