      The problem is that people keep recommending The Prophet. When I read that book, I thought that Khalil Gibran was overrated.

      Yet why, why must some of us feel too much sorrow for us not to see the light even when it's brightest? Why was there life when it would all go wrong, with only the few great moments we get? Why cannot we get what we wish, but what we fear?

    • @Suranjan_Malik
      @Suranjan_Malik 3 роки тому +3

      @@writingisfun9842 I think the fault lies within ourselves If we can not see the light even when we are in the light. And our lives sometimes give us hapiness as well as fears or sorrows. But, I think, we are too much affraid to count the pleasures and end up piling our experiences of sorrows. The feeling of fear is so greater that it makes us forget. But obviously there are people who are endowed with sorrows more than in general. Life is actually very mysterious and if any power we have , that is to find little happiness even when we are passing through sorrow.

    As music is a language without words, so is poetry a music of the heart expressed in words.
    Ever since l was a child l was drawn to it, particularly to those kind, with touch of sadness and melancholy. But as strange as it may sound, it brought me joy, instead of sadness, because in it l found jewels and treasures l never found in frivolous expressions of music or poetry ... When we enter realm of the quiet in deep thoughts, we find God's presence wooing us to Himself.
    Listening to the words of this poem was like hearing the thoughts of my own soul being read by mans voice. 🌸

    "I would rather die in desire and longing than live in exhaustion and despair."
    This statement embodies a profound philosophy of life. It emphasizes the value of aspiration, of striving for something better, even knowing that the path may be fraught with hardships. The "exhaustion and despair" are weighed against "desire and longing," affirming that a life fully lived with passion, even if imperfect, is more valuable than a stable life lacking in meaning. This is an optimistic and emotionally charged perspective, inspiring people to pursue a true life. I love it
