I wish I'd learned about this earlier in my life of wrenching on engines. I've yet to strip a screw while working on Japanese bikes and ATVs after getting a Vessel screwdriver set. I won't even attempt to work on them without the JIS #2 and #3 bits. Some of the very small screws for the handlebar controls and such call for the little #1 bit, but I'm always reaching for the #2 and occasionally the #3 for frame / body / plastics fasteners.
I bought one a few weeks ago for the infamous Honda brake rotor screws along with a 4 pound hammer 🔨… it is actually one of my favorite tools ⚒️. It took those screws without issue. Before that I’d have to spend at least 30min drilling them out.
I bought a couple Vessel impactas and another set of fourJIS drivers last year while working on my ‘75 Honda ct70, what a difference over regular philips. Rebuilt the engine so I replaced all the case screws as well, now they should stay good for another 46 years 😎
Holy balls. Usually you see this test done to show the superiority of Robertson. I don't think I've ever seen a screwdriver hang in like that. I'm buying Vessel JIS drivers and bits. Right. Now.

@@vikingnorm6935 yes! I have both the 2 and 3 impacta and they’re also amazing. Super useful
@@xrtgx22 Well you twisted my arm, ordering the #2 now lol
definitely a must have if you do carb work! Good video
That's a very interesting and compelling test. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching. I wish I knew about this years ago, could have saved a lot of headaches.

I picked up the impacta to work on an old mtb. A necessity if you work on pacific rim products. just get em
is the JIS screw only in the carburetor, are there any other parts in Japanese cars that require a JIS screwdriver to access? thanks man
You should do s video on yfz450 carb rebuild. Bought one of those screwdriversm
Wow that’s good information to know
Dis should be Taught/Trained in Schools...
JIS bit is in the Snap-On ratchet screwdriver
Phillips are PH2 and JIS are p.2 it's misread on the packaging.
Japanese. so wonderful
the vessel is magnetic lol
I stripped a screw but then guess what I did ? I grabbed my carlyle Vice grips and got it off! Hurray for me
It's funny I get attacked for any comment I make ,,good or bad,,so if you hate me stick the screw driver where you need it
