Funnily enough, in today's patch the suggested changes to lightning bolt and animation speed were added. Also, he mentioned that the whetstone should be once per combat instead of consumable
The reason the Bats heal is because the Vampire perk states "Heal any damage not blocked." Technically you didn't block the damage, you dodged it, so even though you didn't take damage the bat was still able to heal
@@SimonK91 It looks like a dodged attack still technically "hits," the dodge just sets the damage to 0. If I had to guess, the healing is probably an oversight and the game checks the amount of block to decide how much to heal, not the damage dealt. So even though the hit did 0 damage, none of it was "blocked" and the full heal amount goes through.
for duct tape, think of it like a bucket. everything adjacent to it throws a copy of itself in the bucket. those copies can't be heavy or cnductive or similar nor can they be activated, but otherwise all those things are all sitting in that one spot now. so fish sword touching one side and fish another means that in that spot are now 2 fish, and 1 is weapon...so anything else touching the other 2 sides that are affected by fish or weapons will receive those affects by 1 weapons worth or 2 fish worth. basically. there are some caveats and whatnot, but thats the simple way to think of it.
duct tape says it applies to adjacent items, 1 isn't worth much for things like fish, but multiples seem like they'd be insane(assuming that's even possible), since you can chain them together the first one is effectively useless, but in this specific setup +3 more duct tape would = 7 extra fish (2 per side, 1 for the endcap) for 14 extra damage, one could extend this even further depending on how gems actually apply to it while nearly impossible in practice without scrubbing it seems like you could actually abuse the properties of duct tape to fill basically everything that's not an armor/energy item with fish to make big number funny if gems apply...and depending on how they do one could potentially even double dip into some of them (like how do column buffs/gems affect duct tape? because in theory anyway that is broken)

I believe you could have also placed the conductor to apply it's effect twice also. If it touched both the duct tape and fish sword. I think your confusion came from the sword working on a diagonal but the tape only works with adjacent items.

Answer to both of you: The duck tape make it so that the sword is triggering on itself, applying +1 "adjacent/diagonal" fish, since the fish sword is adjacent to the duck tape, and that effect is passed on to the sword.

While you're in the discord, tell them to add a toggle function to items to make them Auto-Use. For example if you're using a whetstone or some other buff at the beginning of each turn, it would activate automatically. Could also toggle to Auto-Use-Repeat which for like mana doom rings would automatically spam it. Or maybe middle-click could be a Spam-Till-Expended button. Really I just want more options for automating the tedium lol.

Idk if they fixed this already but they should make it so when you give a relic to the trader you get another relic instead of some random accessory that way you at least have a chance of getting a useful relic

Hey Sifd, I’ve tried out the dueling sword, and it’s great for the early game. It deals 25 for 1 energy and refreshes for the next turn if an enemy attacks you, even if you block all damage.

Hey backpack hero veterans, I tried this game out on itch but i always get the tutorial and never the choices sifd gets in the start of his videos (max hp, archer, etc.). Do i need to beat the game once to get those choices or what am i missing?
25:30 Energy for curses accessory is THE BEST energy item, 5 spaces for 4 energy just need 4 small curses that do nothing (e.g curse of honey from small bee)
@@Daniel_45 no it's not trash because from floor 30 up to 100 particular fights can only last at most 2 turns otherwise poison kills you in one shot. But most importantly if you arrange 4 bracelets in a diamond and 5 small curses in an X shape (total 3x3 9 squares) you get 12 extra energy on turn 1
the fish sword is a fish so the duct tape takes the fish value and gives it back to the fish sword; therefore the duct tape on its own gives damage to the sword
wait so not only does the duck tape give more spaces to buff the fish sword with fish, but it makes it buff itself, that is AMAZING! Actually scratch that it takes 1 item space away and gives one space cause the corners aren't used..... still uno reversing itself onto the damage buff is hilarious
How did scratch build even works ? Aside from heavily buffing that claw ? I can't see any good prospect at all in scratch build 1:02:32 it was gold coins
From what I’ve gathered, rage. Every claw gets that bonus. And as Sifd said, you can use the pacifist’s ring because they’re not weapons. Still, there’s a whopping 2 items in the whole build. There needs to be something more.
@@gglanouille3060 I don’t think healing for 3 every hit is that good of an effect. I’m talking about something like “All accessories get this effect applied: When this item is used, gain 1 rage” with minor adjustments to the claw to make it work.
You can't use forge event to put rage into the gloves, at least previously. But I do had a somewhat arguably working gloves build with 3 gloves assisted with a whole lot of armor (got lucky, 3 gloves in two room stage 1, along with archangel armor in the shop floor one stage two) But got out DPS-ed really quickly

some enemies like the Muskrat brigand are cowardly, and will flee from battle if you kill all the other enemies that arent cowardly. if theres only cowardly enemies, then all of them will flee
The use all on 1 click has already been asked in the Backpack Hero discord and the dev responded. This was about 2 months ago by me because repetitive clicking is always a big no-no for me in any game. Well, still not a feature. I guess we need to go ask some more. (edit: I went and put it in the feedback on the discord already)
Another two run ideas: The one You mentioned, using spear instead of fish sword. Spear itselfs adds +1dmg every time You use it, for the whole combat. With that energy wand it can very fast scale to insanity (like +7-+10 dmg per round). 2nd suggestion: Do the golden Axe run (Axe which uses gold as energy). I buffed it with stones and stuff, and it's pretty fine, but hard to scale further damage at some point.
@@kkxe8830 no, I meant with the normal herbs - if you have a log you can create infinite, if you have the soup they heal you for 5 and if you have chainmail they add block to it for the rest of the fight.

i suggest here as im too lazy to go on discord, but burn should be reduced by % of its total amount after it deals damage as it scales too fast

I think you need to hit a certain amount of runs or get a certain amount of distance in the run

Unless you have a 1 turn KO for 7 energy, its absolute trash

Yoooo Sifd I had a run with the nunchucks and I destroyed the final boss, I was doing 12 damage per hit!

You need luck to get a piggy bank or even more than one piggy bank.
