Hi mate, my van is nearly ready for the road, DVLA classed it as a van with windows. You mentioned your insurance at £197 fully comp. I have been charged £520 with Adrian Flux fully comp with breakdown cover and no claim's bonus protection. My no claims is 14 years. I would be interested to know who you insure with mate and I will use them next time. Safe travels and enjoy👍👍👍👍

Hi nice video. I love Weymouth been going since I was a small child and visit often now. I found them to be very anti camper and motorhome which is a shame. I stayed 2 nights in the pavilion car camping I did get a ticket after the second night but thought 12.50 a night wasn't to bad. Portland is great for vanners worth checking out. Take care
I did take a short drive to Portland and got told of quite a few places to park but I wanted to be in waymouth, I’m definitely thinking about returning to Portland though 👍👍

@@ProjectCamper on the fine it stated sleeping in a motorhome. So straight away I was like nooo wrote to them saying it’s my daily driver, that I was out on a long walk.. blah blah blah. I haven’t even got windows and still got the bulkhead in it’s a white van. How they come to the conclusion it was a motorhome I do not know. 🤷🏻♂️
They try it on, Hoping you don't appeal. If it looks like a camper or is an obvious motorhome they will give you a ticket. 100%
This is why most councils now ban overnight parking. Selfish van lifers have spoilt it for everyone, including themselves.
David: I don't much see what the problem is ... cars park, and vans park - so what's the big deal about that? It's when van-dwellers start getting all their gear out the van and spread it all around, cooking smelly food, leaving litter etc. That's when it becomes a problem. But just parking up in a car park ... ❓❓
Don't understand these realy realy long vans! I have a short wheel base Master just over 8ft length inside and well over 6ft height on the inside. My bed is fixed along the back doors so that's 30 inch off the length and I still have ample room to move around comfortably. I can drive into any little village and park, mind you it was like rocking horse shit to find a very good one of this size. It has no windows with roof rack and ladders on back doors so passes for work van all day long. Funny that woman getting parking ticket with her Tarot cards in her pocket. No seriously to anybody thinking of a van SWB medium roof perfect perfect SIZE!
