I like how there's not really a "good" ending for the character we play as, because even if we get the "good" ending our character will still be tormented by his shadows for the rest of eternity. The only difference is, is that our character actually shows remorse for what he did and accepts his punishment fully.
@@Jedi-ge6lr Oh is that the one where you're in the car and you drive to your home to realise your child escaped through the window? It is a twist, probably for an alternate universe because Afton was Henry's partner when they made the franchise. If I remember correctly.
I remember I installed this game, played it for 5 minutes, and then uninstalled due how terrifying it was. It was giving me war flashbacks of At Dead Of Night.
This game gave me back those childhood vibe that whenever you turn off your lights, you better run as fast or the shadowman will get you, AND THIS GAME GAVE ME BACK OF THAT TRAUMA.
I want more FNAF fan games like this! Instead of repeating the same game mechanics from the original games like so many do, the mechanics are used in a different way and the atmosphere is terrifying along with the ambiance. I also love how this game portrays William Afton ; a man that causes suffering who also suffers himself. If a new FNAF fan game uses him again as an enemy character, I think he should act as a secondary antagonist and make a new main villain of its story.
I completely agree! I love the original formula but seeing games inspired by fnaf and changing the mechanics completely is so refreshing and makes me love the new concepts. I’m trying to find some new games that do that so if you have any recommendations let me know :)
Something beautiful is the jumpscares, it’s not there to rip apart your eardrums. With the quiet and near silent ambience. The sudden “RAAH!” out of nowhere sends you into another plane of thought. The animations are nice and simple with the Animatronic quickly sliding into frame before zooming into the camera. It’s simple but all that’s needed
I find the stories to be a cool interpretation of why William was a murderer. This kinda feels like Charlie’s version of custom night rather than Cassidy
@scarletgoat173 it's not a raw onslaught of rage and endless faces from William's past. It's slow, methodical and calculated in the punishment of William, getting into his head and tormenting him mentally as opposed to the non-stop maiming and brutalising from the 50+ animatronics after you
@scarletgoat173 Charlie possesses the puppet. The puppet is torturing William in this game, whereas in ultimate custom night it was the vengeful spirit doing it.
Not sure if you know this, since you didn't mention it in the video, but Phisnom, the creator of this game, is being paid by Scott Cawthon to make an official remake of the first Five Nights at Freddy's, FNAF+ He's made sure to not reveal much about the game, but the main 4 animatronics have had a major redesign, there will be a really in depth custom night, there will be more than 5 nights (I believe rn the confirmed number is 12-14, with the main 6-7 nights, along with the "+ mode" nights), it also seems to have new mechanics, like you now have to manually move the cameras instead of them automatically scrolling left to right, it seems cameras can be disabled, and Freddy might have a new mechanic relating to the new power room next to the right door, also the Puppet seems to be involved in the game, you can customize the UI and office, and I believe Phisnom has gone on record saying the story won't be the same as the mainline FNAF series
That’s a neat twist with William Afton. The first story of the boy killing his dog automatically had me predicting he’d be a damn serial killer, and while it’s been done before where a villain/antagonist was later revealed to be the player all along, it still works.
*_Is it_* a neat twist? Up until the Puppet dropped the bomb, "William" had been a complete blank slate- no face, no dialogue, no hints at all that he was anything more than a nameless playable avatar for the player to imprint themselves onto as they immerse themselves into the story. You can't point at a silent, nameless empty space of a character, declare that they were a named character with an established backstory and personality all along, and _Poof~! it is so!_ Especially if they're still gonna continue acting like a blank slate even after the reveal. You understand how jarring that is?! In short, call my sense of immersion "Charlotte Emily," because this game went and frigging _killed it!_
8:07 I was never expecting a Music Box cover of Break My Mind of all songs, but I appreciate it! Also despite the grim story, your voice is very relaxing, and this video helped me sleep 😅
So far I've watched all three videos on your channel and I really enjoy listening to the information you give us on each game! I never got to see the ending to this one, since the youtuber I watched the playthrough of this never completed it, but this game scared me so bad. I love the point and click mechanic it has to move to a different place, as well as the lack of color to make it more interesting and standing out to other fnaf fan games. You definitely earned a subscriber out of me, can't wait to hear more! :]
So this video was the first time you got to see the ending? Really happy that you got to enjoy all my videos, hopefully you’ll enjoy the future ones as well!
I feel like this is what five nights at Freddy’s used to feel like, Erie, Unknown, and was genuinely terrifying. Now there’s a ton of lore, and you understand the animatronics almost 100%. That along with the Memes of the game really made it less scary. This definitely helped relive what those early days of Fnaf really felt like.
The scream for the jumpscares is apparently a modified recording of Phisnom himself screaming, which is pretty impressive. I have never heard a more terrifying scream than the one in this game, although The Joy of Creation: Story Mode's scream in the 4th night comes really close.
My theory: The good ending is William’s good ending and not everyone else’s. Based on the night 5 story this game might take place after fnaf 3, this is William’s 2nd death. After getting the good ending, William can finally escape into his next form: ScrapTrap. The plushie might represent how they’re all still there unable to move on and collecting them is just keeping them trapped with you(William) until fnaf 5.
What an amazing video, thank you for this! This game truly captures the true horrors of the franchise, and you even enchanted this stressful feeling with your top notch creepy commentary!
I'm planning on playing this game someday and man it does genuinely look terrifying and that's something I don't say about horror games. Also some massive compliments about your style of narration, it's so comforting even with the topic you're presenting.
I knew it was the Puppet immediately, with ot pulling you to safety, wanting to help you, and having the white eyes. I also knew the boy was gonna be Purple guy once it said he was testing trying to make the dolls come to life. I was not expecting us to play as him though
duuude your narration, and the presentation for this video makes it even more scary! Hopefully this video blows up because this is so underrated keep it up!
Lol love that with the first night’s story I was like “I have no sympathy for that kid cuz killing the dog is unacceptable to me” and then we find out it was William and I was like “Perfect, I’ve always hated William anyway!” 😂😂😂
Meanwhile, when I learned you were playing as William, I was like, "... Wait, what? Where's this coming from? Wha? The player character has been a blank slate for the entire game! You can't just reveal that a blank slate was a named character like that, especially if that character is gonna keep being a blank slate even after the reveal. That doesn't make any sense!" They could type entire paragraphs of text telling you how much you suck, but they couldn't devote any of that writing to take us inside of the player character's head? Maybe have a paragraph before each night detailing William's thoughts as he's roaming the place he's trapped in. have William dismiss the first parts of the puppet's tale as a lame ghost story. It's better to SHOW that the player character has little to no sympathy for the victims of the toy-obsessed child's murderous machinations, than to just TELL you he doesn't, you know? Have his monologues note that the later parts of the puppet's tale sound eerily familiar to him, enough so for his search for an exit to become more and more desperate. Until finally, he puts the pieces together and begins truly panicking. And THEN you can have the Puppet drop the bomb! Make his tone go from _"oh wow, big spooky toy child murdered a dog! this is so lame..."_ to _"this is still very stupid and goofy, but something about it..."_ and finally, to _"I gotta get out of here. I remember everything now, and I HAVE to get out of here!"_

Ok first five minutes… SCREW THAT KID, i am bias because i own doggos and it makes me so sad and upset thinking about how the poor pupper just wanted to play but ended up dying instead! I hope that evil spawn gets chucked in a sping lock suit.
the dog story is so unrealistic, breaking a dogs teck at will is insanely difficult, they will get out of position regardless of being a puppy or not, and a CHILD just breaking the dogs neck is even worse, they should have made the dog have broken his spine somehow, maybe the kid had a tug of war with a puppy dog and after doing a lot of force he lifted of the ground and hit his back on a wall.
Even though I play this game (FNAF Vetaran, been in the franchise A HOT MINUTE), this one game never fails to scare me. I'm walking along, thinking im doing fine, then SCREAAM! I literally jump out of my chair every death. Phisnom made a great piece of software with ASoF
I played this when it came out, I was stuck on second night for like a week, but I finished it. Yeah, it was pretty creppy and gameplay was really fun to play
I was gonna say "oh, it's just UCN", but it actually predated UCN by a few months. I suppose the purgatory idea was nothing new to FNAF, but damn, that's some fortuitous timing. I wonder how Phil reacted to that. If he said anything about it in a video, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to find it now. *sigh*
I like how there's not really a "good" ending for the character we play as, because even if we get the "good" ending our character will still be tormented by his shadows for the rest of eternity.

This game is awesome, ive watched someone play this before and another analizing it, i love it
Dude, your videos are sooo awesome !! Good job,the writing, the explanations, everything is so good !!! I hope to see more of your videos/work,i really enjoy it,youre super cool !!
I had always heard about this game but never looked into it. Great synopsis!! I really appreciated this and now wanna watch the game play! What an awesome fan game, what a great video, love ur voice. Thank you!
2:37 has it really been that long since a point a click game has been made that we don’t know what one is?
Ok first five minutes… SCREW THAT KID, i am bias because i own doggos and it makes me so sad and upset thinking about how the poor pupper just wanted to play but ended up dying instead! I hope that evil spawn gets chucked in a sping lock suit.
My God the Irony
dog deserved it
point and click horror games traumatized me, Yknow those games in Y8 games? Yeah those.
That is truly a good video before I sleep. It's almost 2AM for me...
the dog story is so unrealistic, breaking a dogs teck at will is insanely difficult, they will get out of position regardless of being a puppy or not, and a CHILD just breaking the dogs neck is even worse, they should have made the dog have broken his spine somehow, maybe the kid had a tug of war with a puppy dog and after doing a lot of force he lifted of the ground and hit his back on a wall.
i love your videos! i was so excited when i saw your new video in my recommended!! your voice and editing are amazing!
I remember when this game just came out, its sad that mark hasn't played this yet
the break my mind music box is a nice soundtrack
It really was :)
bro im high asf and 4:51 fuckin terrified me
Ima grab my spicy chips real quick :D
Also RIP doggo 😔
oh god, this fan game is actually really good. I remember playing it, being scared like seriously scared
Would love to see you cover Joy of Creation. While I actually liked the demo much better, the story mode final game was still REALLY good!
As a scaredy cat who doens't play horror for that exact reason i can't wait to watch this and ruin my sleep schedule more than its already ruined
Even though I play this game (FNAF Vetaran, been in the franchise A HOT MINUTE), this one game never fails to scare me. I'm walking along, thinking im doing fine, then SCREAAM! I literally jump out of my chair every death. Phisnom made a great piece of software with ASoF
you could have warned about the jumpscares, holy shit i got scared. you made me drop my croissant
Quaso
I have bad humour. Thanks for the heads up though
This video feels like creepypasta reading.
I hope there would be more that type of game because it’s creepy as hell and also very good
I kid you not the first time I played this game I got jumpscared so hard that I planked. JUST STRAIGHT UP COLLAPSED
i remember watching 8bitryan, and fusionzgamer play this. I loved watching both channels playthroughs. Great fan game. Wish it was more well known.
Nicely explained, no complaints about the video
I played this when it came out, I was stuck on second night for like a week, but I finished it. Yeah, it was pretty creppy and gameplay was really fun to play
nice commentary dude really gave me chills
Phisnom: The Alan Moore of the FNAF Community
I’d say him being the Garth Ennis of the community would be a more apt comparison as he isn’t crazy like Moore.
@@_insomniac_423 then if Phisnom is this community's Garth Ennis then who'd be Alan Moore?
I was gonna say "oh, it's just UCN", but it actually predated UCN by a few months. I suppose the purgatory idea was nothing new to FNAF, but damn, that's some fortuitous timing. I wonder how Phil reacted to that. If he said anything about it in a video, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to find it now. *sigh*
Well I know this from phisnom but I'm happy you covered it also

Holy crap! This game… the lore is like the frosting on a cake!
