Wow, thanks! Editing is very much still an on-going process and some of the things out there that I see, I know I'd never achieve but hey, thanks for seeing it for what it is, an honest body of work. Cheers!
Thx for the cool and good review. I'm a WIN Max 2 user, but I definitely like to watch videos about other handheld devices. Thank you very much for all the info you share with us. Keep it up! :-)
I bought a Retroid Pocket 2+ from a seller for 90CAD and while I like it the left analog sticks more out than the right analog which can be troublesome when you try to carry it in your pocket. The 2S analogs seems to be the same height. Nice review though.
@@GameTechTalk They're similar except the left stick are positioned on the top-left and there's no R3/L3. It's a little bit underpowered compared to the 2S, being released a year earlier but most of the time I play rhythm games like Dance Dance Revolution & Pump It Up because I like smashing buttons quickly.
In my personal opinion, this is the best for affordability and also if you only want it to play up to Dreamcast games. This is perfect for that and I wassss going to purchase the Pocket 4 Pro however I thought to myself, I already love playing Gamecube and PS2 games on my tv why not just use this for my older games instead? Plus it's A LOT cheaper and more comfortable to hold.
I haven’t picked it up in a minute but when I had originally, I was amazed at how good this one particularly felt. Thanks for reminding me, I’ll pick it up again soon!
Ahahah! I hear you, I'm in the same boat so I try to recycle them into a UA-cam career 😂 All kidding aside though, thanks Majin, I appreciate the kind words!
From what i experience from this to improve on just little is make 4 inch screen without bezel i like box screen rather then widescreen as i just wanna play gamecube ps2 and below. And just make it handle gamecube and ps2 with perfection as im old school gamer. Grew up on original nintendo up to ps2. I just wanna play older games.
I reckon it might take a bit of extra time, maybe a year or two? 4:3 or 3:2 panels tend to stay in the entry level model and those are usually not efficient enough for Gamecube and PS2 but hopefully, in a year or two, as we get that "annual mainstream" chip upgrade, I think the device you describe is not that far off.
Yea I agree I like the size of rps2 if it can have 4 inch screen and 8 gigs of ram and better chipset. But I'd say a year or so it be more affordable. But rps2 is great for N64 and below which I'm fine with and fact can play sum gc dc and PSP I'm ok with. Plus I love green color. For price it's definitely worth it.
Ahahahaha! You know, we all look at the same devices and I do think there is a mental process of wanting to break the "mundane" from time to time so indeed, the color that stands out often gets picked. Or, there is no actual logic and we just all like green, you included! 🤣🤣
Just ordered the 3gb version for 126 bucks including shipping got the miyoo mini plus now but not very comfortable hopefully this one will feel better.
Oh definitely, they both are nice but where if I had to pick one, RP2S no questions asked. RP2S is a legitimate solution. MiyooM+ is more of a novelty, just a very amazing one.
Oh definitely, it's a bit on the small side screen-wise but all the same and because it is so light, keeping it close to your face is easily achieved for long periods with this handheld. After which, you'd most likely tackle these retro shooting using their original control schemes and yes, I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't have a blast from the past, if but feeling like you are compromising a bit. But believe me, the nostalgia will more than make up for it. Thanks for engaging!
It occurred to me to install the Quake port into my Miyoo Mini + and the game runs great, although the controls really need those dual joysticks. I will keep the 2S in mind and maybe I'll grab it in a sale 👍 Also, do you know if the 2S can run ps1 games through Duckstation? Because if it can run them with some of the fixes it provides, I'm sold on it
I do not personally but if I did, I'd look into finding a potential setting in the debug/developer mode of Android. You should find a guide on how to access it without too much effort on UA-cam/Google. Cheers!
Thanks for the video. Would it be possible to test 2 more games? Legacy of Kain - Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance. No need to make another video, you could simply reply to this message. Thanks!
Nice classics there! Sorry for the delay, I was mid productions but I got the info you were looking for: Soul Reaver 2 was almost playable, dips can get quite low (40-45fps) if possible, I'd look for a PAL rom and I think it might be a decent experience overall. As for Defiance, it's similar but the dips are lower (as low as 30fps), and even when dipping at 50 from 60, the game slows down whereas Soul Reaver 2 maintains gamespeed better despite fluctuations. While I think, that with patience and concessions, Defiance might be feasible, I'd reserve that game for a strong handheld. Defiance
@@GameTechTalk wow, thanks for getting back to me and testing those games. I think I'll wait for some 4:3 2024 handheld that will manage to play both. I have a Steam deck and it can handle any PS2 game, I'm just looking for something more portable. And also cheap 😀 Cause I don't feel like shelling out $350+ for Odin 2 or $250 for retroid 4 pro (with taxes and shipping)...
I so want this but I already have a few devices already, I was super pissed it had those Hal sticks and analog triggers! It doesn't feel like we got the RP3+ that long ago and this is such an upgrade for the hardware. I'd love if we had a proper back button the RP3+ or a way to remap the home button to a back button, i tried using a button remapper but it f*cks with PPSSPP, Redream and Dolphin controls. I hate touching the screen lol. I gotta skip this, got an Odin, RP3+, RG351V, and an old GP2X Ver.2 from 2005/06, and that's enough for now lol. Great review, buddy!
You're telling me! 45!? Jesus, man! lol! I mean I don't want it to be like women and shoes, shoes for every occasion lol. I just need something pocketable, something powerful but portable and like.. that's it lol. @@GameTechTalk
I wouldn't actually know but I would assume it does? Unless it's notoriously taxing on hardware, this thing can still pack a decent punch and old Runescape looks pretty basic by today's standards lol. Or maybe it is hard on CPUs for having multiple players simultaneously? Yeah I really don't know, sorry.
More power on Android is nowhere near as valuable as on SteamOS or PC. Android does not YET leverage even the top-tier SoC that the platform has. Even Apple barely scratches the surface with their new "console quality" releases now coming to the Pro 15 lines. But, for emulation purposes, a device such as the Odin 2 is pretty much the best in terms of raw power we can get on Android. At least until the Redmagic 9 Pro release in December that has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. I can't wait to see just how superior it'll be to Bionic A17 Pro. 😈
Love your editing style!

Thanks!! Greatly appreciated!
I really enjoyed the video . The intro was was amazing too.
Thanks! I'd like to do some intros like that again in the future, glad you enjoyed!
I got the metal one and loving it!
Yeah, Retroid did a lot of things right, no great, with this handheld. Cool stuff for sure!
Love your review of this handheld. I think I'll pass for now as I bought a RP2/RP3 and never used them... I buy too many devices to keep up with them

It is a great device for sure!
Awesome review

2:09 is that some Faxanadu I see back there? I enjoy me some Faxanadu. One of my favorite NES soundtracks!
Right? That game's soundtrack is seared into my brain and has been living rent free for decades. One of the very few games I replay from time to time!
Wavy intro bro keep it up
Thanks 💯
Loved the intro good job

There error in your video says internal 126gb emmc actually 128gb emmc. Great video thank you.

did all of you on youtube decide together to go with the green one, or...? I just got my 2s today, and of course I got the green one :)

I guess im gonna pull the trigger on one of these before Soulja Boy gets his hands on them and knocks up the price an extra $200 bucks.
😂😂😂 I'd bet it won't happen because Chinese manufacturers probably learned it's bad press at this point! 😅
@@GameTechTalk LOL and i subbed you too bro! Nice channel and content.
