I get this question all the time from people, "Do I completely fill the gas tank or not for storage?" And my answer is yes to prevent condensation in the gas tank. Then I add the Stabil fuel stabilizer & drive the boat around a little on the trailer so the it mixes completely throughout the tank. And you're right about adding it & the running the motor for a minute or so to make sure it gets through the entire fuel system. Also, do you do anything for your trailer? I make sure my tires are fill to suggested PSI & park the trailer tires on carpet to save the life of the tires from just sitting on frozen concrete all winter.
@@ryanshimabukuro3283 good callout on the fuel tank. I do that too but forget it. I do make sure my tires are at pressure since I have to tow up to Willard to store. Beyond that I don’t do anything other than inspect the bearing hubs. I check those pretty much every time I tow though as I’m terrified of a bearing failure. Part of the reason I pay for lake storage.
@@ryanshimabukuro3283 also good callout on the concrete. I have heard on RV forums that long term concrete exposure can mess with the rubber. Supposedly it “draws out the oil in them, also can cause a flat spot and dry rot.” At least some say that. Quotes from a google search I just did. Maybe i’ll drive up with some carpet or wood soon 🧐
Don’t forget to flush antifreeze thru the shower! Simply turn on the shower when the pink stuff is flushing thru. 🔫 I also stopped fogging in my EFI monsoon because it gummed up my injectors. Great video Rich!
