Dude. I have met her 3 times, and she is the cutest tiny little thing. She is like a petite shy little mouse, then 2 hours later she walks up on stage and fucking owns it like a larger than life rockstar. She is unreal.

I call her Captain Metal, because like Captain Marvel, she is the strongest superhero in the MCU (Metal Concert Universe). She comes complete with mild mannered offstage alter ego. Then she transforms when she hits the stage. She has super powers onstage bro. She looked at me "like that" from three feet away last week in Milwaukee. You feel the impact of that bro.

The wildest thing about this to me is that she did that at the END of a show and sounds like she could keep doing it for another hour without breaking a sweat. Her voice is just wild.
Also, Coast Contra dropped a new live on their channel you need to check out!

Jinjer is a band that surpasses music and goes right to poetry. And as far as Tatiana transitioning from clean to growls is even more impressive in person. To think that English isnt her first language is absolutely astounding...

Growling is a vigorous and tight use of the vocal chords, which can cause vocal cord strain. It can strain the vocal chords if done improperly or excessively, which can cause voice fatigue, hoarseness, and pain.
Tatiana does it PERFECTLY without causing damage. It takes years to master and Tatiana is one of the best I have ever seen. 100% BEAST.

I have listened to some of her interviews and when she speaks English it can sound quite broken, but when she writes English, it is like she has a Phd in the language, her dictation and grammar and pronunciation are just perfect.

I've found with most metal once you read the lyrics you actually can't NOT hear them even if you would be unable to decipher them. It makes such a big difference. When I was a kid the second I got a CD i'd pop it in and get the booklet out and follow each song the whole way through the album.

The video is awesome. They don't skimp on their videos, and the Ukrainian production teams seem motivated to get their work in front of an international audience too. Quite a few Jinjer videos rank among some of the best in the industry, imo. But it's been overshadowed by this performance, which happens to a lot of their songs. If you want, double features with both the omv and concert performance are fun. :)

Not only do you have XG, my fav Xpop group, but now Jinjer my favorite metal band. If you add Dreamcatcher, my favorite K-pop group, i might have to call you my favorite reactor.
Jinjer is fantastic live, i was lucky to catch one of their shows a few years back. As crazy as the moshpits look, they are normally very respectful, help people up, and keep it contained to those involved. I just stood towards the back and vibed. Highly recommend them live if you get a chance. She is also completely self-taught in terms of singing.

while the OMV for this song is indeed beautiful, this particular live performance is the traditional "2nd stop" on the Jinjer Journey™ since it shows off their actual live chops. sure, Pisces is _technically_ a live recording, but it's still in the controlled environment of a studio and still subject to at least _some_ level of post-production. (many reactors get that first shock and then wonder if they can actually pull it off "without a net").
they are really good live, and do have some very popular live performance videos ; but for me personally, i do really appreciate their OMVs , especially in later years when they really started upping the concept and production quality.

Well she was definitely out of breath afterwards, goes to show how much effort is needed for this kind and level of performance. Her lyrics are awesome, with a wide range of topics. What's incredible to me, she writes in her language first, than translates to English and still manages to make it all work!
Her only training was her shouting and growling at cars at the highway or other crazy stuff, no vocal coaching whatsoever.
Do 'Teacher teacher' OMV next, and by all means, don't miss the lyrics.

    • @module79l28
      @module79l28 18 днів тому

The reason why she was out of breath at the end wasn't because of the effort she put on stage for this song, it was because of the way she controls her breath during the song and the last part, with the long sustained notes going straight into the last screaming part must be hard on the breath control.

The music video for this is good but there is something about this band live that just puts it up another level. Her lyrics are really good. This one is about seasonal depression where it starts when fall comes and eases when spring comes again every year. Nature destroyed and then rebuilt. Lately fans have been anticipating a new album from the band and the music is mostly done but Tatiana hasn't written her lyrics yet. She said in an interview it can be hard to get the inspiration. She puts a lot of thought into the lyrics so as you probably know you can't just conjure them on demand. Some other good ones to react to would be Judgment and Punishment One Take Vocal, Outlander Official Live at Loundfest. I Speak Astronomy, Pit of Consciousness Live in Kyiv. All of those have good studio versions but just as with this one there is something about live and up close with them.

I would have liked to have heard what your thoughts were on the lyrics before you started the video and a follow-up on Pisces. Generally rock and metal is better live, which is not to say vids or album not worth it, just that live is more energetic and still clear and clean usually, unlike a large volume of pop or rap, where opposite may be true as good rock and metal doesn't need the same level of studio production....that is why u "(didn't) believe" that she really sings like that until saw live

Bro for real, metalheads are some of the nicest people you will ever meet in your entire damn life.
They look scary but they are more friendly than any other group of people out there.
Moshpits can get rough, but you bet your ass that as soon as somebody gets injured, you got 5 homies helping you out, picking you up when you fall down, giving you first aid bandages or whatever you need.
They get all their aggressions out in the music and all that's left is love, peace and happyness.
