That's an awesome back tire. Really wild. If that's new for BMW, it's a radical departure. Car tire on a bike. I'm sure it gives it a lot more stability.
love the voiceovers and the knowledge you have for us. You should give more context to your video like this. Love the content. Thank you for sharing your adventures
Impossible to have a car tyre in a moto here in Europe. Although it's impossible doesn´t make sense at all. why 2 GPS screens? a bottle of water wasn´t enough? aren´t you thinking of doing some stops to stretch the legs? god speed
Definitely interested in the bags you have strapped to the rear crash bars - not the contents but the bags themselves. Also, how did you rig up that water jug. Looks like a great idea. I’m getting ready for many day ride with a group and that kind of hydration setup would be great.
Hi, the water jug is mounted on the passenger foot peg bracket with part that replaces the peg. The bags are just mounted with 3M dual lock tape for fast removal. www.amazon.com/B-M-W-Adventure-R1250GS-Motorcycle-Waterproof/dp/B0BWY7QGY5/
Hi Greg, where did you wire your GPS into? An aux port, or direct to battery? I have the Nav and audio package and am unsure how to tie it into my auxiliary power.
It looks like something the Clampett would come into town on. You took a perfectly good motorcycle and you fucked it up by putting all that shit on it.
Hi Greg, my name is Ryan Foley. we exchanged email last june. i was getting ready to ride a saddle sore 1000 at the time. I have since completed a 1000 and a 1500 in 48. The rides are extremely fun. i am planning a 1500 in 24 next, probably iowa to Florida or iowa to az.The only electronics i have added are a phone mount and a simple pach cord to my 06 goldwing i use Google maps and UA-cam music when riding also the camera for recipe pictures i am on a limited budget and wonder what you think the best use of money would be for upgrading a very basic setup like mine. fule capacity, radar doctors, better nav, better coms, aux lighting, or camera upgrading to better cronical my rides, maybe gps tracker or something that you know that i am not thinking of.
If you plan to ride at night then more aux lighting would be a good investment. Otherwise, a good GPS with Bluetooth and a Bluetooth headset would be best. An aux tank is you have too much money :)
@gregrice56 Thanks for the advice stoping every 200 miles or sooner is annoying but not really unsafe like not seeing well at night and i have a corded helmet setup that works but bluetooth would be way more convenient but again not unsafe so lights it is
Awesome fit out. The back tyre looks like its from a car . Any chance youd post the links as to where you bought the various add ons ? Cheers mate

That's crazy! I'm in! Raised bars and lowered pegs it seems too!

What are the mirrors you have mounted high up on your windscreen? Who makes them and where did you get them? Thanks!
Is that a Car tire on the back wheel? This is the most decked out bike I have ever seen. It's like ready for Doomsday :)
Yes, it is a car tire 😁
can you share why?
