With my Senn. HD 400 Pro's I can confirm your comments. I'm also interested to buy a closed back these days, what do you think of the DT 770 Pro X (I'm worried if its is too V shaped?) or is the 700 pro x better for you? I'm looking for an alternative flavor to use with HD 400 pro's for mixing ( my wife hates the sound bleed out of this openback at night in out small apartment :) )

The 770 Pro-X are in deed a little V-ish. Just like the 770 pro, the top end and also the upper mid section is a little pronounced. Not in a bad way, they're great for mixing, but all in all the 700's deliver a more even and less fatiguing sound on my opinion...

There are parts where the music sounds fuller after the burn-in, such a the rock sequence around here 8:20

I used a track that incorporates different artificial sounds like white noise, frequency sweeps and stuff like that. It's from an app called "JLab Store". They sell earphones and offer a burn in track within the app / on soundcloud.

You just put your DT 770 pro X to the normal state of use, the headphone and cushion sit better on your head, drivers ( speakers ) are moving better ( moving pieces that don't move or put to rest in a box gets rigid over time )
when I say moving better, they move like normal now like how they should.

Absolutely agree. I also talked to the development guys at Beyerdynamic and they confirmed, the drivers don't get burnt in in the factory and also the stellar.45's doesn't even need that kind of treatment. Simply use them as normal, no need for any special shenanigans. 👍 Without the direct a-b comparison nobody ever would recognize any difference in sound at all.
