- Finally AMCA gets CCS approval. Rs 15000 Crores have been sanctioned for India's 5th generation fighter aircraft. But will DRDO, HAL be able to deliver the aircraft to Indian Air Force in time? How advanced will AMCA be? With US, Russia and China already developing and operation 5th generation aircraft and Turkey and South Korea in advanced stages of development' will India be able to keep up? In this video I have discussed all this in detail.

Avionics software and the engine are the most difficult part, merely assembling doesn't count as "made in" So is understandable Indias' efforts to bring that technology home
So, apart from us,France,Russia which country have their own engine let apart the jet manufacturing...btw, for ur I wud like to tell u avionics and software in these are home grown...

The real question is not when will AMCA fly? The question is if it will ever fly? Tejas took 35 years to get from paper to IOC....with American engine, Israeli avionics....not indigenous.

NOT entirely true .. tejas was stopped many times inbetween for many reasons .. yes, some missiles and avionics, engine are from partners so what... getting started is the hardest step... and simultaneously india HAS developed its own enjine but thrust of the engines needs work, and avionics/radars are now being deployed which are our own... so what exactly is your point.
World laught and reduculed us for our space programe , only to eat their own words and have the humble pie... with india we may take time but we will get there at our own strength with quality and precision... laugh to that mate !!

I am very well aware of the Kaveri engine that all Indians have been talking about for the last 2 decades but have never been able to get it to work properly. Is that the same engine you're talking about?

If after 35 years of development, you still can't fix all the bugs, then this Tejas project is hopeless. The entire Indian aviation safety record is atrocious and appalling. Indian pilots with fake pilot licenses, very2 common. For the price of a Tejas, you could already get a much better plane from somewhere else. Indian after-sales support is practically non-existent. Indian contractual commitments are untrustworthy. Even your own Navy rejected the Tejas.
Space program? A desperate attempt to sway the conversation somewhere else are we? Hahaha....

@@sandeepsandhu4286 Indian 5th generation fighter AMCA has been on mock-up stage since forever. that's akin to like still warming up before the start of the race. In case you didn't realize, the race started 3 decades ago.
Turkey and South Korea are well past halfway into the race.
USA, China and Russia had completed the race well over a decade ago. They are prepping up for the next race.
The Pakis, they didn't even bother to go to the starting point and jump in halfway down the track. Say what you will but there are no rules for these kind of race.
But the Indians believe they can still win the race when their first prototype rolls out 2 decades from now. And even that is a monumental MAYBE.
Meanwhile, the Pakistanis took the smart route by working together with the Chinese to come up with the cheaper but much better JF-17, well over 100++ built, now well into production of Mark III version, multiple significant international orders with just a fraction of the development cost/development time as compared to the Tejas.
It's obvious which is the success and which is the failure.
Now the Pakis are talking about acquiring J-20s from China and co-producing KAAN in the future........all this while AMCA is still just a pathetic mock-up display in aviation shows.

US, China would already be flying 6th gen aircraft when India will be still rolling out 5th gen AMCA prototype for testing...it is cronic tendency of Indian govts to delay the project due to lack of taking timely decisions and sanction requisite funds for R&D....Tejas delay is example of such beurocratic delays caused by various govts...political understanding and will power is behind such delays☹️☹️😧

Sorry, but Turkey is no longer part of the F-35 program and I am pretty sure Turkey just helped in developing things like a highly-integrated and domestically-developed sensor suite, including a new active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar being developed by Aselsan using the latest gallium nitride (GaN) technology, an integrated electro-optical system (IEOS) includes a dedicated infrared search and track (IRST) sensor and an electro-optical targeting system (EOTS) and new electronic warfare (EW) and self-protection system. The same thing can be seen in their Bayrakter drones as well. And in the KAAN fighter jet as well. The founder of Bayraktar also studied drone tech in the US as well. Do you really think the US could not make the F-35 when they made the F-22 Raptor which is the most advanced fighter jet in the world today? I will say 32% is a highball because Turkey itself could not build its own jet totally indigenously but just inducted the things which were already in the Bayraktar drone. And you are talking about a touch screen in the cockpit? Heck even in KAAN Turkey could not do that. If they could do it in F-35, why not in KAAN? Does that make sense? Yes, I agree Turkey is ahead of India when it comes to drone technology but I won't say for the rest. Turkey was already manufacturing the F-16 under the license of General Dynamics and was part of the F-35 before buying the S400 from Russia which made the US angry. While India recently got a manufacturing license from Sukhoi for SU-30 which means India is already late here. If Turkey was so good at making fighter jets, why did Turkey only build KAAN? Why not some other aircraft as well which was equivalent to F-16? Does that make sense? And I won't say it leads in electronic warfare because it can only make UAVs for now which also uses American GPS. And the US lags behind electronic warfare? Huh? Are you kidding me? When all the countries which possess 5th gen started early process n scientific research on the same what was indian administration administration doing in the late 80s n 90sq, they were sleeping on two projects the ALH ( Advanced light helicopter) & the LCA (Light combat aircraft) for many years , until the modi govt came to power HAL, NAL,ADA& the DRDO all got to their feet to fasten the lagging project , we should have started early , HAL was on a slow pace since 1971...
Turkey and S.Korea are not ahead as Turkish KAAN's future in uncertain, and S.Korea's Boramae isn't 5th Gen, it's just 4.5++ Gen. S.Korea did plan for 5th Gen, but that would come into picture after another decade, so S.Korea decided to jump to 6th Gen instead and we won't see any until post-2032. But having plane doing the flight testing and working with sensors and radar etc.. can be good as they can collect valuable data and flight results to improve and tune the hardware and software.
Neither Turkey nor South Korea has truly 5th gen fighter jet like the US has anyways. Even J20 is not completely 5th gen fighter jet. I will say 4.5 or a bit higher than that at best.

Dear fellow countrymen we got delayed with the project due to our own administration not showing enough n more interest until the recent Modi govt came to power , The ALH ( Advanced light helicopter ) & The LCA ( Light combat Aircraft ) Both were lagging from the 80s on ... Only the modi administration fastened the programs and could catch up with the rest , otherwise our pilots would have been still flown the infamous flying coffins... Every other days news.. We need good leaders who can make HAL, NAL, ADA , DRDO & other organizations to keep them on their toes ...

KAAN with exposed tail thrusters is not a complete stealth fighter. It shows the limitations of Turkey R&D. If the thrusters to be covered it should be inside some heavy thermal withstanding material.
