Restaurants in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach all close around 9:00 pm ,so you want to be at your chosen food destination by 7:00 or 7:30 pm at the latest. The Wharf is no exception. I think that the Ferris wheel operates until 10:00pm but all of the restaurants and shops are closed at 9:00pm. Not a lot of night life in OB and GS , but there is a lot to do. There's a car lot that specializes in old school muscle cars, classic cars , and cars that were produced in limited numbers that might be worth checking out in Gulf Shores. I believe that it's called "Gulf Shores Motors" or something like that. If it's still there, it's right off of Gulf Shores Parkway
Thank you. Great video, my daughter is in college in Alabama and we I wanted to spend her spring break on the gulf, your video just confirmed it. Your family is beautiful. Many blessings to you. 🌻
@@WeekendsWithStacy in the early 1960’s money was being raised to move the Alabama from the west coast to Mobile. School children, including me, donated recess $$ to that fund. So I guess that makes me a charter member of the US Alabama “Fan Club”.
Cool 🎥video! Beautiful children and you all as well. My brother's family live in Mobile, Al. It's near Gulf Shores. He often visits this spot and absolutely admires of town and the sea. White sands and a lot of sunny days over there. Thank You for your job. Great video
Great video, me and the family are heading that way next week. If the weather lets us we'll checkout a lot of this and probably a few additional hikes.
You look just like another UA-camr but she does coupons🤗 we are headed back down the end of may! Bringing our 5 year old grandson this time and my mother i law 😁 we all get along lol
If anyone takes a vacation in February, never miss Mardi gras in mobile. It's the most fun of anything. I've never met a mean person at Mardi gras mobile. Very family oriented and it's a fun time for ALL to have. We drive 6 hours every Feb just to go to the parades. You can't go wrong. It's about 30 min drive from Gulf shores! Their community really works hard to come together for families near and far! Also, they have the best foods at Mardi gras. We pay 10 bucks parking on Claiborne drive , right across the street from the BACKside of art gallery. You can't beat it. Sometimes they have 4 plus parades in one day. Stay all day and enjoy the most fun of all. Very safe too! Police even have 24 7 smiles on every corner. Some people bring a canopy and their own grill. Some just take a cooler full of spicy crawfish , buttery potatoes and corn.. polish sausages. (we do that) Bring baby wipes but there bathroom porta.. are just about on every corner. Hand sanitizer has never been empty for us. They have a giant outdoor stadium with big groups come in. Nelly was there one year and this year it was counting crowes band. This is all FREE stuff too. Other than food and souvenirs.. Bring your own food and it's all free. Oh and the parking of course. If you park in ones of those parking areas like Claiborne.. you only have a few feet to walk up to the barricades for full time parade fun! Don't forget to bring bags for your beads and souvenirs that the floats throw. They throw giant stuffed animals, moon pies of every flavor, Mardi gras cups and so much more to mention. We usually dump our bags into our trunk in a larger bag in between parades. They fill up fast. Kiddos of all ages with laughter and excitement!! You'll see beautiful ball dresses and long tail tucks throughout the night. Even the ones who had too much to drink are super nice. Lol Don't forget to load trunk with fold out chairs because you'll wanna walk up to barricades a bit early to get you a good spot.
While they don’t allow them on the ship, dogs are allowed on the grounds around it and they have kennels you can rent for them while you’re exploring the ship. Happy travels!
Seeing how it’s self-guided and they have several different tours available, you can take as long or as short of a tour as you like. We were there for 2 hours before until we felt we had seen it all.
My Aunt, Uncle and my cousin and myself went there for our vacation and we didn’t want to leave. I wish we could have moved there permanently! Surely they have better jobs and better hospitals than we have ours here , these quacks!!
@@WeekendsWithStacy that’s one of the reasons why we didn’t want to leave! It’s so fun and the weather is so nice, it’s hot but it’s not humid like that up here where we live. I am not a mountain person, the smokies is pretty, but it’s not the same as the ocean 🌊 and palm trees 🌴

Foley resident here. Enjoy brother
@@getoffdiznuts187 awesome
OWA and the farmers market are within the city limits of Foley. The Wharf is at Orange Beach.
That’s true! But if you’re in from out of town, they’re all close enough to visit while in Gulf Shores.

You’re absolutely right!

Looks like a nice town
It really is!
What time of year were you there didn't you look to busy
We went in January, so it was off-season, which definitely helped with the crowds.

When did u go? We planning on March. Wonder if it’s cold
We went in January! The water is cold (and probably still will be a bit chilly in March), but the weather should be perfect!
We go atleast 4 times a year. Over half of the March months we have been able to swim.
Do they allow dogs at USS Alabama? Are there kennels where they can stay? I assume they are not allowed in the ship itself.
While they don’t allow them on the ship, dogs are allowed on the grounds around it and they have kennels you can rent for them while you’re exploring the ship. Happy travels!
@@WeekendsWithStacy thanks for the info. How long did it take you to tour the ship?

Oh I’m totally a mountains kind of gal, but there’s just something about that salty ocean breeze too ❤️
@@WeekendsWithStacy I get carsick when going around curves, I have had that since childhood.
October through April only, otherwise too many folks.
That’s a good point. We went in January and it was perfect.
A great place to stay for large groups heading to Gulf Shores: ua-cam.com/video/9DKp-h_0IRY/v-deo.html
Nothing
It used to be a beautiful place. Now it is just overrun and over crowded and over built...
That happens a lot with popular locations.
