This Beach is SO MUCH BETTER Than We Expected!! First Time in Gulf Shores (RVing in Alabama)

- We have been told the beaches in Alabama are beautiful but they are so much better in person than we ever expected!! We drove the motorhome over and stayed at Luxury RV Resort in Gulf Shores which is just a quick walk to the beach. We packed up a cooler with a picnic lunch and took a stroll. The sand is powder white and the water is emerald green... just beautiful!
After a nice day at the beach, we head over to Flora-Bama... because sooo many people told us that we just had to check this place out! And we see why! It is the oldest honky tonk outside of Nashville and quite the experience. Starting in the afternoons, the bands begin to play. There are three stages where you can listen to the blend of country music you are in the mood for. I think we saw a total of five different bands while we were there. So much fun!!!

The sand comes from the Appalachian mountains hundreds of years ago. It’s a fine quartz that squeaks under your feet.

Gulf Shores is a hidden gem. Girlfriend and I moved here less than 2 weeks ago. We looked in Pensacola but when we visited the Gulf Shores in April we fell in love with this place instantaneously. Glad you enjoyed your visit
Not anymore. More and more people are finding our beautiful beach and it’s not necessarily good for it. Just remember if you come: LEAVE ONLY FOOTPRINTS. We love our beaches!

As a born in Bama girl..i have been to beaches in California..south Carolina..maryland....nobody has beaches like Gulf shores....those sandy white gorgeous beaches are amazing...i love this place..clean...spread out. .its breath taking at sunset and sunrise

We just got back from Orange Beach. It was beautiful and we had a great time enjoying all that Gulf Shores and Orange Beach had to offer! Worth the trip for sure!

We go there every Christmas and stay a week. We're from kc, mo. We go to that dollar general several times a day. We stay at the townhouse right on the ocean. It's wonderful!!!!!!

NOT Gulf Breeze... Technically It's Perdido Key, an extension of Pensacola... Gulf Breeze, is in between Pensacola and Pensacola Beach...

We tried the shrimp cocktails at Doc's on our last visit. The shrimp were huge and delicious, and we did the make-your-own-sauce thing to go with them.. Sooooo good!!!😋❤

The water actually gets better than that. It's a bit green and murky. I went after Christmas and it was absolutely gorgeous. There were some brave people in the water. It was very clear and the blue went farther out. The water clarity depends on a lot of things. I love your RV and your video.

The gulf water on the FL panhandle and Alabama coast changes day to day. Sometimes it is flat like lake and the next day it has fun waves. So beautiful!

Spent the first week of June in Gulf Shores (our first time as well). Traffic was a bit crazy but the beach was awesome (kids collected lots of great shells). We just may go back again! Oh, and it rained most of the drive down for us as well (from Indiana).

It is a great place. We were there last month. Stayed at Gulf State Park in our 5th wheel. Loved everything about our week. It will definitely be a yearly trip.

Welcome to paradise! I have a couple of condos down here and it is just amazing. I have some friends with RVs as well and they absolutely love it! It really is heaven on earth. Try it when things cool off as well. There is just something about having a cool breeze while walking on the beach.

I am sorry you didn't get to see the beaches before so many condos were built on them. There were beautiful sand dunes covered in seaoates, it was so beautiful then. I guess they call that progress.
