I love love LOVE Double Wear Nude. I’m in Ireland and am a total Casper, but I’m pretty sure the palest shade we have is Shell- although the shell in Nude is far paler than Shell in the other Double Wears. I can wear Shell as a night time shade and do love the feeling of it, but I just wear the Ordinary day to day because I find it feels similar and is far paler. X

Great review, really informative! I would love to hear about how the double wear concealer goes with it. It sounds like the concealer is modeled after the original formula so I'm curious if it blends well with the nude formula.

I checked the Sephora app and the lightest shade isn't available in the US. 😕 That's such a bummer because I'd love to try out this foundation! I'll have to check my local department stores!

My holy grail foundation! It’s so funny how undertones work because for me it doesn’t show pink at all on my skin and almost leans more yellow (shell was like painting me pink!) and also for me beauty blender is best! Looks beautiful on you. X
Yes!! So funny! I have a bizarre skin tone - I can even make Too Faced Swan work which is hella yellow if I blend it well and don’t use too much product! But NARS Siberia is a big no no haha

Arna, you look so pretty and elegant. I'm envious you could get your hands on the 0 shades. I've tried the 1C1 but alas a bit too dark. The finish is fabulous tho. I think you'd love the new $7 CYO foundation they sell here at Walgreens, but the lightest shade, 101, while gorgeously neutral beigey, would probably be a half shade dark for you as it's perfection for me. But it would definitely be worth trying with a lightener. The finish is unbelievable and long lasting and dewy.

Thanks for the review! 27 shades here in Italy (on the website, guess in the shops there will be half of them if we're lucky) and the fairest one is 1N2 Ecru.. guess I'll stick with my Mac Studio Fix♥ N5 then, which costs less anyway. Have a good day Arna!

Love this! Will you be doing a review on the Anastasia soft glam palette? I have it and like it but have been feeling a bit uninspired on how to use it, since I’m used to cooler toned shadows on my pale skin (naked 2). I’d love to see how you could make it work on super pale skin

I would love to try this makeup but alas no shade works for me. I love my original double wear but even the lightest warm tone shade is too dark on me. I want to see a 1W0 in this brand, especially since their 1N0 runs more pink. Anyway, loved the review!

My favourite is the YSL Le Encre de Pieu in B10. It’s sheer enough that the colour can juuuuuust work haha but it’s one of the nicest finishes ever!

I tried this and dont like it at all. it seems to sit on top of the skin sticking to any porse. it does not blend in to the skin, the finish looked dry and patchy. i did try several techniques to apply, sponge, brush and even just my finngers but nothing made it sit nice
Great video! I would love to see av video on tinted powders/powder foundations that are pale enough to set under the eyes and the rest of the face for more coverage. And a comparison of shades. I have the Mac Studio fix powder foundation in NW10 wich is to dark (also the loose translucent powder from Laura Mercier is a bit to yellow for my undereyes). I want to find a pale powder leaning more pink. 😊 I have a feeling you're already planning one though. 😉

I'm so confused by the US shade range. Why would they cut it down so much? They're already manufacturing the shades; I don't understand why they wouldn't offer it in the US. How irritating, especially since this looks beautiful and I'd love to try it but ordering abroad is a bit of a pain.

For everyday, yes. But I still love the Lancôme I prefer for evening/full coverage x
Do you have the shade 1C0 in order to compare the two? I am in the US and would need to pay quite the shipping if I’d like to purchase it. My skin is extra fair, dry, neutral (cooler rather than warmer). I have the 1C0 and it’s just a bit too pink. I’d love to finally have a great match. Thank you ☺️

😢 oh I’m sorry it doesn’t! I must say, it is a little finicky in the sense that it only looks amazing when used in the right context (eg application tool, Primer etc) so if you can figure out how it works best for you, it’s great - otherwise it can be a hot mess haha
This foundation was created by estee lauder in everett washington (usa) for a woman named Andrea Cerio in everett wa because there was no make-up for her. So estee lauder created a make-up line for her

Hey Arna.. I’m in B10 shade in YSL All hours and YSL Cushion and it’s perfect for me. Will this shade (1N0 Porcelain) match B10 in YSL?
I think this is a shade lighter than B10! I can get away with the cushion because it’s so sheer, but the All Hours in B10 is too dark for me! So maybe go for 1N1 instead x

I'm testing a new foundation right now too, sadly I had to stop using the Fenty in 110 some how without me noticing my skin has gone from oily to normal(than you new skincare regimen). It took forever to find the Fenty. So now I'm trying to find a new foundation in my shade for normal skin that's still full coverage. I'm starting with the tarte clay stick the fair beige is the best colour match I have ever found in a foundation. You got any suggestions? I'll take anyone's suggestions.
And it needs to be cruelty-free which is even more limiting aye! I’m a bit stumped - but I’ll keep searching :)
Yes this is why I need help, so few to pick from and even less being I'm in Canada and we don't get nearly a quarter as much as the US.
have you tried the Huda foundation? it's pretty close to full coverage. doesn't emphasize my dry patches or anything either. you could also try the Dermablend smooth liquid camo.
Rachel O No because neither are sold in Canada we have the Huda but only the darkest shades I would have to order from the US and pay shipping and customs to get either. Then there's the very real possibility they wont match. Oh and the Canadian American exchange rate sucks. We get about 15% of the makeup the US gets.
Plus Huda is very scented and it’s enough for me to not wear it
I looked online and I’m sad cause it doesn’t look like they offer the porcelain shade in the US.....:( I hope they add it!

The foundation has such a beautiful finish! 1N0 isn’t available in the US (that I could find...the lightest shade available is 1C1 cool bone but I can’t even swatch it or get a sample because it’s not available at any store within 100 miles of me 😫)

This is a pretty foundation but all of the shades are too dark/saturated for me. I tried 1N2 with a white mixer but the mixer is really making my skin unhappy. Oddly enough, since Bobbi Brown was bought by Estee Lauder, I have found their shades running more pink.

Now I’m eager to try this! 💕 Can I ask a “dumb” question...what is the rule of thumb for what type of primer to pair with what type of foundation? For instance, I own the Hangover Primer, but what type of foundation ingredients should I pair with it?
Like with Like is a good rule :) so silicone base Primer with silicone based foundation, and water based primer (TF Hangover) with water based foundation! However, I’ve also found water based primers to generally work fine with silicone foundations but not the other way around :)

Have you tried the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation? I'm wondering if they are comparable, since they're both water-based. The Tarte one sits very cakey and dry on my skin for some reason, and I'm wondering if on me this would do the same. Looks lovely and glowy on you though! :)

It wasn't the Estee Lauder or Sephora website. I am looking at other websites that have the shades and will do a lot of research before purchasing. I have the worst time trying to find a really good long wear foundation so I'm willing to try. I have purchased from a few sites in England and Ireland for other products and they were faster than some based here.

Same here! I just tried 1N2 and it's way too dark for me but it's a pretty foundation. The UK also has way more shades of this formula in total than the US!

This foundation seems great for my dry skin but, of course, the lightest shade (on sephora.it) is too dark for me. Very disappointed. I found it on esteelauder.it but I prefer to try it before buying it.

I am so confused. I cannot find 1N0 in the Double Wear Nude in Canada or the USA. I've checked Sephora, ULTA, and the Estee Lauder Canada website. I did find it on some different international websites. I need to try it so I will get one from a company out of the UK. I know I've said it before, but I love your channel and reviews because you truly have the same skin that I do. Very pale and neutral undertones.
Sephora Canada has 1C1 and 1N2 as does the Estee Lauder Canada website. As you mentioned there are only 12 shades here.

ULTA finally ships some products to Canada but Estee Lauder is not part of that. When I pulled up the USA ULTA it has 1C1 and 1N2 only as well.
I should have specified in the video more clearly - huge apologies - but shade 1N0 isn’t available in the US or Canada. Best to order from a UK based site if you can (or even the Australian link I provided might have International shipping)! I do know that the US has recently added 1C0 in their normal DW so hopefully they’ll expand the Nude range soon!
maybe they could have put it in a squeeze bottle, I know it's not as "luxury" but then I don't worry about breaking it if i travel with it.

Arna Alayne yes very true. it would all just run out! man I just realized almost all my foundations have a thicker texture, I wish this foundation or the nars longwear came in a better match for me. maybe for the summer.

Especially since Estee Lauder sells really well here. I don't get it. Why have shades that aren't available to all your customers? They're trying to make their brand more youthful and attract more people, but they're forgetting that women take better care of their skin and don't lay in the sun tanning like they did in the 80s. **steps down off soapbox* *
On a good note, 1C0 of the Double Wear is available online through Ulta now! Mabye in another year, they'll sell more shades of the Double Wear Nude.

This looks beautiful! Unfortunately Canada has even fewer shades, only 9. 1C1 is the lightest, and 4W1 is the deepest. So disappointing and ridiculous.
