Earth Day at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Carlow

Staff and residents marked Earth Day at the HSE’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Carlow with the planting two apple trees.
They were joined for the ceremony by special guest, the Cathaoirleach of Carlow Co. Council Cllr. Andrea Dalton.
The trees were donated by Colm O’ Brien in memory of his mother Kathleen and by Topline Doyle’s.
Director of Nursing in the Sacred Heart, Jenny Dowling said the occasion was to honour and celebrate our planet, raise awareness about environmental conservation and encourage action for a healthier and more sustainable future.
