- This video explains the ser project assigned as homework in Wednesday's class. The assignment is due on Monday October 26th. If you were absent get a piece of colored paper from the substitute.
Please copy the rubric from the video (what I write on the board) onto the back of your colored paper where you will do the project. Use the green ser sheet in Mi Vida to find adjectives to describe yourself. Don't foret to make it feminine if you are a girl!

@@jpierce8148 Looking at it again, I think she was trying to say "Before paying, they ask for the check." But in Spanish that would be "Antes de pagar, ellos piden la cuenta." Just a guess...
I am a new Spanish teacher this year for 9th graders and my first language is Spanish, but I am struggling on methodologies and your videos are helping me greatly. I do not have your same personality, you are more enthusiastic than I am, but I did use this video and used some of your methods teach the verb "ser" to my students. Your students seem to be very well behaved, I can't say the same about mine. Thank you for your videos.

Las cuestiones gramaticales es mejor explicarlas en el idioma nativo de los estudiantes, sobre todo si aún no tienen bien desarrollada la habilidad de comprensión auditiva

Yo ahora podría seguir una clase en inglés si hablan claro ( de hecho uso estos videos como listening ) , pero al principio de mi aprendizaje , si no me hubiesen explicado gramática y vocabulario en español primero , para luego practicarla en inglés, no hubiese podido seguir la clase y me hubiese desmotivado mucho .
I think this is what English teachers usually do here in Mexico, on the other hand, Why are you criticizing this way? Don´t be rude!,
We sometimes make mistakes or misspellings when we speak out or when we jot down in English. People in general must be more respectful.
If we are good fellows, we should share some ideas to improve what we do Spanish or English, instead of attack.
To shoot a video is kind of hard, I know me must be professionals, but I think It would be better if her class is in Spanish.
This is a proof that no matter where you come from or where you work ( as a teacher ) If you want to teach a foreign language This is going to be a big challenge. Thanks for your material teach, focus on your mistakes, and that´s it. Keep doing this.

There are 3 misspelled words: on the board, "Ateleta", it is "ATLETA"; "Enginiero" it is "INGENIERO", on the wall "Rosada", it is "ROSADO". If you are a non-native Teacher, you should look at the Dictionary and make sure you are writing the word correctly. It's ok that a teacher doesn't know everything, but a good language teacher must have a dictionary always.

Soy hablante nativo de español pero hablo inglés y me encantó el timbre de voz y el acento de la maestra de español.
I loved how she pronounced a few words like "origin". She has a lovely accent and great personality as well. Me hubiera gustado haber tenido una maestra como ella.
Para ser maestra de español hay que saber español primero. Muy mala metodología y estrategia para dar una clase de español. Muy mala pronunciación también.
Pues si yo hubiera tenido una maestra así, aprendería chino o árabe o japonés con tal de ligar con ella.

Usted debe hablar totalmente en español. Yo sé que es difícil de completamente entenderlo sus alumnos, pero es mejor que ellos empiecen a oír cómo suena el idioma en cualquier forma o acento en cuanto antes. Por eso, muchos de los estudiantes estadounidenses que aprenden español tienen problemas con el idioma en la universidad o cuando tratan de usarlo con los latinos en los Estados Unidos... porque sus maestros (a veces los que no son de origen latino/castellano) no lo practican si' mismos.
Quizas no puede. Conozco muchos maestros de espanol que no hablan ni una palabra.

Why does she not try to pronounce the Spanish words properly?
