Oh my goodness, the halibut sweater has been on my radar for a while, but after seeing how lovely yours is it just made its way to top of my list! Love love!
Just a crocheter passing through who is also too intimidated by knit patterns and videos. So instead, she binges lovely knitters like you. You're so fun to listen to! The brown fuzzy sweater, and your first sweater were my favourites.
You definitely don’t have to, but I’d recommend just going for it with knitting a sweater! It can always be unraveled. Obviously though, I’m totally biased. I’m so excited to start on my first crochet sweater though. Super nervous but also excited. 😆
Honestly, as someone who has crocheted since childhood and was always to intimidated to learn to knit, DO IT! It's not nearly as hard as you think. Learn continental and go for it! It's easier than crochet, imo.
@@uschilou Funnily enough, I tried continental and found it SO hard. My brain keeps thinking the right needle is a hook😭. Imagine trying to crochet using a needle, it's like that. I'll absolutely take the leap though!
Love the way you ended your video. I've been going through a bit of a rough patch and it really helped me to feel grateful for managing to get through another day, so thank you. And I love laying in sun patches with my cat too
This is my favorite type of comment to read. I need the reminder that none of us are isolated with these struggles and the best thing I can do when I’m having a good mental health day is spread love to those that aren’t.
Just yesterday I went through my knits to decide whats going in the good wardrobe or the bad wardrobe (a cupboard things Im not sure about go into and if theyre not worn in a period of time will go) or straight be given away. Its hard with knits cause they took time and effort but now watching you has helped me with my resolve 😊

The sweater vest and the little sleeveless tops look the best, I believe, on your body type. Please make more of these for yourself. You deserve it. I agree that one sweater can be made into a t-shirt. I really like the pattern on the Stripy Affair sweater. I agree that the November jacket is less than ideal. I would frog it because whomever takes it will have the same problem. The sweater with the one striped sleeve is a great graphic design. I personally would not wear it with that sleeve shape and would fix that. The sweaters I loved the best were the Semper Slipover, Grace Sweater and the Stripy Affair. The first sweater I ever made shrunk in the wash (100% Germantown Wool) and I couldn't wear it. I gave it to some ladies who make mittens and slippers out of felted knits. I was told that my sweater was made into tall slipper socks. The sweater had an asymmetric button closure and the drapey collar was six inches wide and fell over the front and around the back. The collar formed the top cuffs of the slipper socks. I was so happy.
Loved seeing all your sweaters! That red knitted halter on you looks so rad! And your justification for wearing the sweater backwards with the cable party in the back. 😄
as always, I love our catch-ups! Your style is so relaxing and I genuinely enjoy hearing what you have to say. I wish you had a pattern for your first sweater ever, it is everything!! I've knit a few jumpers, all by following a pattern. I am more creative with my crochet jumpers and don't always rely on a pattern.

All your sweaters look so good! I love the Polaroid one best. I’m still a beginner crocheter but hopefully one day I could make a sweater even half as nice as yours.
I think the semper sweater could use a short row bust dart in addition to maybe a bit less short row at the back neck. Your bust is lifting the front hem which is why it’s so much different in length from front to back.
This was a really fun video to watch! Would you consider doing a tour of your yarn stash sometime? I'm trying to get into using natural fibers and the craft stores near me are pretty scant, so I'm looking for suggestions.
This is such a lovely chatty video, I was responding in my head and making suggesting that you couldn't hear (that's how you know it's a good one, lol!) I love the Halibut Sweater - it's amazing! Yet again I need to learn how to knit (or do I try and convert it to crochet?) There were a couple of your tops that you mentioned being a little short, have you though of adding extra ribbing to making them longer a the bottom, or you know even higher waisted trousers! (I think they're called super high, there the ones, I buy :D) And yes, as a fellow tattoo'd person I agree that showing it off is a must
I just stumbled across your videos right as I'm knitting my second sweater ever, and it's so much fun seeing what other people have worked on - wow are those a lot of beautiful tops!!!! I'm not sure if you've still held onto that bulky weight sweater (I actually love the idea of the colourblocked V!) but if you wanted to manage the loose ends before keeping it/giving it away, I think that you might be able to braid them down? I've kind of been hyper-fixating on fair isle garments recently and I've been seeing that particularly in patterns where you're switching colours maybe every few rows, a lot of people will leave snip the ends when changing colours, leave them out and then braid it down into one big seam once they've finished the sweater - it's a really neat technique and I think that it might be able to work in this case.
You read my mind! I saw a video a month ago showing braided ends and I can’t stop thinking about it 😄

Lovely knits! 😊 As for the November Jacket, maybe if you lengthened it, it would stay on the shoulders? I have a feeling that in the full length version, the weight of the front would pull the sweater down a bit and keep it in place. On the other hand, handling that stitch after the garment is finished must be awful
Okay, so I don’t see it but I’m on vacation now with all of my in-laws and everybody voted that I look like Renee Rapp 😂 so I guess I do. I’ll take it, she’s gorgeous 🤩
About the november jacket... How about using safety pins to discreetly pin it to the shirt underneath or even the bra for extra stability? It really is pretty...
Drops Alpaca is too itchy for me too. The ball of yarn where the stransd all lie flat and parallel is soooo soft to the touch. But once it is knitted, I can't wear it on skin any more because of the subtle itch. It gets a little bit better with blocking though (but still not enough not to itch).
Another knitting lover! I am not planning on starting a knitting business since my fingers are already struggling to keep up, but I’ll never say never.
And may I ask you where did you get your white pants and red top? We have similar size and these garments look cozy and neat at the same time, love it!
They’re both very cozy. The sweatpants are old navy, I size up for an oversized fit. The red top is from Girlfriend Collective, it’s their Topanga Halter Bra.
