This was the most straight-forward, easy to understand explanation of how to know rim size that I found. You did an excellent job explaining things in a way that was easy for someone who has almost zero prior knowledge about tires/rims to understand. Thank you so much! It was also very well-made, with easy to understand audio and clear video.
I watched almost 10 videos regarding the explanation of rim measurement and size. I was confused as nobody explained upto my level. You really explained great. Hat off.
I want to echo what Muhammad said. I never knew there were so many nuances to rim selection. This is the absolute best, clearest explanation I’ve ever seen. Thank you!!!
I can't believe that such a good youtuber has so few subscriptions, the explanation is simple and clear, no shit! ! ! Unlike other youtubers who like to talk a lot of shit and start talking about the text.
One of the best videos I've ever seen for explaining on any subject. And the humor is perfect. Great combination for learning. Your hard work is evident and appreciated !
I finally understood what's the meaning of those odd markings on the rims. Good job my friend, straightforward and clear explanation, thank you very much.
You're a great teacher. Finally a video that explains the rims for people who know very little about their cars. I lol'd a few times too. Keep it comin'!
Wow you have done a great and excellent job. I dont know car well and often feel being ripped off by mechanics. I try to learn but not easy to find a video instructions that can talk my level of language. You teach me to the level that I can understand and really appreciate. Thank you so much for teaching.
Henry Chung thank you very much for the feedback 🙏🏼 when I first started studying automotive I found it very difficult to understand some concepts so I try to make it easier for people to understand and I’m really glad you found my video useful :)
I'm learning about car tire rims because I need to replace mine. Thank you for the great video. Great information and explanations. Loved the humor too; steering with the mop bucket - priceless!
dude best rim video ever!!! I'm putting some used rims on kijiji and if anybody asks waa waa what's the size, will they fit, I'm sending them right here so they can GO TO SCHOOL!!!!

Dat boii had me laughing when he said you done goofing my friend, I died bruh but good shiit now I know what I need to do, and that is to stop goofing 😂
so two questions , if I decide to buy new rims and tires what determines the appropriate sizes of the rim that would be appropriate for my car ? Then when i know which rim is right for the car how do i find the measurements of the of the tires to fit the rim ? Very good video!
Gg good questions! 1st question where to find your proper rim size - most manufacturers put a sticker on the inside of the drivers door area it’s called a ‘Tire Placard’ and it tells you the proper rim size and it will also tell you your proper tire size 2nd question was about tire size so basically if you know the width of your rim you can search up on google “proper tire size for rim widths” and you can find a chart that will tell you the different tire sizes that can fit your rim Thanks for the feed back 🙏🏼
Thank you I was trying to figure out what wheel size were my Enkei wheels were didn’t know I could check the inside need to order a new one because a pothole bent one really bad
best one so far on that offset measurements and what it means. I watched a bunch of em, still confused till I watched yrs. Quick question. I got a ford ranger wildtrak and I need to change factory tyres and rims. I want make it aggressive as it can get so I'm thinking a negative offset rim is for that purpose so the tyre is pushed out of the vehicle, making it stable and closer to a mosnter truck look. Now, how far negative offset I can go considering the clearence and the tyre size that would match that? How much negative offset is too much :) ? thanks a lot in advance.
Meeto Mikarite Hey thanks for the feedback my dude! Whenever it comes to changing wheel offset the measurement that needs to be recorded is called ‘back spacing’ I would recommend googling it but it’s basically the distance between the mounting hub of the wheel to the back of the wheel and once you got that you just gotta make sure no suspension/steering components will come in contact with that backspacing and also your truck seems pretty heavy I wouldn’t go crazy with the negative offset just because I feel like offset is key for proper load distribution on the rim! Honestly I would have to make a whole video to properly explain this stuff but I hope I made some sort of sense 😅 cheers
@@ManiiZilla cheers mate, appreciate the time to explain it. Yes this is clear and I watched a couple of videos on backspacing so all is makesense. The professionals will do the job so they'll may have the same advice not to go too hard on offsets but it's good to understand these numbers and the worse case scenerios. and yes this can be yr last video when you run out of topics to cover :)
I got a 96 Toyota Tacoma I want to put some 16s on it bolt patterns 5114.3 the center bore is 67.1 what are the brand will can I use or do you know where I can get some
let say you have a car with OEM rim 16x6.5J with 55 offset and I got another pair of rims that are 16x6.5JJ with 55 offset. The bore is the same. the only difference is Flange that one is JJ and the other is J. Will this cause any issue or will the tire adjust? I know that JJ has a bigger hight and radius. My belive is, it will not affect. But want the take on others on this.
I have a set of "universal" rims. The center bore is bigger than the wheel hub. Is this actually safe to mount? I thought it was required to be a perfect fit, just based on common sense, I don't know anything. But is it common to run rims like that?
Ok i got a little bit of confusion about the diameter of the wheel. If you know the brand foton. It came with stock 16" wheel but if you measured it from end to end radius you will measure 17" and if you measured it at the back at its inner diameter (not the outer) you will measured 16. Can anyone tells me whats going on that? Thank you 😅
i dont even need to look this shit up, when a man said you done goofing my friend, I KNEWWW for facts THIS MAN IS FROM TORONTO/SCARB/ETOBICOKE/SAUGA/BTOWN region
the wheel hub/center bore is for wheel centering only....nothing to do with wheel load, the wheel holds by friction force between the wheel face and hub face and to have the right friction you need to torque the wheel to spec other than that good vid

So do you need different TIRE size if you have an 19x8 vs 19x9 wheel? Like 245-19-45 for the 19x8 vs 255-19-45 for the 19x9?
Good job. Now i really understand. Go on with best luck
