I actually did EMDR after an abusive relationship. It 100% cured the PTSD, but the anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, and depression that lingered was only healed by Jesus.

As someone who was a patient of Amen Clinics, im going to be honest. I struggled with severe anxiety and depression most of my life & tried therapy and all but nothing helped.. So when I heard about Dr. Amen I was super pumped. However, My experience with Amen clinics was pretty disappointing, it didnt do much for me. And the amount of money you need to get better is insane, they told me I'd take years to heal. So I left the treatment because I couldn't afford it anymore. Not too long after though I found a relationship with God and found my healing in a matter of weeks! ❤ You don't always need to go into long term treatment, if God healed me he can most def heal you!

      I'll agree with you,
      But....
I'm also learning that sometimes you need both.
Sometimes a person may need both...
      Jesus...and Treatments.
Every Person is an individual with...
      A Personal Journey...
      Healing comes in different forms.
      BUT---- DEFINITELY-
"JESUS IS NUMBER ONE #1 "❤
HE "IS" THE BEGINNING TO TRUE HEALING.
I DO AGREE that ALL the TREATMENTS Can NOT CURE What and the SAME WAY that JESUS CAN
      In ONE MOMENT...
      In ONE MOMENT of SURRENDER
      With HIM.❤

This might sound dramatic but I’m gonna say it anyways. I’m a twenty nine year old guy that’s lived in major cities. I became a Christian after attending church during college in 2017. I’ve spent significant time around models and actors so I understand the world that you’re both coming from. I think this podcast is one of the biggest blessings to society that I’ve ever witnessed. This world has become so devoid of Jesus, Christianity and accountability to God. You two represent the complete opposite of the hedonistic, narcissistic personalities of most physically beautiful, young people today. Your unique testimonies and personalities are unbelievably refreshing and are no doubt a huge reason for your success. I can’t stress enough how impressed I am with you both. You two are quietly changing the world. Much love to you both.❤

@@GirlsGoneBibleSoul Purified Now in Christ's Blood ! Realize you are a sinner being sorry. Sin is lying, evil thoughts, lust, etc. Therefore, do not trust in your own works to go to heaven because you realize, being a sinner, you cannot offer the perfect blood sacrifice that God requires to pay for sin. Instead, believe, meaning fully trust, that in Christ's love for you, on the cross, His one perfect blood sacrifice, when Christ bled, suffered and died, in your place, paid for your sins in full, past, present and future ! Believe that Jesus rose from the dead ! Believe Jesus is God Almighty, God the Son, alive for evermore ! And believe that the sinless blood of Jesus Christ is what cleanses you from all sin, which purifies your soul ! Then the Lord Jesus will forgive you, save you from hell and give you eternal life ! And you will be sealed with the Holy Spirit who will dwell within you forever! And thank Jesus ! ‘Love the food that loves you’
Goshhhhh that’s such a word. He drops that so casually but it was so stinking profound. I’ve struggled with anorexia/binge eating and I just had such a revelation about how binge eating foods that are bad for you, is just like loving someone who treats you like crap and doesn’t love you. And it probably stems from a lack of self love, and respect for the gift of my body that Christ gave me and died for. Geeeeeeez that was big for me. Wow wow.

Sorry to hear you deal with that, a lot of EDs, specially bumila, has to do with shame. And that's at the core of that ,and needs to be taken to God and dealt with the the revelation of who you are in Christ and what Jesus's did for you. Also the book a More Excellent Way, by Henery Wright is a really good book for understanding what God says in the Bible about his will for your health

I was asking God how I can grab psychology and start seeing it on his perspective he created us and our minds. ❤️ There’s a reason why are mind reacts to negative things it’s a way of God letting us understand that it’s not that way or this thing or this person. What is of God causes peace ❤️ What is not anxiety and depression etc.

Thanks for the interview ! As a dietitian, I just want to add a few things to the nutritional advice given in the video :
On the one hand, I agree it's important to be aware of the impact of food on you brain/body, and on the other, we also have to remember that "healthy eating" is all about balance. There aren't "unhealthy foods", because it all depends on quantity. Enjoying a piece of cake after dinner isn't the same as eating sugar at every meal. For certain people, cutting off certain foods (let's say sweets) can lead to a binge restrict cycle. For others, "eating healthy" can become an obsession, which is called orthorexia. Supplements aren't necessary if you eat a variety of food in a balanced diet : don't self-medicate and get checked before using supplements.
So, in other words : target a balanced diet, try to cook more, favor whole foods instead of processed foods and don't blame yourself for enjoying any kind of so called "bad foods" every now and then.

Lately I’ve been feeling convicted about the foods I eat. I have struggled my whole life to get to a shape I’m feeling good in. Always had issues with weight or the way I see myself. I’m not obese or anything, but never really at the health level I should be. I’ve been praying to God to help me with this because I do believe it’s Gluttony I’m dealing with, and nobody ever talks about that sin. People always talk about the other sins but never overindulgence and overeating. Then this video pops up. God is so intentional. ❤ thank you so much for this. Gluttony should be spoken about more by Christians. I’ve been suffering from major headaches for over a year now, and they come around way too often. I KNOW it has to do with the food I eat. Most likely sugar.

Phenomenal interview ladies with one of my favs! Love Dr Amen! 11:19 that voice of criticism, that Amen talked back to (which is the correct response), I don’t know if he really thought it was God criticising him about a heartfelt conviction leading to prayer to Him (God), but Judaism has an elegant construct regarding the battle in our minds. The Yetzer HaTov (good impulse) and the Yetzer HaRa (evil impulse). The Yetzer HaRa doesn’t really do affirmation or love. So if you’re hearing negative tear down or temptation-type thoughts towards trouble/evil, it's just your dutiful Yetzer HaRa doing what it does. 41:48. Rejecting or ridiculing those thoughts to show non-acceptance I think is key. We even saw this with Jesus having to refute things his well-meaning followers said, so it's normal 36:07 props to speech team training/coach!! A soft word/joke turns aside wrath/accusation. 37:17 Amazing that his biggest critic Brad P is now collaborating on a paper - is that what I heard?humility, love & forgiveness are irresistable, so huge to remember our battle isn't with flesh and blood (Brad P was never Amen's enemy), but it's within our minds, and the principalities & powers that seek to control them! 37:41 people who do bad things might have a bad brain - empathy & compassion. 38:13 grief/loss ... I have to stop for now ... . so so good!! about 40min into the 51min runtime

My favourite GGB episode !!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 I’m a clinical counsellor currently being trained in EDMR. This treatment is amazing!!! Find someone who is actually trained under EMDRIA (gold standard) many people try EMDR and it doesn’t work because the clinician was not properly trained or following the protocol in the way that Francine Shapiro intended. You need someone that actually follows the proper/pure form of EMDR and has advanced training!

It was good and yes, I agree, that we should watch what we eat. I agree with Angela, that sugar is dangerous! I had anxiety and ADHD because of much sugar.
Just a kind reminder: this episode was focused on food and supplements, what is good, bcs I feel like, especially, we, charismatics has the tendency to overspiritualize most of things, but still we also need to say, that many problems are caused by bad/demonic taughts, bcs many christians don't know, that they has to renew their minds, cast out the spirit of fear/depression etc. I was having depression and very bad taughts, bcs I opened myself to demons in new age.
So sometime the problem is more complex. But we have the Holy Ghost who can give us wisdom how to get heald from different disease/depression etc.
We should even pray for the gift of wisdom and knowledge!❤

Yes that's such a big part of it, capturing your thoughts and replacing the Devils lies with the truth. It's starts there. Your gut health is also important. But it all goes back to spiritual roots and what you are ultimately believing not about yourself, God and others.

Love Dr. Amen and his writings. Wish I lived closer to his clinic to get a scan. But based on the brain assessment test, my brain checked out as a 1 and being normal.

I used to see a therapist and he was great but I also saw a psychiatrist in the same office and she was terrible. I basically told her off telling her she never listened to me asking why her desk faced the wall and therefore her back to her patients. I told her I was not taking any psychotropics she thought she was going to unload on me. I told her that all she cared about was writing scripts all day and not about her pts. Needless to say I stopped seeing her even though my therapist said it was difficult to find a psychiatrist. I told him that’s fine bc I didn’t want one. 🙄 I have a background in counseling though I didn’t stick with it but the short time I was a counselor I saw what meds could do to crazy ppl… make them crazier.

I was diagnosed with severe depression and gut issues after losing my parents, I had no idea at the time that there was a connection between the stomach and brain. When my stomach doesn’t feel right, I’m sad and moody. Probiotics and eating the right foods is the only way to heal the stomach and mental issues.

It’s definitely one of the potential ways but not always the only way. There could be serious issues that need medical attention.

I love doctor Amen's approach! I get angry whenever I hear people either praising medicine (drugs) and fully trusting it or on the other side totally avoiding it. Some people do need antidepressants others don't. Doctors need to realise meds aren't magic candy!!!
